Failure(?)

Summary:

Choco Drizzle had promised gold. But she will return with silver.

And it was all because of one paladin.

So, the only thing she could be feeling right now was resentment.

.. Right?

.. God she hated feeling..

Chapter 1: Silver.

Chapter Text

Choco Drizzle packed her very few possessions silently in the Grand Cookie Games locker rooms. Most people would have been happy to get second place. Some even ecstatic. But not Choco Drizzle. She had promised gold to her master and would be reporting back with silver.

Her sisters had tried to cheer her up, but, as the eldest AKA the one who had been serving their master for the longest, she wasn't convinced.

She had failed.

And it was all because of one cookie with hair as blonde as the soda isle sands and eyes as pink as the richest pink frosting.

Choco Drizzle wouldn't forget those eyes for a long time. She had always been an emotionless cookie, especially compared to her sisters. But now? On the outside she was regular old Choco Drizzle, but on the inside she was..feeling.

Feelings that she could only think that were one thing: resentment. What other explanations were there? Anytime she thought back to that moment, dueling in the final seconds of the games with someone who looked like an exact swap version of them, she felt warm.

Choco Drizzle didn't like feeling warm, not at all. It was weird and unfamiliar, she hated it, so that was the only explanation.

And yet, she couldn't get those stupid blonde curls out of her head. The way her opponent's eyes glittered as she got Choco Drizzle to think and, for the first time in her life, lose focus.

Choco Drizzle, without even knowing, gripped on the handle of her long knife harder. If only.. If only she wasn't such a..

"Failure." the wanted assassin whispered coldly to herself as she looked into her own black-brown eyes in a nearby mirror.

~~~~~~~~
"Sis!! Sis are you in hereeee?? I'm boreddd! And Green Tea Mousse ran away when she saw something shiny!" Pudding a la mode whined as she suddenly barged into the locker room a little later.
Pudding a la mode's yellow-brown eyes darted around the room, looking for her sister, her heel blasters keeping her up.
Choco Drizzle sighed as she heard her sister barge in, reluctantly making herself visible by stepping away from a nearby locker.
"What is it?" she asked blankly
("Just stay neutral. Just like always.") the assassin thought to herself.
"Yay!! I found youu! Can I prettyyyy please go get those sweets from that ferret thingie now??" the youngest pleaded with wide eyes, getting straight to the point and putting her big poofy sleeves together to look like she was begging as she floated towards her sister eagerly
Choco Drizzle's expression darkened when she didn't mean it to, she was not in the mood for her sister's begging right now, she really never is.
"No." she shut down straight fowardly, already slinging her light bag over her shoulder.
"What!? Awww but why notttt? Both you and sis promised that if we did good I could have sweets!!" she whined dramatically stomping one of her heel blasters in the air.
"Well we didn't." she responded sharply than she intended to.
".. Huh?? But we did, like, so good! Green Tea said so! She said we looked so cool, and-and-!" she rambled as she mimicked blasting with her off cream colored blaster as kicking with one of her heels.
Choco Drizzle's fist tightened subconsciously.
She was going to regret this later.
"Well she was wrong. We did bad. We didn't get first, so we failed. So we don't get rewards or sweets. We have to try harder or we will keep on failing. Got it?" she explained a little harsher than necessary.
Pudding a la mode stared at her sister for a moment, like she was going to start having a tantrum at any moment. But she didn't.
".. Oh.. " she muttered quietly, disappointed.
The cyborg cookie floated down slightly, a complete contrast to her usual self.
".. I'm gonna go back to sis now.. " she said quietly before floating off
("You're not sweet..") Pudding muttered as she went through the door and closing it.
For a moment, Choco Drizzle wanted to go to her sister and..apologize? She didn't do that much. But she quickly shook her head, her heart shaped braids swaying across her tan dough.
No more of that.
No more mistakes.
Ever.
