Miranda was reading a letter that you wrote to her, a letter in which you declared your feelings, and with each word that was read, Miranda’s mind was flooded with thoughts she wouldn’t know how to explain.
"I hope you're not reading this Miri, you never read my letters (I think) I know you don’t care much about the things around you but I want you to know that I love you, I love you like I’ve never loved anyone and don’t come saying it’s because of the gratitude I feel for you for pulling me out of the reservoir when I was drowning because it’s not.
I never knew how to love because I was never loved, but I’m sure that what I’m feeling for you right now is love, I know we won’t have anything because you’re so focused on bringing Eva back and things like that, but if one day you want it I’ll be ready. Ready to have a life by your side, and who knows, have children? I never wanted to have children but with you I think I’d have an entire soccer team, I don’t know, I’m kind of scared to say what I feel but I think I have to take the risk, even though my hands are shaking and my handwriting is becoming illegible.
I don’t mind waiting as long as necessary, or if you’re never ready that’s okay, I know I’m not worthy of the priestess of the Black God, but I wanted you to know about my feelings, when I return if I return, we could talk about this, or maybe you’ll just kick me out of your lab, actually I’m a little scared to come back haha but I know whatever you choose will be what your heart tells you. No matter what others say I’m sure you have a heart, after all if you didn’t you wouldn’t think so much about your daughter and wouldn’t have this need to bring her back. I love you with all my being and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Kisses and until I return."
Finally, Miranda knew everything, she knew what you thought and what you felt, she didn’t know what to do so she just reread the letter a few times and kept it, falling into a deep silence.
Miranda walked around the village to clear her mind and think a little more about it, it was strange for her to be loved, no one had ever told her such things.
She walked around like any regular human without transforming into the crows and it was strange for the villagers to see the priestess there wandering, but she didn’t care, she just wanted to know what she felt. She should be angry at you for having the audacity to feel desire for her, but she didn’t want to kill you… She thought about what she wanted all day but she didn’t know, didn’t know what to do.
Maybe Miranda should just give time to time, and wait for you to return so you could talk, it was the best thing to do but what if you didn’t come back? That idea made Miranda desperate, you had to come back. But there was nothing left to do but wait, wait for your return patiently to see if something is going to happen.
