My thoughts behind this:
Stiles needed a distraction, a break from college and all the stress that came with it. After saving up he set on his road trip for the summer, intending to look for odd jobs along the way if he wanted to extend it.
His distraction came in the form of Peter Hale. They met in a bar, at Stiles’ latest destination on his road trip. Stiles explained his plans, that he was having a much needed escape from college and an excuse to explore some new places.
Peter was smitten, not only was Stiles gorgeous but smart, cheeky and funny too. He offered to let him stay in his farm house, free of charge. Stiles, of course, is reluctant to take up the offer at first- he insists on helping him around the farm in exchange.
Stiles liked that Peter appreciated his little quirks, that he always loved listening to him even if he was rambling. And Peter? Stiles had never met a guy so gorgeous, even his constant sass was endearing, it mixed well with his own.
This started a summer romance, Stiles never ending up visiting those other destinations, Peter’s farm was all he needed.
