Rofert, Albert, Harry, Philbert, Tee Tee, Jessica, Barbara, and Starla were at a Subway Station, waiting for the train in order to get to the airport. The subway station was empty. It was late at night to be fair.
"Hey, I'm sorry that this vacation didn't go as planned." Said Albert somberly.
"It's fine, we couldn't go to the con but at least we got to see historical landmarks!" Said Harry.
"Besides, we can go to another one next time." Barbara said along.
Albert smiled. He was happy that his family wasn't
disappointed about the cancellation of The Celeste Convention. They clearly knew it wasn't their fault.
"Hey, I think the trains coming" Pointed out Tee Tee.
The train stops in front of the 8 opening it's doors, making a screeching sound. Everybody gets on. The train proceeds into the tunnel.
Everyone has took a seat. Silently doing there own thing. Philbert playing on his gamepad, Barbara texting someone on her phone... Harry breaks it.
"Hey, does anyone wanna tell stories?"
Everyone locks their eyes at Harry.
"I don't know how much free time we have but why not?" Agreed Albert.
"So, who's going first?"
"Can I?" Said Tee Tee with puppy eyes.
"If we're going youngest to oldest, than yes."
Tee Tee cheered. She loves being first in situation, especially in moments like these.
"Okay okay. Ahem... This year I wanted a mermaid castle set for my birthday. I told my mom about it and she agreed. She tol- She told me she couldn't get one at the store..... But she told me she could order one online. Mom did. But the package took a while to come, passing my birthday. So mom called the company I think anthey said an accident happened. I cried. The end."
"Oh, that's sad to hear." Said Barbara.
"My turn." Starla says confidently before clearing her throat.
"My mom took me to get my permit. I was a little nervous on my way there, since I didn't consistently take my driving test beforehand. The people there tested my vision before I took the test on their computer. You wanna know the scary part? If I got a score lower than 20, I wouldn't get my permit. I was consistently getting things right until someone screamed outside in the hallway. There was a rat infestation, and we had to leave."
"Yeah, It was bad." Said Tee Tee.
"Next up is me." Said Harry.
"Wait, aren't you and Phil the same age?" Pointed out Barbara.
"I'm a couple months younger than him."
Barbara didn't bother to reply. She figured it was the best if she didn't say anything at all.
"Me and my Dad were at a clothing store to get eachother clothes. When we were picking out clothes, there was a shirt I wanted that was high on top. Like, REALLY high. Near the ceiling. So I tell my Dad 'I want those space pajama pants'. When I told him they were close to the ceiling he told the cashier to grab the ladder. The cashier pointed out how his sentence made it imply that Dad was going to grab it for me."
"And then we argued who's gonna get those pants" Finished Albert.
Harry stared at his father. He wouldn't have expected him to finish the rest of their story in a heartbeat.
"Well, here I go." Said Philbert.
"While me and my mom were on our to visit Grandma, I was looking for what album to listen to. I opened one and found folded up paper, and read it. It was a letter for my dad. We still have the CD's from my paternal grandparents' household even after my parents divorced, so it must have been in here for a long time. I told my mom about it and she could do was scoff."
"Woman's still bitter about the divorce, ain't she?" Said Harry.
Philbert looked at Harry with a mix of emotions, thinking about the past. He understood why she would want to divorce him, after being hurt so many times. But he also felt bad seeing as he looked so depressed after their divorce was final. It's difficult how he truly feels about that situation. But who cares, it's all in the past now.
"Hey is it just me, or has this ride been going on for a long time?" Pointed out Albert.
"Fair point. Even if our stories did help pass-"
Before Harry could finish his sentence the train starts to shake. Lights blickering, tires screeching, everyone panicking.
"What's going on!?" Said Jessica.
"I'm scared!!" Said Tee Tee.
"Hold on to something!!!!"
Everybody gets close to one another. They start to scream. Suddenly, everything turns white.
