Work Text:
It has been two years since the summer camp incident, and when Pac officially met Fit. They may have seen each other when younger but that was a long time ago. Both don’t really remember the other, so they agreed that they met each other that scary night. Pac specifically noted that it didn’t count till now because Fit’s old self is dead. Fit found it a bit funny even if others were slightly concerned by it without context.
The two of them were celebrating their relationship with a wonderful date at a very nice burger joint. Fit was a bit uncomfortable at fancy restaurants, and always felt out of place. Lucky for him Pac found American diners so neat and interesting. Especially if the restaurant had a jukebox then the man was a kid in the candy store.
They were sitting at a table booth, it was more comfortable than chairs. While Pac never exactly requested it he was happy Fit truly cared for his comfort. It was those little gestures that meant the world. He knew that Fit also was missing a limb, but still was so refreshing.
Fit was tearing into his burger with everything on it. The standard cost as much as the plain variant, so why not get his money’s work. After being stuck on cafeteria food then to army rations yeah Fit was not picky with food. Though as the hypocrite he was as always he spent extra money to upgrade his fires into onion rings.
In contrast Pac had ordered a chicken patty burger only keeping the lettuce and tomato on top. He forwent the typical fries for the superior tater tots. A cup of ranch rested on the side of his tray allowing him to dip his food and control the amount of sauce.
Both of them oddly enough both got the same drink. A large unsweetened iced tea filled over half way with ice. Pac glanced at the cups chuckling at the coincidence for the eighth time now. Like every time beforehand, Fit glanced at his boyfriend with a small chuckle.
“Love the kids, don't get me wrong Ramon is my world, but it's nice to have a small break sometimes.” Fit commented as he took another bite of his glorious burger. He grabbed his cup washing down his meal with a large gulp of unsweetened tea.
“It's your fault for always pushing yourself and not accepting help Fitchi. Maybe if you were less stubborn you would be less burned out.” Pac teased his American boyfriend with a smile. He leaned in gently kissing the bald man’s nose. The Brazilian happily watched his boyfriend blush at the display of affection.
“Come on, you find it hot.” Fit teased back still as red as a tomato. He was doing his best to counter back with his own tease. Even though it was blindingly obvious he did not want Pac to catch on how his knees were about to buckle. Unfortunately Pac could see right through the man’s facade.
“Oh yes I truly do.” Pac smiled back at him, dramatically fluttering his eyelashes. He leaned once again but this time he did not plant a little kiss. This time Fit’s sweet mouse was a theif stealing away an onion ring before happily munching away.
“You little,” Fit chuckled before reaching into his pocket pulling out a house key, “I really like you Pac. I know I am lucky to have you. I don’t think I am ready to ask the big question. However I do want to take a step, will you move in with me?” He put himself out there even though they were in public he was vulnerable putting himself out there.
Pac’s goofy lovely smile started to falter with a shake before shifting into a weak frown. His eyes started to tear up, seeping with intense overwhelming guilt. Those big deep eyes quickly shifted around everywhere except meeting Fit’s eyes.
There was something wrong, but Fit couldn’t be sure. Were they not on the same page? Was things going too fast? Did he want a proposal first? The man could only nervously watch and wait for his boyfriend's response.
“...I can’t accept this…I’m sorry…” Pac muttered a quiet apology. It was full of sorrow tears welling up in his eyes. He kept fidgeting in his seat, unable to keep still. The anxiety was radiating off of the Brazilian.
“Look it's okay we can stay how we are now, look I can just get rid of the key. Things are gonna be okay, they are gonna be fine.” Fit spoke almost too fast. He could fix this, the man had to fix this, he could not lose his dearest love.
“No it's not fair to you. I have to be honest it's all too much because Fitchi I am pregnant.” The ravenet sobbed, scared of the truth he had to state. It was only fair to reveal the information, it was only fair to Fit. Even if everything could fall apart this had to happen.
“Hey look at me Pac, I love our kids. I can take in another one so we can raise our baby together. You and me versus the world. It will all be okay my sweet mouse.” Fit held Pac’s cheek doing his best to comfort him. He was stealing away his own fears knowing Pac needed him. However Pac silently moved back from the touch.
“The thing is that the child isn’t ours, it's mine and Felps!” Pac yelped finally admitting his affair with the saint. As his words seeped into Fit’s ears as he felt every piece of betrayal a sound was heard. The sound of the bell chime with the diners door swung open.
“That is right, your sweet boyfriend left you for me! We had a steamy night and I blessed him with my kin growing inside of him!” Felps announced as he arrived at the table. He laughed looking down at Fit as the homewrecker's arm wrapped around Pac’s body. Pac only quietly leaned into the touch.
“No, no this is impossible! How could you do this! Is our love nothing! Why would you do this!? Why are you accepting his touch but rejecting mine!?” Fit demanded answers. What crime did he do? All he did was love Pac, was he so stubborn an affair was destined to happen. How could these two do this? It could hurt Ramon and Richas.
“I'm sorry but why do I love you, Felps has long flowing hair. We both know that’s something you can never have. This is goodbye Fitchi.” Pac weakly spoke. He got up staying in Felps arm as the pair left the diner together. Felps gave a soft kiss against Pac’s lips before looking back at Fit to almost mock him. The pair then disappeared into the night.
“No! No! No!” Fit weep as he fell onto the table heartbroken. He was alone abandoned by the man he loved, but even worse than that he was stuck with the bill.
