You were mine

Summary:

You and Abby fight and make up after she comes back from her trip to Jackson.

Work Text:

Abby had disappeared with her crew to find Joel in Jackson, but not before we had a huge fight. I called her selfish. Selfish for only thinking about her own feelings. Selfish for wanting revenge. Selfish for leaving me.

We had basically broken up after that. Staying out of each other’s ways as much as we could and avoiding any and all communication.

Which is why I didn’t expect this outburst when she came back. I was sitting in the cafeteria, talking to Trinity. I hadn’t even noticed Abby coming my way when fists started flying from her mouth.

“Seriously, I go looking for my fathers killer and you move on to someone new?” I raised my eyebrows at her.

“I think we both know my stance on your revenge. We broke up, remember.”

“You were mine, dammit. You and me against the world, remember?” She spat back.

“You only cared about finding Joel. And I understood that, but you pulled away from me. You didn’t want to be with me. So don’t put this on me.” At this point I was standing in front of her, pointing my finger at her chest with every word.

“You were mine.” She repeated, but this time it was a whisper.

“That was before you chose to leave me behind.”

“You didn’t wanna come.” I took a step back.

“I couldn’t come. Isaac told me I had to stay here. And you left me.” It was like Abby finally realised we had this whole conversation in the middle of a crowded room.

“Can we-…” She started, “Can we go to my room? Talk this through?” She asked softly. I let out a big breath.

“Sure.” It came out more sarcastic than I wanted to, but I followed her out of the cafeteria nonetheless.

She stepped aside to let me into her room. A room that was so familiar to me. I made sure Manny wasn’t in the room before turning around to face Abby.

“Is she.-… Is she your girlfriend?” She finally asked.

“No. I like her, but no. She’s nothing like you. But you’ve been gone for weeks and I worried you weren’t going to come back. I needed someone to talk to and she was nice and kind to me.”

“I’m sorry for leaving you, but I needed to do this.”

“I know.” I spoke. “Did you find him?” Abby only nodded her head.

“Did you finish it?” She nodded yet again, water droplets forming in the corners of her eyes.

I walked to her as quickly as I could, pulling her in a bone crushing hug. Her hands clung to my back.

“It’s okay. You did what you needed to do.” I muttered into her ear. She sobbed quietly into my shoulder.

Her lips were on mine before I could retreat and my eyes fluttered closed. I could taste the saltiness from her tears.

“God, I missed you.” She breathed against my lips. A smile formed on my face. I had missed her too. I placed my hands on her cheeks and pulled her back in. My heartrate was picking up and I breathed in deeply through my nose to try and calm myself down. It has been so long since we’ve done this.

Abby pushed me onto the bed, her hands going under my shirt as she straddles me. Her lips pressed against mine hard and I responded with the same hunger. Her hands cupping my breasts and when her tongue traces down my jaw I let out a loud moan.

“Abby, have you talked to-…” The door to Abby’s room opened and in stormed Manny. “Nevermind. You two seem to have found each other again.” He turns on his heels and slams the door behind him. I look up at Abby, a big smile forming on my lips as I giggle. Abby kisses me softly on the lips one more time before sitting up.

“Do I still have some making up to do?”

“You’re getting there.” I smile.
