Chapter Text
“Second chances doesn’t mean anything if you never learned the lessons of your first mistake.
So if you are lucky enough to be given one, make it count.”
*****
Eunho always thought the world would end with a bang. Not a quiet, drawn-out silence like Hamin’s last breath as if telling him goodbye.
Hamin had died protecting Yuna—Eunho’s twin sister. Not because she deserved it. Not because she asked for it. But because she was dating a guy who had darkness sewn into his skin, the kind of guy who smiled like a devil and left blood in his wake.
And Hamin, being the kind of person he was—honest, stupidly brave, and hopelessly in love with Yuna—stepped in the way of a knife meant for her.
Eunho watched it happen. Watched Hamin fall. Watched his own world split and crumble.
They said time heals, but grief isn't a wound. It's a haunting. Eunho stopped eating. Stopped talking. Stopped trying. Until he stood on the edge of a rooftop and made a choice he thought was his last.
Then he woke up.
Back in his old room. Posters on the wall. Homework on the desk. A faint morning sun filtering through the blinds. He checked his phone.
The date stared back at him: March 22 2015, exactly ten years ago.
Hamin was still alive.
And Eunho has a second chance.
Saving Hamin meant interfering, meddling, manipulating. It meant becoming someone he wasn’t.
But this time, he didn’t care.
Eunho loves Hamin, quietly, desperately, but knew he couldn’t afford to be selfish.
This wasn’t about getting Hamin to love him back.
It was about keeping him alive, whatever it takes.
