Work Text:

It was a nice evening out as the sun set for the moon to take its place. The moon shined above the apartment building as the lihht entered through the living room window. The warm breeze outside entered the room's atmosphere, bringing nice warmth within the little apartment Michael and Sean were in. The two were sitting close on the couch, silently embracing each other's company together. Sean had their eyes closed as their head rested on top of Michael's shoulder as Michael was reading one of his collection of books, completely fixated on it. Sean opened one of their eyes and took a mini peek at what Michael was reading. She then adjusted herself to take a better look at the page he was on. "What'cha reading?" Sean broke the silence. Michael slightly turned their head towards Sean. "Just one of my favorites."

"Mm, still reading that thing? You really have such an interest in it." Sean remarked. Michael nodded while still reading. "It's a great book. I mean, really, why wouldn't i read it?" Sean chuckled. "Sure," she replied. She liked it whenever Michael would talk about his special interests. Though she wasn't too interested in any of the topics Michael liked, she would like to hear him ramble all day only because she found it pretty adorable to her, even if it was time-consuming. She then suddenly began to playfully twirl her finger around his hair a bit. Sean dozed off a little bit, thinking about something in her mind while still playing with their partners hair.

Michael irritatedly glanced over at Sean. "Sean, please stop playing with my hair. You know how I feel about you doing that without my permission." Sean didn't reply for a couple of seconds. Michael quickly noticed the dazed off look in their eyes. "Uh, hello? Sean?"

"Have you ever danced, Mikey?" Sean suddenly asked. Michael put on a puzzled expression, not knowing what to respond to that. "Well, I have. Just not usually. Why?" Sean smirked and put a hand on Michael's shoulder. "Well, I just had a tiny thought. Maybe we could have a little relaxing fun by dancing the night away," Sean suggested.

Michael still looked puzzled. "Why...would we do that?" Sean shrugged. "I dunno, it could be nice. Plus, I wanna see if you're good at it or not." She then leaned in closer to his face again, her cheek pressed up against his. "Unless you're too shy...~?" they cooed with a slight tease. Michael immediately shoved them off gently, creating space for the both of them as Sean laughed to themselves. "Who said I was shy?" Michael defensively spoke. "I'm not shy to dance!"

"Well, your body language says otherwise," remarked Sean. Michael sighed and stood up from the couch. "God, you make me crazy. And not in a good way." Sean chuckled."When do I not?" They then stood up with Michael and walked over to the little radio on the other side of the room. She turned it on and tuned it a bit. Michael walked to where she was and looked over Sean. "What're you doing?" Sean turned around as soon as she picked a good song to start with. She politely reached out to Michael's hand, gifting him a warm smile. "Care to dance, m'lady?" She playfully joked.

Michael rolled his eyes and wanted to tell Sean to shut up. But he never really had the heart to with those eyes mesmerizing him. Seemed like he couldn't even muster any words out of his mouth due to how pretty Sean seemed, especially under that moonlight. God, it was perfect on them. Michael then gently took her hand, and before he knew it, he was pulled in close to her chest, which immediately caught him off guard. Sean took her other hand and placed it on Micheal’s waist. Michael terribly tried to hide the fact that he was flustered. "C'mon, don't be so shy," Sean softly whispered. "Just try to follow my lead, if you can."

The two were now slowly dancing. Sean guided Michael throughout on how to properly slow dance, putting their feet on one side and one on the other as they slowly shuffled around their feet. The music in the background was playing a soft tune. The sound of a violin playing the notes of the song as the piano played in the background gracefully. Michael looked down at his feet. He was beginning to get the hang of it. He let out a scoff in satisfaction. Slow dancing was simple than he thought it'd be. They took a quick look up at Sean for a few seconds. Sean was smiling with their eyes shut throughout the whole thing, silently loving each and every moment. They were both relaxed. They both enjoyed their moment together. It was so serene. Sean opened their eyes back up and  took Michael's arm over him as she swiftly spun him around, which caught him off guard and made him snap out of his tranquil vibe. Sean lovingly pecked a small kiss on his nose afterward. "You're so cute like this. Smiling and all."

Michael couldn't help but giggle a bit. "Would you quit making me feel flustered?" Sean shook their head. "Nah, I'll keep doing so til the day I die." She pecked Michael on the nose again. "Your laugh is pretty to listen to, by the way."

"...thanks." Michael muttered with a smile. Out of all the things Sean could say to him, that was probably the most special to Michael.

"I meant it, by the way," Sean softly spoke to him.

"I know." he replied. After that, they danced for the rest of the remaining of the moment til they decided it was time they rested.
