Susie stands in front of the open fridge, her slender fingers gripping the handle as she peers inside. The cool air washes over her, making her shiver slightly. "Brr, it's chilly in here," she remarks, her breath forming little clouds in the cold.
Angelica, rarely one to lend a hand, steps closer, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Need some help, Susie-Q?" she purrs, using her favorite nickname for the older girl.
Susie nods, her dark pigtails bobbing. Together, they begin to tidy up, pulling out containers and wiping down shelves. Angelica's warm body presses against Susie's side, her nearness a welcome contrast to the fridge's chill. Susie leans into her, enjoying the contact.
"Thanks, Ange," Susie murmurs, reaching up to adjust her braids.
Angelica grins, her dimples flashing as she whispers, "Anytime, Susie-pie. We're partners in crime, right?"
Their shoulders bump playfully as they continue to lean into each other, and Susie laughs, the sound filling the kitchen with a warmth that rivals the fridge's chill.
