Chapter Text
Anneliese was special. A witch of the Hexenzirkel, a top member in the Adventurer’s Guild, but most importantly, to her, the wife of Crepus Ragnvindr.
It wasn’t an easy feat on Crepus’ part. It took months of pursuing, unrelenting charms, and affection just for Anneliese to say yes to being his boyfriend, marriage not even in the question at this point.
Despite the amount of effort it took Crepus, Anneliese was a great girlfriend and an amazing wife. Attentive, caring, adventurous, the list goes on. Within a year into their relationship, they were engaged.
And within six months, they were married.
“I must be the luckiest man alive, because no one else gets to marry you.” Crepus murmured during their wedding, holding both of Anneliese’s hands whilst his face crinkled with mirth, his voice full of contempt.
Anneliese giggled softly, a smile crinkling her eyes at the edges. “Then I must be the luckiest woman, because someone like me has married such a man like you.” Her voice was soft, compassionate, gentle.
Their foreheads knocked together, looking into each other’s eyes with warmth and joy. “I love you, Crepus.”
“I love you more, Anneliese.”
Where there is love, there is children.
Anneliese attended the Hexenzirkel meeting as she always did, this time bearing news.
“You know of my husband, correct?” Anneliese questioned, sipping slowly at a cup of tea in her hand. The other witches gave their affirmations, some half-occupied with something else of their importance.
“Well, I am pregnant. With his child. Together, we will grow our family.” Anneliese giggled softly, a portion of her silky black hair going to rub her stomach slowly.
Surprised gasps surrounded the elongated table. “A child? My, you two must be over the moon! Preparations, emotions, oh my.” Alice said, enthusiastically fussing over Anneliese.
“I’m always here to provide anything you need. Diapers, clothing, babysitting, etcetera etcetera.” Nicole mused calmly. The soon to be mother sighed, a smile resting on her lips.
The others had about the same reaction, congratulations and offers of help. “Why, I must thank you all. I would feel bad if I were to take advantage of your kindness, for Crepus and I are perfectly capable of providing for our child.” She hummed to herself, then gave an open-mouthed smile.
“I could not be more grateful to you all.”
