Work Text:

Their paths first crossed at an international winter sports event—one of the biggest of the season. Ennoshita, the rising star of figure skating, was preparing for his short program when he first spotted Terushima and Daishou. The two were rivals on the ice, each representing different teams, yet both were known for their sharp performances and show-stopping routines. Konoha, on the other hand, had just finished his final ski run and was watching from the stands, relaxing after his competition.

The four of them had heard of each other in passing—headlines, sports interviews, highlight reels—but had never truly met. That changed when Terushima, being his usual bold self, strode up to Ennoshita at the edge of the rink.

"Hey, you’re that figure skater everyone’s talking about, huh?" Terushima grinned. "Damn, your spins are crazy. Ever thought about trying ice dancing?"

Ennoshita gave him a skeptical look but smirked nonetheless. "Not really. Too much trust involved," he replied, eyeing Daishou, who had been listening nearby.

Daishou let out a low chuckle, adjusting his jacket. "Good call. Ice dancers are nuts. Not that we’re much better."

Konoha finally joined in, stretching from his seat in the stands. "Yeah, because throwing yourself in the air with blades strapped to your feet is normal."

That was the first time they met, and it wasn’t the last. Competitive schedules, overlapping events, and the sheer intensity of the winter sports world kept bringing them together—whether they wanted it or not.

The second time they crossed paths was at the athletes' lounge after the day's events. Ennoshita was going through his post-skate cooldown, carefully stretching out his legs to prevent stiffness. Konoha, still riding the high from his skiing event, was relaxed on one of the couches, scrolling through his phone. Meanwhile, Terushima and Daishou were in the middle of a heated debate about technique—something about jumps, edgework, and whose performance had more flair.

"You’re all about the drama, Teru," Daishou snorted, arms crossed. "Spins and theatrics don’t make up for a weak landing."

Terushima scoffed. "Yeah? And being all stiff and technical doesn’t make you better than me, Daishou. People want excitement!"

Ennoshita, listening in, finally cut in with a raised brow. "Both of you should just focus on sticking your jumps instead of talking about them."

Konoha chuckled from the couch. "I like this guy. He’s got a point."

Their interactions kept overlapping. Press conferences, warm-up sessions, even accidental run-ins in the dining hall. Each time, the tension between Daishou and Terushima was electric, but not in a way that meant hostility—it was competition, rivalry, and an undeniable push-and-pull energy.

Ennoshita? He found himself oddly intrigued by both of them. Their approaches to skating were wildly different, and yet, watching them compete was like watching two opposing forces try to outshine each other. Konoha, meanwhile, had a front-row seat to all of it, amused and occasionally poking fun at how dramatic they could all be.

But things took a turn when the media began noticing. Interviews started including more questions about their interactions. Articles started comparing their styles, highlighting their rivalries and friendships. Then came the speculation:

"Are they rivals, or is there something more?"
"Terushima and Daishou’s rivalry—figure skating’s next great showdown?"
"Ennoshita’s poised elegance vs. their chaotic energy: a new balance on the ice?"

It wasn’t just fans who noticed—the skating world had its eyes on them. And whether they liked it or not, their names were now constantly linked together.

The media attention didn’t stop at articles and press conferences. Social media was buzzing, with fans dissecting every glance, every interaction, and every post they made.

There were edits of Terushima and Daishou’s most intense moments on the ice, cut together like a drama. Fans took slow-motion clips of Ennoshita’s elegant routines, pairing them with captions about him being the ‘calm in the storm’ between the two skaters. And Konoha? People loved the way he seemed completely unbothered by all the chaos.

"Konoha is the only one with a functional brain cell here."
"Ennoshita watching his boyfriends fight while looking elegant as ever."
"Daishou and Terushima are rivals, but they also totally have chemistry. You can’t convince me otherwise."

And then came the shipping.

At first, it was subtle—people commenting on how well they balanced each other out. Then came the fan edits, the fanfiction, and the exaggerated ‘love triangle’ theories. Some insisted that Terushima and Daishou’s rivalry was just unresolved romantic tension. Others said Ennoshita was the one secretly keeping them all together. And Konoha? His laid-back attitude only made people believe he was the mastermind behind everything.

The first time they saw one of the edits in person, they were all in a hotel room between events, scrolling through their phones.

Terushima laughed, shoving his phone in Daishou’s face. "Bro, have you seen this? They think we’re in love."

Daishou looked at the post, an edit cutting between their competitions, dramatic music playing in the background. "What the hell—why did they slow down my smirk like that?!"

"Because it’s dramatic," Konoha said, amused. "And people eat this stuff up."

Ennoshita sighed, rubbing his temple. "They’re getting too invested."

Konoha smirked. "You say that, but look at this—" He held up his phone, where a new fan post had a side-by-side of him and Ennoshita labeled: ‘The Normal Ones Keeping Their Chaotic Boyfriends Alive.’

Terushima and Daishou turned to them immediately.

"EXCUSE ME?!"

It was all fun and games—until it wasn’t. Because the next competition was coming up, and whether they liked it or not, the world wasn’t just watching their performances.

They were watching them .

The weight of public attention settled on them like a thick layer of frost.

The next competition was one of the biggest of the season—a deciding factor in world rankings. Yet, instead of just focusing on their routines, they had to deal with the outside noise. Cameras caught every interaction. The press speculated on whether their ‘rivalry’ would make or break their performances. And social media? It was a battlefield.

"Terushima and Daishou are using their rivalry as a way to flirt."
"Ennoshita is so effortlessly elegant. He’s the glue holding everything together."
"Konoha just skis and minds his business, but the internet insists he’s running a love quadrangle."

The worst part? Some fans took things too far. A group of overzealous shippers managed to sneak into the practice rink, hoping to catch them interacting. Security had to escort them out.

After that, they made a silent agreement to ignore the online buzz and focus on their performances.

The Competition Night

The stadium was packed, the air buzzing with anticipation.

Ennoshita skated first, delivering a performance so fluid and precise that the audience fell into a hushed awe. Every movement was deliberate, every landing perfect. When he finished, the arena erupted into applause.

Then came Daishou and Terushima, competing in separate programs but still somehow drawing comparisons with every jump and spin. They both had something to prove—not just to the judges but to themselves.

Terushima skated with his usual explosive energy, his routine sharp and full of personality. Meanwhile, Daishou countered with a performance that was intense, brooding, and technically flawless.

By the time Konoha took the stage in his skiing event, he already knew the headlines would be chaos. Still, he wasn’t worried—he let his skill speak for itself, tearing through the course with smooth precision.

The Aftermath

The competition results? A mix of triumph and frustration.

Ennoshita placed higher than expected, securing a spot among the top skaters. Terushima and Daishou were neck and neck, proving that their rivalry wasn’t just for show. And Konoha? He remained untouchable in his category.

But the real storm hit after the competition.

The moment they checked their phones, they were met with an explosion of new posts.

"They didn’t even LOOK at each other after their routines. Something happened."
"Konoha watching his boyfriends fight for the podium is peak entertainment."
"Ennoshita’s performance was breathtaking. No drama, just pure artistry."

The biggest shock? Someone had caught an off-the-record moment—a clip of all four of them backstage, casually talking and laughing together.

The caption? "So, uh… are they actually dating?"

And just like that, the internet lost its mind.

The Internet Meltdown

The video spread like wildfire. It wasn’t staged; it wasn’t for the cameras—just a natural moment of them laughing, Ennoshita wiping sweat off his forehead while Terushima nudged Daishou, and Konoha making some sarcastic remark that had them all smirking.

"We’ve been fighting over rival ships, and they’re out here being domestic???"
"Forget ‘rivals to lovers’—they’re already together, aren’t they??"
"Konoha is third-wheeling three different ships at once."

The media jumped on it. Interviewers began slipping in subtle (and not-so-subtle) questions, trying to fish for any confirmation.

Press Conference Chaos

Their schedules were packed with post-competition interviews. The usual questions came first—thoughts on their performance, expectations for the next season, training routines.

Then, the real chaos began.

A reporter from a major sports network leaned forward, microphone in hand. "There’s been a lot of speculation about your relationships. The four of you seem very… close. Care to comment?"

Ennoshita didn’t even blink. "We’ve known each other for a while now. We respect each other’s skills and push each other to be better."

Smooth. Professional. No room for gossip.

Terushima, on the other hand, grinned. "Yeah, we’re pretty close. Maybe closer than people think."

Daishou shot him a look, somewhere between amusement and exasperation, while Konoha just smirked, sipping from his water bottle like he wasn’t about to encourage the chaos.

Behind the Scenes

"You just had to say that, huh?" Ennoshita sighed once they were backstage.

Terushima stretched, completely unbothered. "What? It’s not like I confirmed anything."

Konoha raised an eyebrow. "You did."

Daishou leaned against the wall, scrolling through his phone. "Congrats, by the way. We just made it to number one trending worldwide."

They all groaned.

Escalating Theories & The Engagement Bomb

By the next morning, social media was in a frenzy. Fans had dissected every moment of their interactions, from rinkside glances to travel schedules that seemed suspiciously aligned.

Then came the wildest theory yet:

"What if they’re not just dating? What if they’re engaged???"

Someone had zoomed in on a blurry image of Ennoshita’s hand—was that a ring? Another had dug up a clip of Terushima and Konoha joking about "Future plans" in an old interview. And, of course, Daishou’s vague but incredibly misleading past social media posts were suddenly being analyzed for hidden meanings.

The fandom was spiraling.

The four of them? Watching in horror and mild amusement.

"What do we even do at this point?" Ennoshita asked, rubbing his temples.

Konoha shrugged. "Let them think whatever they want. It’s free entertainment."

Daishou smirked. "Or we could get engaged just to mess with them."

Silence.

Terushima’s eyes lit up. "Wait—"

"NO."

But the idea was planted. And maybe… just maybe… they didn’t mind it as much as they thought.

When Jokes Become Reality

What started as a joke didn’t stay a joke for long.

Because now, the four of them couldn’t stop thinking about it.

The thought lingered—casual at first, something they could all brush off with laughter. But then, it came up in quiet moments. When Terushima and Konoha were waiting for a flight. When Ennoshita was studying late at night, Daishou was beside him, scrolling through news articles about their latest competition. When they sat together after training, their bodies ached, but their hearts were light.

And then Terushima said it. Seriously.

“Hey… what if we did?”

Ennoshita, who had been flipping through his notes, froze. Konoha and Daishou, lying on the couch beside him, both turned to stare.

Terushima shifted in his seat, unusually hesitant. “Not right away. But—” He shrugged, a little softer now. “It’s not like we aren’t already in this for the long run.”

A beat of silence.

Daishou was the first to speak. “...You’re serious?”

Terushima nodded.

And that’s when Konoha grinned. “Well, damn. Took you long enough to say it.”

The Private Proposal

They didn’t want it to be a public spectacle. No flashing cameras, no stadium-sized declarations. Just them.

So it happened quietly, on a night when the world felt small and safe.

They were in their shared apartment—warm lights, half-empty takeout containers on the table. Ennoshita had just finished ranting about his latest med school assignment when he turned to find the other three watching him with an intensity that made him pause.

Terushima was fidgeting. Daishou looked way too calm. Konoha had that smirk he wore whenever he was up to something.

“…What?” Ennoshita asked, suddenly suspicious.

Terushima exhaled, then reached into his pocket. “Okay, so don’t freak out.”

Ennoshita’s heart skipped a beat when he saw the small box.

Konoha leaned in, resting his chin on Ennoshita’s shoulder. “You’re the last one we need to say yes.”

Daishou, still infuriatingly composed, smirked. “And you’re not allowed to say no.”

Ennoshita stared at them. “Wait—wait, you three already planned this??

Terushima grinned. “We figured if we were gonna do it, we might as well do it together.”

“And we’re doing it with you,” Konoha added.

There was no rush, no pressure—just the quiet certainty in their eyes.

Ennoshita had never been a man of impulse. But this? This was easy.

So he exhaled, feeling something inside him settle, and smiled.

“…Yeah. Okay.”

The Public Meltdown

They tried to keep it under wraps.

They did.

But when all four of them started wearing matching rings? Yeah, that wasn’t something the internet was gonna ignore.

Fans pieced it together instantly. The theories, the edits, the absolute chaos.

"WAIT. ARE THEY—???"
"IS THIS REAL OR AM I LOSING IT???"
"NO ONE TALK TO ME I AM HAVING A BREAKDOWN."

They all knew it was only a matter of time before someone asked them directly.

And, of course, it happened at a press conference.

A reporter leaned forward, eyes practically gleaming. “There have been a lot of rumors circulating, but I have to ask—are the four of you engaged?”

Terushima, Konoha, and Daishou all turned to Ennoshita.

And for once, he was the one who smirked.

“I guess you’ll just have to keep guessing.”

A Winter Wedding to Remember

The world had been watching their love story unfold—through competitions, late-night interviews, and stolen moments caught on camera. But now, on this day, the world didn’t matter.

Because today was just for them.

The Venue

A private lodge nestled in the snowy mountains, surrounded by towering pines dusted in white. It was a place that felt like home—a perfect blend of their lives, where winter sports and quiet intimacy met.

The ceremony itself took place on a frozen lake, the ice beneath them shimmering in the late afternoon sun. Rows of chairs lined the edge, filled with close friends, family, and the occasional curious rival. The air was crisp, but no one cared.

This wasn’t just any wedding.

This was theirs.

The Ceremony

Ennoshita stood in his tailored suit, hands steady despite the cold. He had never been one for the spotlight, but right now, he didn’t mind. Not when he looked up and saw them.

Terushima, grinning like he’d won the biggest competition of his life, dressed in a deep navy suit that shimmered under the light. Konoha, standing beside him in an effortlessly elegant ensemble, his usual playful smirk soft with something deeper. Daishou, in a sleek black suit, looked far too composed—except for the way his fingers tapped against his side, betraying his excitement.

The officiant—who, for some reason, ended up being Bokuto, because of course it was—cleared his throat dramatically.

“Alright, alright, let’s make this official before you guys freeze out here.”

Laughter rippled through the crowd.

Then, vows were exchanged—simple but theirs.

“I’ll always have your back, no matter what” (Terushima)
“You’re stuck with me forever, you know that, right?” (Konoha)
“You make life interesting. I think I like that” (Daishou)
“…You guys better not make me regret this.” (Ennoshita, but the fondness in his voice ruined any attempt at sarcasm.)

Then rings—cold metal against warm skin.

Then, a pause.

Then—

“You may now kiss—”

Terushima didn’t even wait for Bokuto to finish before grabbing Ennoshita and pulling him into a kiss. Konoha and Daishou weren’t far behind, laughter and warmth melting into something deeper, something real.

The crowd cheered. Bokuto fist-pumped the air. Kenma, from his spot in the front row, muttered, “Finally.”

The Reception

The after-party was chaos. In the best way.

The lodge was alive with music, laughter, and the occasional impromptu ice-skating challenge. There was a cake—three tiers, adorned with tiny figurines of all four of them. There was dancing—Terushima spinning Ennoshita across the floor, Konoha dragging Daishou into the mix despite his protests.

And there were speeches. Too many of them.

“I knew this was gonna happen,” Bokuto declared, holding up his drink. “I CALLED IT.”

“I did not call this,” Kenma admitted. “But good for you guys.”

Oikawa, as dramatic as ever, wiped away a fake tear. “My rivals are all growing up. So bittersweet.”

At some point, the four of them snuck away from the noise, stepping outside into the quiet night. Snow fell softly around them, the world peaceful, just for a moment.

Ennoshita exhaled, his breath curling in the cold air. “We really did it, huh?”

Konoha smirked. “Of course we did.”

Daishou nudged him. “Regretting it already?”

Ennoshita shook his head, smiling. “Not even close.”

Terushima grabbed their hands, squeezing them tightly. “Alright, but seriously. Who do you think cried the most? My money’s on Akaashi.”

They laughed.

The wedding was over.

But their life together was just beginning.
