Work Text:
Even before he had ascended to papacy, Copia loved being on tour. Onstage, he had learned to be confident, gotten comfortable in his own skin, and even just performing still gave him a rush as if it were his first big show.
Jokingly, or at least he hoped it would come off that way, he had admitted more than once to his audience that he had to prepare himself physically for the sudden… Excitement. Often, far too often , Copia found himself growing warm even once he had left the burning heat of the stage lights, and even more often he found himself scurrying back to the tour bus with his figurative tail between his legs.
Unfortunately for him, his bandmates had no sense of privacy, and almost as often as it happened, Copia would end up with company for the night.
Tonight’s ritual was no different, beside the fact that being so near to the last leg of the tour, Copia found himself properly exhausted. He could not even bring himself to undress further than shucking off his jacket before he flopped himself onto the couch, paying no mind to the business backstage. His peace was short lived, however, when a soft voice rose above the post-ritual bustling.
“Papa?”
Rain. Copia could tell him from the rest without even needing to look, the soft, almost sheepish nature in his addressing of him made that clear. The man hummed in acknowledgment and raised one of his hands upward, a silent invitation that the ghoul immediately took in the form of nuzzling against Copia’s palm.
Purring, the water ghoul carefully edged himself closer to where his Papa was laying, and then, after a nod from Copia, who had still yet to open his eyes , Rain laid his head onto Copia’s stomach. The man’s hand moved to pet his ghoul, which was met with an appreciative chirp, and the two laid in comfortable silence for a long, long moment.
Bliss, Copia thought, he would forever be thankful for his ghouls.
Rain’s cool hands stung Copia’s heated skin even through his clothes, although he gave no more than an initial wince when they had slid under his shirt. Deft fingers unfastened his suspenders, and the slight release of the tension against his skin earned another sigh from above. A chitter from the ghoul came to silence him, followed by Rain leaning up to kiss the underside of Copia’s jaw.
“You are far too good to me, dolcezzo,” Copia murmured as Rain continued to undress him, feeling himself melt under the attention, and leaned up blindly to peck at the ghoul’s face. Soon enough, Copia’s shirt was fully open, and Rain had moved his hands lower, sliding down Copia’s hips, and then finding themselves at the tie at his groin. The ghoul’s claws fiddled with the laces. “Do you… Do you want me to..?” Copia’s offer was clear as he finally opened his eyes, looking up at the water ghoul hazily as he felt his face flush. Rain shook his head.
Surprised, but definitely not bothered, Copia let Rain continue with whatever he had planned, a soft, breathless sigh falling from his painted lips as the ghoul gently worked open the laces of his pants. Then, seemingly satisfied, Rain kissed Copia again, properly this time , and settled his head back onto his shoulder. The two of them molded into one another, with Rain cooling Copia down and Copia petting him lazily, locked away in their own little corner of the world aside from everyone else.
Copia would need to change soon, and the both of them would need to get back onto the bus, but for now? For now they were just content with this.
