Every night Atsushi finished her Vigilante work as "Lonely Rabbit" she end up with bruises or cuts as Kai can't help it with a worried so much for their best friend.
With that same smile on her face as always like nothing happened.
"Come on, Atsushi.." Kai muttered as trying to pick up her call but no answered again.
They sighed as pinch top of their nose. "What's the matter?" Spoke asked as wiping the grease away by using the cloth.
"It's Atsushi. She didn't.. answer my calls again." Said Kai with a tiny frown, can't help it with a worry so much for her. "Probably busy or important stuff to do." Spoke said as place the cloth down.
Busy just like her vigilante work, who always risking her life during dangerous job she has.
Spoke sighed and ruffles Kai's hair as They groaned while He smirk down at them. "Just relax, I'm pretty sure that Atsushi doing fine as always." He said to them.
Kai frowned and looking at their watch device, 5 missed calls.
Where is she?

"Atsushi? Are you done?"
"Yeah." Atsushi replied as wipe the blood off from her cheek after dealing her client's targets for tonight.
She sighed as looking at her surroundings which is beaten up thugs while groaning in pain.
"Uh.. Dude, You got missed 5 calls." Hiromitsu said through small device against her earlobe behind. "Coming from who?"
"Kai."
Shit, She forgot about the plans for tonight!
"Fuck!" Atsushi repeatedly as began to leave from alleyway and goes to emergency stairs exit to go rooftop to parkour to other rooftops.
"Should I text them.. to let them know you're on your way?" Hiromitsu asked as He could hear Atsushi running and jumping through other rooftops and random stuffs blocking her way.
"Yes please! Hiromitsu! Fuck, I completely forgot about our plans for tonight!" She cursed herself.
Hiromitsu sighs and can't help with a chuckle. "Oh Atsushi.. you and your obsession fighting criminals keeps you distracted and lost in time." He tease as Atsushi groans.
"Just help me and find me shortcut to Suma Garage!"
"Got ya, Sister."

It's closing time at Suma Garage, Hugo and Others had plans for tonight which is Kai is in charge to look out for garage while they're gone.
Kai was frowned as playing a digital Rubik's cube to their tag wrist. Waiting Atsushi, Again.
Knock, Knock, Knock!
They stopped and get up as goes to the door to open which is Atsushi in her casual clothes and taking a deep breaths from running.
"H..Hey.." She panted. "Sorry.. I was late."
"Jesus Christ.. 'Tsuhi." They whispered as guide her to take a sit down on the sofa nearby.
Kai goes to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water and walk towards to Atsushi handing it to her. "Thanks." She sighed as open the cap and start to drink it.
They lean their back against the wall with their arms crossed against their chest. "Where are you this time?" They asked as Atsushi looks at Kai while lowering the bottle from her lips.
"Uhh.. Spending time with.." Atsushi make a excuse lie but Kai giving them a look.
She let out a defeat sigh "Fine, I was at my own work. You know do finding client's target and beat the shit out of them yada.. yada.. blah." Said Atsushi as rubs back of her neck.
"Seriously? You keep doing this for like every late night, Tsuhi." Kai commented with a frown. "Yeah so..?"
They pull away from the wall and facing at front of her while put their own hands on Kai's waist.
"So? What if you get ended up killed?" They asked.
"That won't happen. I'll be fine." Atsushi get up and goes to the small kitchen nearby from Suma garage and place bottle down.
"Won't happen? Okay so.. what happened if Hiromitsu won't be there to help you to back up?" They questioned Atsushi. "Then I'll fine a way and planning for it." She responded.
"What If you ended up like-"
Atsushi cuts Kai off. "Don't." She muttered.
Her hands turn into fists against the island counter while frowning herself by look down.
"..."
"Atsushi, Why are you like this?" Kai murmurs.
"..."
Kai take a few step forwards and reaching out physically but Atsushi move away.
"Why? Because.." She take a long deep breath and frowned herself, sadly. "I can't let you ended up just like her."
Kai knows what really happened to Kiyomi. She's Atsushi's closest friend before her death.
Atsushi witness the horrible scene when she get there and she knew something's not right. Atsushi find Kiyomi, lifeless body at front of her at the aban warehouse.
Kiyomi's eyes filled fear and pain with a single drip tear down to her cheek before her death.
Bleeding from her stomach. Deep stab.
"I just don't want you to get involved my work.. If you do.." She sighed and looks down on the floor.
"God.. Things get real shit ugly and I won't forgive myself If something's bad happened to you." Atsushi whisper.
Kai take a step forward and held Atsushi's hands. Give a gentle squeeze. "Tsuhi, Please."
"I may already been through.. bullshits in the past.. and I'm getting used to it." Said Kai with a concern look on their face.
Then again another step forward as Kai's hands reaches to Atsushi's cheeks to held and lift her head up to look into Kai's gaze.
"Please Tsuhi.."
Her eyes slowly look up to see Kai's eyes filled concerned and.. worried for her. Atsushi take a deep breath and held their hands to give a gentle squeeze.
"I'll let you in.. one day." She replied with a kind smile as Kai frowns little with sadden a bit expression.
"You promise?"
"I will, I promise."

Few days pass, Watari noticed Kai was trying reach out Atsushi. Again. They groaned in frustration when they heard the same voicemail of 'tsuhi.
"Kai, What's up?" She walk towards to them as Kai look at her. "Nothing.. Just checking on my best friend, that's all." Kai said, They gave a small smile to Watari.
"You sure? It sounds like Atsushi's left a voicemail message." She tilt her head in confusion but Kai bit their cheek inside.
Kai let out a sigh in defeat and looking their own watch device. "She hasn't.. answer my calls. Again." They crossed their arms and lean against the wall nearby.
"Busy?" She asked as Kai nodded.
".." They silence with a tiny frown.
Watari goes next to them. "You worried so much about her, Is she.. closet friend of yours?" Watari asked but Kai nodded.
"Atsushi.. She's meant everything for me. Like I won't forget that We meet when we're kids and Atsushi always got my back and making sure I'm doing alright." They replied with a tiny smile.
Looking at their own bike & apartment keys to see a moon keychain attached on it that Atsushi bought for her during arcade hangout in the past since they're both have a matching keychains, Atsushi's a star and Kai's a moon.
"She's my best friend. My real friend who be there for me and supporting me what I been through.. and Atsushi's.. my partner, My partner in crime since we're kids." Kai continues as smiling.
But Kai didn't realize They went too far and look up to Watari with a smile as They immediately avoid her gaze with a tiny blush.
"Sounds like you're in love with her, Kai. But question is.. why you didn't tell her how you really feel for Atsushi?" Watari asked them.
They sighs and rubs back of their own neck. "I have my reasons.."
She tilt her head "Like what?"
Kai silence "..."
Watari hums. "Kai, I think you should do it. About telling her how much you really love her." She said as making Kai's eyes widen in almost feared.
"God, I.. I don't know. What If Atsushi's type is.. you know.. prefer someone else than me." They sheepishly look away and sigh sadly.
"You know that Atsushi won't be like that. If She ever has falling love with someone, It has to be you, Kai." Watari responsed and kneel down to lower her level with Kai.
Her hand give a comfort pat to Kai's back. "I saw.. how you two inseparable and you two almost hanging out everyday." Said Watari as Kai listening.
"And How.. Atsushi talks about you when you're not... around, You should see her face how her eyes lightened up and smile so happy." She smiled to them.
Of all the things that Kai and Atsushi been through together. Watari is right, They're both Inseparable. They're partners and they been through together from bad times. Always have each other's back.
Until Kai received a message from Atsushi at their watch device.
"Emergency, Kai! Need to escape!"
"Crap! I gotta go, Atsushi needs help. Thank you, Watari. I appreciate what we talk about!" Said Kai with a smile as reaches their keys then helmets to rescue Atsushi.

"Atsushi! You're almost there!" Said Hiromitsu through Atsushi's earpiece while She runs and dodges the things that blocking her way as possible as she can.
"You little bitch! Come here!" One of the men shouted as Atsushi sprint faster.
"Please tell me that Kai have arrived!" Atsushi said during call. "They're here! You're almost there!" He replied.
As Atsushi run towards and knocks down the stuffs to blocks the direction to make sure those thugs won't chase her down.
"KAI!"
Kai turn their head to see Atsushi immediately run towards to them and hop on to Kai's bike as Two of them put their helmets on their heads.
"Hang on tight!" They said as started the engine and floor it while driving away from the dangerous place and escaping the thugs who chase Atsushi down.
After that, They quick drive back to Kai's apartment. Closing the door behind with a click as Kai & Atsushi sighed in relief.
Atsushi pulls her hood down and disable her digital mask to catch a breath. "I'm glad.. you came right on time." She panted.
Kai nodded as catching their breath as well too. "I'm gonna get us some water." They murmurs as Atsushi nodded. "I'll change."
They walk towards to their small kitchen to pour a two glasses of water since Atsushi get change of her clothes. Soon, Atsushi exit from the bathroom while wearing shorts and hoodie with backpack against her back since her vigilante clothes inside of it.
"What happened back there?" Kai asked as look at her and hands a glass of water to Atsushi.
She take a sip of it and avoid their gaze. "I kinda pissed them off.."
"Kinda?" Kai raise their eyebrow. "I mean.. They came out of nowhere and I thought they're busy during my taking down target." Atsushi said with a sheepishly tone.
They both sighed as rubbing their head. "For the love of.. 'Tsuhi.." Kai muttered.
"And I thought the distraction would be work.. but.. I don't think properly of the plan." She sighed as place the glass down at the counter.
Atsushi place her bag down next to Kai's nightstand drawer, She sits on the bed while fidgeting her both thumbs together.
Kai sits besides to Atsushi. "Atsu.. How long you're gonna keep doing this?" They ask.
"Until.. I found the person.. the person who kill.. Kiyomi." Atsushi whispered with a tiny frown on her brows. "For what? Forever? Atsushi, You're trying to risk your life every nights just to find those criminals!" Said Kai with a frown.
Her hands turn into fists against her lap. "I know what am I doing, Kai." She mumbled.
"See! That's what you always do! Avoiding the problems, Pushing someone away! Atsushi please! Why are you like this?"
"Because I'm scared to lose you!" Atsushi snapped out.
The apartment is filled with silent. Atsushi take a deep breath with a sadden look in her face.
"If I involve you at my.. work. I wouldn't forgive myself If something's happened to you or others." Atsushi whispered.
"I.. I care about you, I care about you.. Kai. So much with.. All my heart."
Atsushi trying to get herself together but Kai's hand reaches to hers to hold onto and give a gentle squeeze to calm her down.
"You're my partner.. You're my everything to me, 'Tsu." Kai said with softened gaze to Atsushi.
Her own heart pounding little fast against her own chest.
Atsushi's hands hold onto Kai's arms and pull them against to her while their both lips pressed against each other's.
"..!"
Everything's stop when Atsushi kiss Kai. It's like the whole world stop spinning. Listening their own heartbeats to their both ears.
She slowly pulls away and looking to Kai. "Shit.. Kai, I didn't mean to-"
Kai pull her into another kiss. This time deep and passion, making Atsushi's eyes slowly close and kisses them back while her hands held back of their head.
They both finally have kiss together.
After pass second of kiss. They both pull away each other and pressing their foreheads against with a soft laughs escape to their both lips.
"Holy shit." Kai said with a smile. "Yeah.. That was.. something else." Atsushi replied with a laugh.
Then pull away a bit to look each other, Kai's hand held Atsushi's cheek while She leans against their touch. "I'm sorry, For pushing you away. Like I said, I'm scared.. to lose you." Said Atsushi.
"It's okay, 'Tsushi." They replied. "Just promise me.. If anything happens, Just call me. I don't care how far you are or how hard to find you. I'll come and get you and save you.. okay?" Kai asked as Atsushi nodded. "I will, I promise."
Kai smiles and leans towards to Atsushi to give a gentle kiss. "I love you, Atsushi."
"I love you too, Kai."
