Another run through gardenview as there is only so much to do for fun. This has gone quite far with the group being on floor 37 having Looey as their main distractor, currently handling Vee, Sprout, Shrimpo, and Brightney while Goob is being a backup distractor having Astro, and Finn. With only 3 machines left Sprout, Vee, Glisten, and Tisha are waiting at the elevator with a machine primed for finishing. Then Connie and Shelly are out doing the last two machines.
“Distracing is hard work, but it has to be done,” Looey thinks to himself, and then he hears it, two more machines being finished and then the warning that it is nearly time to run to the elevator. And there it is, the final machine is finished, the elevator has opened, and panic mode has started. The 6 non-distractors run into the elevator, and Goob runs in soon after since he was distracting close to the elevator. All Looey has to do is run past and get inside. He runs, trying to get some of the twisteds to stop chasing him, and while successful with some it isn’t enough. Right at the elevator he was spotted by Astro with Vee already chasing him his stamina runs out and it happens. He was hurt right in front of the elevator, causing him to trip inside the elevator, barely making it in alive. Sprout then perks up and runs to his side.
“Looey are you okay?!” Sprout says as he lowers down to Looey’s level and helps him back up.
“Yeah I’ll be fine, that's just how it is being a distractor!” He says as he does a stretch.
“I just wanna make sure you’re doing okay, distracting can hurt sometimes.”
“Eh I’m pretty used to it, gotta get hurt to even distract the twisteds.”
“And that’s why I need to make sure you’re okay. Come on, at least sit with me while we are on our way to the next floor.” Looey blushes at the thought of sitting with Sprout, who sits down and pats the ground next to him.
“Okay geez, don’t gotta be me like that.” He sits down next to sprout.
“It’s not begging, I’m just looking out for your health. Here this should help you feel better.” Sprout hands Looey a cupcake.
“No, I don’t need that. One of your heals costs a lot of tapes, I don’t wanna waste it at all.”
“Come on I have plenty, you and Goob have been doing such a good job distracting there has been barely any hits this run. Besides, if you get hit again we’ll lose you and we can’t let that happen.”
“Alright fine, if you insist I guess I’ll take the cupcake.” Sprout smiles at him for accepting the offer, and Looey takes a look at the cupcake. It’s yellow with purple and green stripes with a red heart in the middle. Looks a lot like him, with the red looking a lot like sprout, but no he must be overthinking, Sprout doesn’t like him the way he likes Sprout.
“Ginger helped me learn how to frost like that last time she was here, I’m uh, not usually this good.” Looey starts to eat the cupcake, and his head starts to re-inflate.
“I think it looks great, and delicious!” Sprout blushes at the comment.
“Glad you like it, hopefully you’re feeling a little better.”
“Yeah, thank you really!”
“Of course, I don’t plan on letting anyone go because I can’t heal them.” Sprout then gets a little closer to Looey and grabs his hand. Looey's face goes a bit red from this, but he enjoys the moment. However it doesn’t last long before Vee comes up to them.
“Come on you two, we’re on the next floor now, time to focus.” The two get up as the elevator door opens. Before leaving Sprout says one last thing.
“That was nice, if you want you can come see me in my room or the kitchen anytime you want, always glad to see you. Goodluck!” Sprout gives Looey a kiss on the cheek before walking out of the elevator to grab tapes, items, and work on machines.
