Summary:

https://www.reddit.com/r/GOADWritersGuild/comments/1jocgt5/goetry_were_going_on_an_adventure/

The GOetry form for the week of March 31, 2025, is from New Zealand.

Form: Monotetra
Theme: Adventure

What is a Monotetra?
A Monotetra is a poetic form consisting of four-line stanzas (quatrains) written in tetrameter—meaning each line has eight syllables. The key feature of a Monotetra is that all four lines of a stanza share the same end rhyme, and the final line is a repeated phrase or variation of itself. This gives the poem a rhythmic, almost musical quality.

How to Write a Monotetra:
Each stanza has four lines (quatrains).
Every line has eight syllables.
The rhyme scheme is AAAA (all lines in a stanza rhyme).
The final line of each stanza repeats the last phrase, creating a punchy and lyrical effect.

Work Text:

Aziraphale's Adventure

I’ll leave the Archangel with you,
I explore, you know what to do:
Keep him hidden, it’s just you two.
I found a Clue, I found a Clue!

A pair from below and above,
Their passion needed a small shove.
You’re all that I’ve ever dreamed of.
We are in love, we are in love!

They go to Alpha Centauri.
Three stars, one planet, no coffee,
No books, no plants, so why can’t we?
Just you and me, just you and me.
