Lukey was anxiously walking and rumaging the chests around the whole lab. He had to make sure that they had enough potions and restocks for fights after what happened at the ball.
When he left the ballroom he saw that sneeg and Bad were in the middle of a fight, that gave him at least the reassurance that Pangi had managed to get out safely, but he was worried that he had gotten any nasty injury from it, since the reason he had to run was probably him not having any more healing or regeneration pots.
He was so focused in gathering materials from the chests that he didn't hear the bubble elevator going of, signal of someone coming into the lab.
-"Honey, I'm back from war!"
The familiar voice of Pangi made him turn around instantly, the sight of him standing there was enough for Lukey to leave everything he was doing so he could jump and wrap his arms around Pangi's neck, catching the both of them in a tight hug.
-"You're alive"
Lukey let out a sigh of relief once he was able to feel Pangi's warmt, tears started prickling in his eyes. Pangi just stood there for a few second before reciprocating the hug by wrapping his arms around Lukey's waist. They stayed there for a few minutes until Lukey pulled away, as Pangi tried to lean back, he let out a pained groan. This made Lukey alarmed, taking a step back and start checking every bit of Pangi so he could locate the injuries.
At first he didn't notice how disheveled he looked, parts of his dress where ripped if not stained with blood, beacause of the big slit on the dress one of his legs ended up with a lot of cuts and the worst one was in his torso, as the right side of the dress was torn out exposing a big dark bruise.
-"Dude, you look awful. Do you need help with those?"
-"Oh yeah... I'll be fine, don't worry. I just need some food and I'll be better"
Pangi walked a few steps back before hissising from the pain. He tried laughing it off but Lukey wasn't buying it, so he grabbed his arm and started dragging him to another room of the lab.
-"Come here, I have some bandages at my office. I can take care of those for you"
Once at the office, Lukey took everything that was on the desk and throwed it aside until it was empty. Pangi watched his every movement carefully and a bit confused.
-"Oh right. Take off you armour and sit on the desk while I get some things, It'll be easier than kneeling down"
Pangi nodded and followed what he instructed him to do, his eyes still following whatever Lukey was doing. The other grabbed one healing potion from one of the chest along with the bandages, cotton balls and a small alcohol bottle. He sat himself directly infront of Pangi and settled the stuff next to him.
-"Tell me if it becomes to much for you and I'll stop instantly"
-"Yeah, sure..."
Lukey dipped one of the cotton balls in the alcohol while his other hand carefully touched one of the cuts in Pangi's leg checking for any sight of discomfort from him before cleaning the area, and finally helping it heal by pouring some of the potion in it before covering it with bandages.
Pangi tried muffling any kind of noise he could do and stayed as still as posible. It burnt, but compared to everything, he could bare it, especially if it meant getting to see Lukey so focused on him while humming some music.
He remembered his past experiences in lifesteal, when he had to be so cautious around everyone and couldn't afford to be this vulnerable in front of anyone and trust them as much as he L̶o̶v̶e̶s̶ trusts Lukey now.
-"How did this happend?"
Pangi didn't noticed when Lukey had finished with the cuts on his leg and moved to the bruise on his side. He felt and Lukey's soft fingers traced around the injury witbout making any pressure directly to it but the light discomfort was still present. Lukey's big brown eyes were now focused on Pangi's patiently waiting for him to be ready to answer
-"It was when Sneeg launched at me with his trident, Ros received most of the impact but not everything. It used to be a big open wound so at least it closed up but with how fast everything was I guess I didn't saw it wasn't healed propertly"
He was expecting to be berated by Lukey like how his teammates in lifesteal used to do when he got in fights he wasn't going to win, but instead he only hummed in understanding and went back to treating the bruise as before.
Pangi couldn't resist it anymore, seeing his focused but calm expression, his dark eyes fixed on him like a piece of art and his touch so warm and gentel as if he was made of glass that could easily be broken, he wanted to feel more of it. He moved one of his hands to caress his cheek, it felt forbiden for him to be allowed that but when Lukey leaned into his hand and gave him one of the sweetest smiles he's ever seen, he just wanted to melt right there and then.
-"Your eyes are like sapphires... wow... That's pretty corny isn't it?"
Lukey looked away after that, he got so mesmerized by Pangi's blue eyes that he said the first thing that came to his mind. He felt as he had ruined the moment so he tried pulling away, however Pangi trapped him between both of his hands forcing Lukey to look him straight in the eyes.
-"No... Not at all, anybody would have liked that"
Lukey felt his face getting warmer and he found his gaze switching between Pangi's eyes and his lips, he wanted to kiss him but knew he wasn't allowed to as Pangi usually rejected any type of serious romatic advances. He could only imagine what it would feel like and how it would happend, until Pangi leaned down and made their lips clash.
It took Lukey almost a full minute to understand what's happening, and once he did he quickly reciprocated de kiss, standing up and placing his hands on Pangi's sides of the table to stabilize himself and make it more comfortable for both of them at the same time that Pangi's hand went from his face to wrapping around his neck.
It was intoxicating for the both of them, almost addicting as Lukey could taste the flavour of golden apples and the sweetness of healing potions while Pangi enjoyed the taste of golden carrots with a small gunpowder bitterness from Lukey.
Pangi tried to pull Lukey imposibly closer, to love the feeling of another warm body keeping him company. He always denied how he used to be all alone ofter Pili 1 died, even with bad at his side, he often spended his evening lonely and convincing himself that he was better of that way, that's until Lukey showed up to make him feel that butterflies that he thought died along with Pili 1.
After a few minutes they both pulled away, gasping for air while pressing their foreheads together, unable to let that closeness go even after the kiss. They stayed there in silence, before they didn't realize how quiet the lab was until the only thing they could here was their uneven breaths and eachother heartbeat.
-"I love you Lukey"
Pangi whispered to Lukey directly at his ear, those words took him by surprise, for a moment he tought he was dreaming and was scared of waking up. His voice was low and soft, something only for him to hear like a secret for only the both of them to know.
-"Pangi I..."
He wanted to respond to him, trying to find the perfect words to say what he was feeling. However the lover's bubble was popped when the alarm from the entrace of the lab was trigger. The shriker was loud and so was Bad's voice ecoing around the big lab.
-"We should probably go talk to him, last time I saw him he was fighting sneeg at the sky, it wasn't pretty"
Pangi clicked his tounge in anoyance but he knew it was the only option, it didn't mean he had to like it. Lukey moved aside and helped Pangi hop off the desktop as he tried to fix his own disheveld suit and hair to look at least half way decent, he was glad that Pangi didn't wear any type of makeup like zam did or he would be having a whole different problem.
Pangi dusted off his dress and tied back his long spikey hair in a ponytail as he had it before it got messed up in the fight. He putted on his armor again and streched this time with no pain thanks to Lukey.
Before they left the office, Pangi looked and Lukey this time with a devious smile one that Lukey reconized as him planning to do something evil. He placed one of his hand on Lukey's shoulder before talking.
-"Don't worry, we can finish our 'talk' after all of this calms down a bit, and I'll be looking forward for it"
He pulled Lukey for a quick peck before going out of the office to talk to Bad, closing the door behind him. Lukey lifted his hand toching his lips as he found himself giggling about his situation.
God was he smitten
