Scraps pov 🧶
“Ugh…”
Ever since I aggred to be poppy’s “partner” I’ve been feeling dreadful , I mean… I only did agree since everyone was watching (especially vee), plus she is a good friend to me but I don’t really see her in that way…
Sigh…
“I have to tell her the truth…”
She wouldn’t be mad at me right? I was kinda pressured to agree! but… we have been only dating for a couple of weeks, it would crush her if I ended this sooner than expected. I really have tangled myself worse than the yarn in my room, speaking of which I should probably clean up since Tisha keeps pestering me to do so…
I forced myself to get out of bed.it’s only been the afternoon , nothing much happened today. Goob has been busy with stealing pastries from sprouts and cosmos kitchen, so I got the room to myself. I picked up pieces of yarn from the floor until I heard a knock on the door
knock knock
“Scraps are you in here?”
Oh it was Poppy
“Yea I’m here give me a second!!”
I scurried to pick up the mess up from my room that could be noticeable from the entrance of the door, even if I don’t reciprocate the same feeling as her I have to at least look presentable! Oof… good enough? It’s not quite a mess as it was earlier…. Right? Eh who cares..? I walked to the door to open it, I see poppy standing there with a lovely blue dress, if I do say so myself.
“HAIII Poppy! How are you?”
I try to say nonchalantly as if I hadn’t been thinking of breaking up a couple of seconds ago.
“I’m doing great! just wondering if you wanted to go on a walk with me, I have a surprise that I think you would love!”
Surprise? Wonder what it could be?
I tilt my head a bit as a dog would when hearing a strange sound. Immediately I corrected my posture and put my head back to normal, I spoke up with a cheerful tone.
“I would love to! Could you maybe give me some time to get ready, I see that you already came prepared. That blue dress really suits you!”
I can’t help but give a compliment since I don’t want to seem as awkward much after I tilted my head to my… uhhh.. “gf” i suppose.. going on a walk together sounds nice, hope I get to see Vee on the way…….

What am I even saying?!
“Awww thank you, you don’t look half bad yourself for someone who isn’t ready~
See me at the tree at lobby in 30 mins, don’t be late!”
She teased before she walked away snapping me out of my thought. no clue how I’m supposed to respond to that uhhh well anyways..
I closed the door, ehh the only thing I need to do is change the stickers from my paws. They are a bit worn out and I also have to brush out my whiskers a bit…mmm should I just change the color of my whiskers to match poppy’s dress? I have some dark blue pipe cleaners that I could wear… I mean, I can also wear green….NO I’m not doing that, I’m just gonna stay with the white ones I have for now.
……
After finishing whatever I was doing, I headed to the elevator, so I could get to lobby.
Ding
The elevator opened just for me to see vee standing there, how lucky of me... I get in the elevator feeling a bit nervous, oh gosh she’s amazing..NO WONDER SHES A MAIN!!!
I panic a bit more than I should have. I heard my tail swing, hitting the back of the elevator wall..…or so i thought? It was actually vees tail making that noise? I glanced a bit to see her hitting the elevators wall in frustration… or irritation…!wonder what got her all upset about…?
Ding
The elevator makes a sound again indicating that I’ve arrived at the lobby, I noticed that vee was also getting off the elevator… I felt a bit of sadness seeing her walk away in the opposite direction as me, I already miss her!
Wait why was at lobby again? Oh yea right date thing or something I agreed with poppy
I hurried off to go meet up with poppy. After a bit of walking I found her sitting near a bench, I tap her on her shoulder and she looks up at me
“You came a little bit late buts that alright!”
She said with a chuckle. I noticed she had a gift box, wrapped neatly with a pink ribbon, now I’m curious!
“Sorry about that! I was making new stickers for my paws-“
I said a bit more of an excuse than an apology
“It’s okay i didn’t mind that you where a bit late, now come on! I want to show you the surprise. Don’t think that this little box is your surprise!”
She said while pulling my arms making me follow her wherever she was taking me, we walked down to the train station that has been shutdown for about a year now. Now that I’ve noticed, I haven’t seen the children for about a couple of month’s ever since the little incident…
I snap out of my thoughts as i felt someone tugging at my arm again
“Are you just gonna stare at that broken down train all day? I mean I can’t say staring at a train would count as a date, would it now!
Huh..?
“OH uhh sorry about that was just thinking, just forget about it hahaha..”
I laugh a bit embarrassed how I was staring at a train and I didn’t even notice.. I kept following poppy for a bit until we finally arrived, it was a small field area that was mostly used as a playground, it felt so empty without the kids.
I noticed a little picnic area settled in the grass with a few snacks covered up in a basket, I guess this is the surprise that she was talking about? It looks pretty good for our first date? I sit down on the blanket that was put while poppy did the same.
She started to open the stuff that was covered in the beginning of the basket, revealing some spaghetti and a small vase with a rose.
“Did you like the surprise? OH YEA almost forgot here’s the gift I was holding for you”
She handed me the gift box while she was getting the plates ready. I unwrapped the gift, opening it, revealing another box filled with color pencils!
“Aww you shouldn’t have! You did all of this for me? You truly are a good fri- girlfriend!”
I quickly corrected myself remembering that we are in a relationship now… still sweet of her that she did all of this!
“Yea, you mean a lot to me. I love you, Scraps.”

“I like you too, Poppy”
Wish I could say that I love you. but I just can’t…
