Summary:

“Who could forget him? You kept going on and on about him, how he is handsome, perfect, cool, and how you would have died if it wasn’t for him,” Sky said as he listed them with his fingers.
“I don’t remember saying that,”
“…that he appeared out of nowhere, just like the main lead in a K-drama,” Sky added.

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

“Did you hit your head or something?” Sky asked as he started checking for any injuries. “Rain, what’s gotten into you?”
“If I was not from this universe,” I paused, not knowing how to explain it. “I woke up this morning and…” I paused again, reluctant to tell him he was a character in a novel; I fell asleep reading to impress a girl. “Let me just say, that today just feels like Déjà vu. All the things that have happened. Have happened before, so I need to stop them from happening.” Nodding at the end to myself, buying into my bullshit of a story, but knowing that I needed Sky to believe it more than me. Sky scanned my face before relaxing.
“Not buying your half excuse, but I will play along.” I smiled at him because that’s all I needed before he smacked my head.
“Ouch! What was that for?” I said, rubbing my head.
“Will you stop smiling like a lunatic, I only said I will play along, you still need to convince me,” he said folding his arms.
“So you already know the guy who helped me with my car tyre?” I said.
“I’m sure I never said such a thing.”
“Oh, you didn’t?” he laughed, unmistakably mocking me or at least the other Rain, who I didn’t understand at all. Although his heart was always in the right place, the sweet,
innocent Rain was naive more than anything. Anyone could tell that he had a crush on Phayu. Sweet, naive Rain.
“OK, maybe I was extra, but you have no idea what it was like to be stuck in a storm with a flat tyre.” Nor did I, but it was crucial to convince Sky that I was Rain, his best friend.
Having woken up in a BL, the only thing I could think of was not wanting to end up with the male lead.
“So?” Sky asked, clearly over the teasing.
“That guy is Phayu, and he messed with my car, I can’t prove it, but I know it,” I told him. Yeah, he must be crazy. Accusing the God of architecture. “You should have seen him this morning…”
“You were with Phayu, this morning?” he shouted before slapping his mouth with his hand, but it was too late. Everyone turned to me, Ple being the first to question me.
“Rain, you were with P’Phayu this morning?” Disbelieve in her voice. “I thought you didn’t even know him.”
“It’s not like that, I just had car trouble, and it turns out that his family owns a garage.” My voice was dismissive, not liking the attention I was receiving from mentioning Phayu’s name. I needed to blend in and not stand out. That was the only way I could get back to my life.
“I heard that it’s expensive. That it only takes in cars for rich clientele.” Ple never one to leave well enough alone, especially when it had to do with Phayu.
“It was an emergency, Ple, or do you want to accuse me of something?” I spoke without thinking.
“Damn.” Sig blurted, “Who knew Rain, had it in him.”

“Ple, I’m sorry…” I was cut off by the lecturer walking in, but I knew it wasn’t over with the way Sky kept looking at me, and I couldn’t blame him. In a matter of days, I went from liking Ple to practically shutting her down. To be fair, I didn't like her. Rain did, and no matter how nice she was, I couldn't understand how self-absorbed she was. When she knew that Rain had a crush on her, she dared to ask Rain to help her pursue Phayu.

“So what was that?” Sky asked as soon as we were out of sight. “Don’t you like Ple, one would think she was your enemy rather than the girl you're going after.”
“I don’t think it will work out between me and her,” I honestly answered, after all, I was stuck in a BL,
“And when did you come up with this conclusion?”
“When I woke up in bed with P’Phayu.” I quickly added, “Nothing happened, and I need your help making sure it never happens again.”
“So you slept at P’Phayu’s place last night after your car broke down, am I correct?” I nodded, “And you want me to believe that nothing happened but you won’t chase after Ple anymore.” I nodded once more. To be fair, I only became Rain this morning anything before today did not matter besides the fact that I knew that I still had to fetch my car from Phayu’s garage and that I’d piqued Phayu’s interest. “Rain, do you think I am stupid?”

“Of course not Sky. I just need you to trust me. Ple is not the girl for me, but that doesn’t mean that I’m interested in P’Phayu.”
“Okay, so what do you need my help with?”
“First, I need you to fetch my car. It’s bad enough that I had to wake up in his bed; I don’t want to see him.” He was off to a good start. Avoiding him and not angering him would eventually make P’Phayu lose interest, right? After all, if you apply brakes, the car will eventually stop.
