Chapter Text
The meeting in the Nelson, Murdock & Page office was... tense. She-Hulk, with her six-foot-three frame of green muscles and perfect smile, rested a hand on Matt’s shoulder as they reviewed a case.
“Seriously, Murdock?” Jennifer said, laughing too close to his ear.
“Karen, you could...” Matt swallowed hard as he heard the blonde’s heartbeat rise. A tick developed in his cheeks.
Jennifer rubbed Matt’s shoulder. “Oh, Matt, you seem really tense. Everything okay?”
Matt nodded and straightened his tie. “All good.”
Jennifer fluttered her eyelashes. “If you need physical assistance, you know where to find me.”

Matt, with his «I’m not looking but I feel everything» smile, cleared his throat, concerned. “Karen, Jen is just...”
“Jen?” she raised an eyebrow. “She’s about to break your chair,” Karen interrupted, pointing at She-Hulk’s hand, which now rested on the creaky wooden backrest.
“Ugh, this is too much for me.” Jennifer stood up, crossing her arms. “Calm down, blonde. He’s no longer my type... unless he wants to be.”
Matt coughed. “That doesn’t help.”
Karen shot him a look that could have melted steel. “Can you sign the papers and wrap this up?” she demanded of Jennifer, who nodded too cheerfully.
“Sure, what are colleagues for?”
