Work Text:

I became a part of the WLF about three months ago and have gone on quite some missions since then. I usually go out with Mel and Owen, but lately I was paired with Manny and Abby. Which was fine by me, Manny’s humor kept me sane and Abby’s physique got me crossing my legs more than once.

I sat in the back of the truck with Abby, Manny driving the vehicle. She looked around, keeping an eye on our surroundings at all times, making sure we were safe. We made it to a gas station, about a 45 minute drive away.

“Okay, let’s check it out.” Manny said as he exited the truck. Abby jumped down and turned back to me, holding out a hand for me to use so I could get down easier.

“Thanks.” I muttered. She gave me a smile and a nod before she moved on to the gas station.

I held up my gun as Manny stood to open the door and Abby stayed back, making sure we wouldn’t get attacked from behind. Once Manny had breached the door we slowly walked into the building, checking every row and behind every stand.

“It’s clear.” He finally said. I lowered my gun and put it back into my holster. Abby pushed past me, putting her hand on my lower back to get by me. It made my heart flutter, those little touches here and there.

I walked the aisles aimlessly, occasionally picking a can of something up, just to see it had expired years ago. Finally I walked to the back of the gas station. The door said “Employees only”, and I quietly walked in. I pulled out my flashlight, the room too dark to see anything.

I jumped back with a yelp when I saw the stalker in the corner of the room. Before I could turn around and run it was on me. Pouncing like a prey animal. I screamed loudly, trying to keep its mouth away from my face.

“Y/N!” Abby yelled. I could hear the commotion in the gas station, but my only focus was on staying away from the stalker. My hands grabbed at its throat, pushing with all my might to get some distance between us. Then, the stalker disappeared. Within seconds I heard a shot go off and the zombie stilled. I let out a nervous giggle.

“Are you okay?” Abby worried. She looked me up and down, checking me for visible bites. I patted myself down.

“I’m good.” I breathed. “I’m good.”

“Goddamnit, Y/N, I thought I lost you.” I looked past her at Manny, who shook his head and left us alone, deciding to return to check out the rest of the gas station.

“I’m fine, Abby.”

“Don’t do that to me.” She fretted. “I can’t lose you.” I raised an eyebrow at her. She shrunk back, a slight blush covering her cheeks.

“Abby…”

“Mhm?”

“Am I misreading the conversation?” She took in a sharp breath.

I stepped closer to her. My hands slowly reached up to cup her face. I closed the distance between us as our lips slowly met. At first our lips barely touched, then she pushed hard against me, pushing me up against the wall as her hands roamed my body. I breathed in deeply through my nose, I could smell her, the scent of deodorant and sweat mixing in the air.

Her hands lifted my shirt and touched my sides and abdomen. Her nails dug into my skin, desperate to keep me close. Her tongue worked its way into my mouth and I let out a satisfied moan as her tongue tangled with mine.

“If you two are done in there, we should get going.” Manny yelled from inside the building. We parted, and a giggle escaped my lips.

“We should probably-…”

“Yeah.” She rasped her throat. “We should.” A flush took over her face and to me it was adorable. This tough, strong young woman, so easily embarrassed.
