Chapter Text
I didn't edit it but I did read through I didn't see anything wrong... but I'm not wearing my glasses so good luck 👍🏽 😰
POV's may vary
Graduation. Finally. No more high school, no more pointless assignments, no more weird bathroom pass rules. You were free.
Your parents took you out to eat to celebrate, treating you to the fanciest meal they could afford. It was nice, but by the time you got home around ten, all you wanted to do was shower, throw on some pajamas, and scroll on TikTok until your brain shut off. Which is exactly what you did.
At first, everything was normal—some funny edits, some unhinged memes, and a suspicious amount of Attack on Titan thirst traps (your For You Page was calling you out, and honestly? Fair). But then, out of nowhere, a weird notification popped up.
"Become the main character form.
You tried to swipe it away. It popped back up.
You closed the app. Reopened it. It was still there.
You restarted your phone. Boom. Back again.
At this point, you were beyond annoyed, so with a dramatic sigh, you tapped the link just to make it go away.
The first question appeared.
Would you like to be the main character?
Easy. No.
The form refreshed. The question popped up again.
Would you like to be the main character?
You squinted at your screen. "Uh. No?" You pressed the button again.
The screen went blank for a second before the form restarted.
Oh. It was like that.
Rolling your eyes, you selected yes this time, because clearly, this thing was not going to let you go back to watching TikTok's otherwise.
The next question appeared.
Choose your alternative universe.
Alright, now this was interesting. You scrolled through the options, humming to yourself.
Original timeline?
You tapped on it to see more details, and the second you read Titans, war, extreme trauma, you scrolled right back up.
"Hell naw, I'm good."
No way in hell you were about to throw yourself into that mess.
Modern?
Too vague. Pass.
College?
Now we're talking. A college AU sounded way better than getting eaten by Titans. You tapped on it without hesitation.
Choose your male leads. Select all that apply.
Your eyes widened. Oh. Oh, this was serious.
You selected every single character you wanted (because why choose one when you could have them all?), hit submit, and just like that, the form disappeared.
Weird. But whatever.
You went back to scrolling TikTok until 2 a.m., then switched to AO3 and read fics until your brain stopped working. Eventually, sleep took over.

You woke up to the sound of your mom yelling.
"GET UP! You're gonna be late!"
You groaned, burying your face into your pillow. "Ugh, Mom, I graduated high school."
She laughed. "Girl, you still got eleven grades to go."
Your brain short-circuited.
Eleven? ELEVEN??
Your eyes snapped open, and you sat up so fast you nearly fell out of bed. Everything looked... off. Your room was smaller. Your old posters were back on the walls. The stuffed animals you swore you put away years ago were on your bed.
Panic rising, you scrambled out of bed and ran to the mirror.
Your reflection stared back at you. But it wasn't your reflection.
It was you. But younger.
You clutched the edges of the dresser, heart pounding. "You have got to be f—"
"LANGUAGE!" your mom yelled from the hallway.
You slammed the door shut... quietly so you don't get yelled at and stared at yourself in horror.
What the actual hell was happening?
You grabbed your phone, fingers shaking, and checked the date. The year? Way too damn early. You should be in college right now, not back in grade school.
Your brain started running a mile a minute. Was this a dream? Some kind of sick joke? A glitch in the matrix?
No. No, this was real.
This was happening.
Your stomach sank.
"Oh my god," you whispered. "I got sent back in time."
And worst of all?
You had to go through school again.
__
While these thoughts raced through your head. You stood frozen in front of your mirror, staring at your baby-faced reflection like it personally betrayed you. This had to be a joke. A prank. Maybe you were still dreaming?
You pinched your arm. Nothing.
Slapped yourself. "Ouch."
Okay, so this was real.
"Y/N! If you miss the bus, I'm not driving you!" your mom called from downstairs.
You flinched. Right. School. Because apparently, you had eleven more years of suffering to go through.
Your body moved on autopilot as you threw on whatever outfit made you look the least like a confused time traveler,(you were crying inside looking at your closet selection...you could clearly see Barbie, Disney princesses, and monster high were back in style) grabbed your backpack, and trudged downstairs.
The second your mom saw you, she gave you a look. "Why do you look like you just saw a ghost?"
"Because I did," you muttered. "It was my future. And it was beautiful. And now it's gone. Poof! Just like that..."
She sighed and shook her head. "Just go get in the car."
You blinked. "What happened to taking the bus?"
"You missed it."
Of course, you did.
_____________
Sitting in class felt wrong.
It felt wrong on so many levels.
Sitting around snotty nosed first graders was not it. You could cry right now.
You already went through this. You suffered through the tests, the group projects, the unnecessary drama. You graduated. You should be in a dorm somewhere, struggling to cook a decent but cheap meal, not back in a classroom learning about 2x2 and the mitochondria again.
Your teacher droned on about something you couldn't care less about, and you rested your chin on your palm, deep in thought.
Okay. Let's think about this logically.
1. I filled out that creepy main character form last night.
2. I picked a college AU, not this.
3. I woke up as my younger self. Oh the choppedness I have to go through again 💔
4. Everything was way too normal for an AOT universe.
And 5. Where the fuck is my men at💔 why haven't I seen a single soul that even remotely looks like they could be from attack on Titan?
You frowned. Maybe it was a glitch? Like, the form tried to send you into an alternate universe but failed and just respawned you into your own timeline instead?
Honestly, that sounded about right. Even in an isekai, your luck was garbage.
"Y/N, are you paying attention?"
You snapped out of your thoughts. The entire class was staring at you.
"Yes."
"What did I just say?"
You panicked. "Uh... mitochondria?"
The teacher narrowed their eyes, "no... 2x8." "Oh uh 16." Again the teacher looked at you suspiciously but moved on. You exhaled.
This was going to be a long day.
_____
By lunchtime, you were over it.
The schoolwork? Too easy. You already knew all of this, and it was boring.
The gossip? You already knew who was going to 'date' who (like they would count it in high school🙄), who was going to fight, who was going to be the messy kids. No surprises.
The food? Still garbage. No alternate universe could fix that.
You poked at your lunch with a plastic fork, contemplating your life choices. "So I'm stuck reliving my childhood. Great. Just love that for me."
At this rate, you were going to lose your mind.
Then, something weird happened.
Your phone buzzed.
You pulled it out and nearly dropped it. But luckily you didn't, it was the newest one from your actual time. You would NOT be getting a stinky phone with low quality after having one of its high caliber.
"If I have this then that means I might be able to get out!" You cheered full of hope.
_________
It wasn't just a one-day thing.
It wasn't some weird dream you could wake up from or a glitch that would fix itself. No. You were stuck here.
Reliving. Every. Single. Year.
At first, you tried to fight it.
You were too advanced for this childish nonsense. When your teacher gave out a math worksheet, you finished it in five minutes and stared at the clock for the rest of class. When the school had an assembly on "How to Say No to Drugs," you mentally fast-forwarded because you already knew how this ended.
It was agony.
You had to watch your past self's cringey middle school phase in real-time. The bad outfits? The awkwardness? The way you used to think saying "skibidi" was peak humor?
Suffering. Absolute suffering.
But eventually, you had to accept it.
You were here. There was no way out. So you might as well make the most of it.
And that you did✨✨
If you had to live this hell again, you were speedrunning it.
First, you made sure you weren't gonna be crusty this time around. You already knew what skincare products worked. You already knew what hairstyles suited you. You already knew how to dress better. Your glow-up started early.
Second, you stopped wasting time on people who didn't deserve it. That toxic friendship that used to stress you out? Gone. That one embarrassing crush that made you want to curl up and die? To young and definitely dodged. You made smart decisions this time.
Third, grades. You weren't about to struggle like you did before. You aced your assignments, signed up for clubs you previously ignored, and collected cords like they were Infinity Stones.
By the time high school graduation rolled around again, you were a completely different person.
—
You stood on stage, wearing your cap and gown, absolutely decked out in cords and medals. When your name was called, people actually clapped this time. Some even cheered.
You walked across the stage with the confidence of someone who had already been through this once before and knew exactly what they were doing.
When you got home, your parents took you out to eat again, and this time, you enjoyed it even more. You weren't just celebrating freedom from school.
You were celebrating the fact that you beat whatever mess you were in.
—
Later that night, after showering, you flopped onto your bed, grabbed your phone, and opened TikTok.
The memes were just as unhinged as ever. The fan edits were top-tier. Life was good.
Then, out of nowhere, a familiar notification popped up.
"Become the main character form.
Your stomach dropped.
Not this again.
You tried to swipe it away. It popped back up.
You closed the app. Opened it again. It was still there.
You groaned, throwing your head back. "Oh, hell no."
But the notification wouldn't leave. It was persistent, like a fly you couldn't swat.
Frustrated, you turn over and grab your computer. Might as well read if you can't get on TikTok.
No way in hell were you going through that again.
At some point, exhaustion won, and you passed out.
And when you woke up...
Summer was gone.
—
You sat up so fast your neck cracked.
The bright summer morning you should have been waking up to? Gone. Instead, your room was filled with the slightly cooler air of late August. You scrambled for your phone, checking the weather but your eyes land on the date.
August. A WEEK before college.
You blinked.
You blinked again.
Then you screamed.
"WHAT THE HELL?!?!"
Your mom banged on your door. "Language!"
You threw yourself back onto your bed, dramatically flailing. "MOM, MY SUMMER IS GONE! JUST LIKE THAT! WHAT KIND OF—WHAT KIND OF TIME JUMP—WHAT KIND OF BLACK MAGIC NONSENSE—"
Your phone dinged. You stopped mid-rant and grabbed it.
[SYSTEM NOTICE]
Due to the malfunction, we grant you compensation for your troubles.
The real story begins at Paradis State University.
You froze.
Paradis State? That's not what you picked. You had chosen your dream school, some normal college in the city.
But as you reread the message, it hit you.
This was the AU now.
They really wiped your summer just to fix the plotline.
Before you could even process that, another message popped up—this time from your bank.
You opened the notification.
And nearly fainted.
A stupid amount of money had been deposited into your account. Like, "I could go on vacation for a whole year" kind of money.
You sat there in stunned silence for a good ten seconds before your brain restarted.
Then you did what any rational person would do.
You went on a shopping spree✨✨
—
If they were gonna throw you into some alternate university timeline, you were gonna look good while living it.
You ordered everything— outfits for classes, outfits for parties, and even some ridiculously expensive skincare products you were dying to try but were to expensive at the time, just because you could.
By the time the last day of summer rolled around, you had not only packed up for school, but you also had a brand new car (shoutout to your "compensation" and some extra graduation money your parents had saved for you).
As you hugged your friends goodbye—who still had a few weeks before their schools started—you couldn't help but feel so much better about this whole situation.
Maybe losing summer wasn't so bad.
Maybe Paradis State University wasn't gonna be so bad.
I mean the frag boys: jean, eren, Reiner!
Nerdy Armin!!
Tattoo artist and weed smoker CONNIE
It was gonna be reall good ✨
With your car packed, your playlist ready, and your bank account still very happy, you hit the road.
The real story was about to begin.
(SORRY IF YOU GOT THE <p> I be writing on Wattpad)
