Work Text:

¨Are you just going to sit and pout because I'm not letting you patch me up?" Scott scoffed at the periwinkle haired boy huffing in front of him. Scott looked like the polar opposite of the other; tall and lanky, and despite constantly usinga wet mop as a weapon, barely built any muscle.

"I want to help take care of you sometimes!" the periwinkle haired boy, Jordan, continued to pout like a child, despite having a job where he had to take care of other people's kids. He had build quite a bit of muscles himself from swinging his baseball bat around at corrupt monsters that had begun to take over the world, thanks to a group trying to bring back the "Holy One of Balance".

There were many attempts to bring the specific goat-like Holy One back, and Scott and Jordan were failed experiments of that. Unfortunately, with all the new creatures with magic, chaos began to run rampant... That specific Holy One believed that all beings should live in peace... But now in attempts to make their ideal world, they were causing more problems

Jordan heard a distorted cackle from behind him on his back, from the annoying, talkative cursed baseball bat he pick up in a rush as a fight broke out. "Haha! And you two are back at each other's throats again! Couples Counseling would do you two good. Just hold hands, and it'd be believable." The haunted weapon cackled again, Scott groaning and rolling his eyes, Jordan stuffing the bat deeper inti the bag

Soon, a blur of black and red skidded to a halt in front of the two boys. It was a black, amorphous blob with two white beady eyes. It was an shape-shifting monster named Kacey, who was seemingly the only person or monster who worked there. "You're pizza is re- oh- what's going on here...?"

Scott only huffed as he grabbed a slice of their pizza, with Jordan pouting and grabbing his own slice from the box labelled with the motto "today's loss is tomorrow's sauce!". The bat soon began to grumble about not being available to eat in his current state. Kacey smiled with their non existant mouth as he watched the two huff and pout with the maturity of toddlers in teenagers' bodies.

They had faith in them, they were going to save the world.
