“Good game out there,” Isagi bids with a halfhearted smile, waving goodbye to Kurona before turning a corner, his smile immediately dropping into a huff. He enters the empty locker room with a sigh of relief, exhausted and too sweaty for the bunny’s liking. Slipping off the soiled uniform, he throws it to the side carelessly - he’ll pick it up later.
It’s silent; everybody else had left the locker room, and thank god they did. His nose was too sensitive to handle the heavy musk that always lingered after a game. His tall, pointy ears shivered just thinking about it.
It wasn’t so bad on the field, since he was transfixed on the ball and the flow of the game, but everything was compacted in the locker room. His nose scrunches up in mild disgust, shivering once more before shaking his head. Isagi preferred to be alone anyways, but not everybody respected his preferences. And by everyone, there really was only one man.
The bunny didn’t bother to hide his annoyance when a pair of strong and furry arms wrap around his waist - pulling the bunny close, Isagi’s back pressing against the hard planes of a chest. He didn’t need to look back to know who it was, nobody would ever touch him so casually. Nobody but one damned wolf.
“Get off me, Kaiser,” Isagi growls, certainly not as intimidating as a wolf’s but just as annoyed, turning his head back slightly to see the routined smirk on Kaiser’s face. The taller licks his lips, his tongue grazing over his teeth in an unhurried, almost conciliatory manner, amusement dancing in his light eyes.
Kaiser doesn’t heed the warning, instead leaning in to nuzzle his nose against the shorter’s neck — his blonde fur ruffling against Isagi’s darker ones, a satisfied hum rumbling through his chest.
“So cold,” the blonde teased, or really just mocked, pressing more of his muzzle against the bunny’s neck. Isagi shivers at the touch, his eyes flickering down to where Kaiser’s hands rested on his hips.
Big hands for a big wolf. The taller’s claws nearly engulf his slim waist—it’s almost unfair to play against such a beast. Alas, he had not much of a choice anyways.
Despite himself, his mind screaming at him in refusal, Isagi leans back slightly with a scoff - letting himself indulge in the fleeting moment. Kaiser leans in as well, giving time for the two of them to bask in the rare warmth they shared. It’s not often they’re vulnerable with each other anyways.
“Good game,” Isagi murmurs, breaking the tenacity of which they clung to each other silently. Kaiser’s ears twitch subtly, but there’s no other reaction from him - he’s trying to play coy, even as his tail starts to wag behind him. The bunny can’t help a small snort of disbelief.
Gingerly, Isagi reaches out with a paw to lightly scratch under the jaw of Kaiser’s muscle - his head shifting slightly to meet the other’s gaze. At first sight, the blonde scoffs in irritation before begrudgingly leaning in to the touch. Kaiser couldn’t resist it anyways.
As much as he claimed to hate the small, useless, stupid, idiotic and egoistical bunny.. Kaiser was weak for his Yoichi.
“Indulging me, are you?” Kaiser murmured in a barely concealed sarcasm despite tilting his head to give the shorter a larger view of his under-jaw. Isagi only shrugged, turning around fully to face his partner.
Kaiser’s claws remained in Isagi’s waist, though it slowly travels down the side of the bunny’s lithe body. Isagi doesn’t stop his paws, now with full force, scratching below the wolf’s jaw.
They’d rather die than show even the slightest hint of acknowledgment to each other on the field, but in here? In the locker room alone, just the two of them together? They’d be as affectionate as they wanted; banter, or not. Isagi can’t help the way his heart flutters when the involuntary whines and whimpers leave the wolf’s mouth - curse Kaiser’s unusual cute side.
Unable to take it anymore, Kaiser leans in again with a single-minded purpose with his eyes fluttering close. He presses the tip of his muzzle to Isagi’s lips, the gentle touch causing Isagi’s hands to stop their ministrations and focus on returning the tender kiss. Taken aback, Isagi’s eyes shut close as he relaxed into the gesture.
It’s awkward; Isagi’s visage is too small, and Kaiser’s muzzle is rather big, but they make it work. Kaiser’s careful to be benign in his movement, not wanting to actually hurt the other— no matter how much he might’ve pretended he did. Isagi appreciates the thought, tilting his head slightly.
It lasts only for a moment longer, soft lips against each other, before Kaiser parts his mouth slightly - his teeth grazing against the soft dark fur decorating Isagi’s features. The bunny’s eyes immediately shot open, feeling his eye twitch in annoyance and a vein bulging out.
“Close your damn mouth,” he grits out in mild irritation, not hesitating to grab at the snout of Kaiser’s muzzle - clamping the mutt’s mouth close. Kaiser’s eyes widened in surprise, before a low, annoyed snarl leaves his lip. Isagi lets out a boisterous laughter of amusement, not at all bothering to hide the mirth in his voice.
“You think you’re real fuckin’ funny, huh?” Kaiser growls through gritted teeth, his mouth still camped shut by Isagi’s surprisingly strong paw - his grip strength taking the wolf aback. The blue-furred smirks smugly, indeed finding himself very fucking funny, before returning the mocking gesture from earlier, “So cold.”
Kaiser rolls his eyes, not all entertained by Isagi’s acts of playful humour, but relents anyways. He doesn’t remember when he became so soft. Must be the Yoichi effect. The said effect lets out his final chuckles before forcing himself to let go of the man’s jaw with a faux sigh of sadness.
The blonde-furred’s eyes narrow when his jaw is finally set free, a small scoff leaving his lips as he leaned in an attempt to be menacing, “I could eat you, y’know that?” Isagi raises an eyebrow, unamused and unafraid. “You can go ahead and try,” he challenges head-on, smirking lightly in response.
Kaiser only rolls his eyes at the smug response, squeezing Isagi’s hips firmly before finally letting go and taking a step back. He doesn’t completely leave yet, instead ruffling a hand in between Isagi’s pointed bunny ears—earning a small grunt from the shorter.
“Night, dumbass,” Kaiser murmurs with a small snort, adding in a rougher tussle of the hair before retracing his arm with a smirk. Isagi rolls his eyes, tidying up his messy locks, before replying back with a smile, “Yeah, yeah. Get lost, shitty Kaiser.”
Isagi watches the wolf saunter away, biting back a grin as he sees the sway of a tail following behind. What an idiot.
