There was a small age Gap between Damien and Tim Tim was 17 and Damien was 15 they both went to Gotham Academy and most who seen them only at school what to think they had the perfect relationship in and out of school but little did they know Damien only got along with Tim at school and here's five times that they actually act like brothers to each other
Damian wayne is a stubborn asshole 9 times out of 10 so when tim the only Person in Gotham Academy that Damian will listen to got pulled out of his Algebra 2 class he figured it was because of Damien he followed behind the principle the dress shoes he wore as part of the school's uniform clicking against the floor he could hear Damian's yelling about halfway down the hallway Tim shook his head to himself Damian had hit some kid of course he had Tim grabs Damien by the shoulder once he's close enough to him gently guiding so now grumbling Damien to the nearest boys bathroom
Tim didn't Lecture just turned on one of the sinks and let Damien wash the blood off of his hand It was once Damien had finally tried his hands to Tim finally spoke up “good punch and i'm sure you had a good reason but don't do it at school” He gives Damien a quick pat on the back before heading back to his algebra 2 class on Damien's walk back to his algebra one class he finds a small coffee Werther's in his pocket Tim had slipped it in there knowing that they were Damien's favorite.

Damian absolutely refuse to make friends with civilians but he also refused to be an outsider in his own School so when lunch inevitably rolls around every single day he walks over and sits down at the end of Tim's table he sits there silently like a shadow the first time he did it everyone tried to make conversation with Damien but they quickly figured out that that wasn't the best course of action so Damien sat there in silence listening to the conversation is Tim chatted away with his friends After about a month of him sitting there he's slowly began adding to the conversation yet again it was very Damian way only making occasional grunts or adding comments normally one or two words but Tim internally called that a silent victory of Damian opening up.

Damien was very well capable of handling himself with bullies he would never admit it but he enjoyed when Tim would take matters into his own hands when Tim found out he was being bullied by an older kid Tim takes it into his own hands both as Red Robin and as Tim Drake at school Tim threatens the kid not him may look scrawny and lanky but everyone knew he was not one to mess with but as Red Robin he made sure to hack into the bully phone and sent the bully”s girlfriend where he was cheating And let's just say he stops bullying Damien after that. despite this of Tim being his protector at school they never let it change their home Dynamic the bickering on patrol bickering whenever picking small fights with each other ( mainly Damien picking fights) but at school Tim Drake was the big brother and Damian let him

When Tim started dating his boyfriend Damian didn't like it not because he was homophobic no Damien didn't mind the fact that Tim liked men no and Damien's brain and now meant he no longer had his protector though he would never admit it out loud his pride wouldn't allow that he tried to distance himself from Tim but of course it didn't work eventually Tim figured it out and knowing Damien's Pride would get in the way of him saying anything he made sure Damien sat with him at lunch with teasingly ruffle his hair when passing him in the hall. and every so often Damien would smile after small imperceptible smile a twitch of the corners of his lips and one morning stuck to his bathroom mirror messy but pristine cursive that could only belong to Tim it was a simple note that said “ ill always protect you little d” Little does Tim know that Damian kept that note in the back pocket of a SketchBook

Tim would often get in trouble at school for falling asleep in class because well not that anyone knew but he was Red Robin at night so he was often in detention after school Damien who had his license and could very well drive home by himself and leave Tim to walk back to Wayne Manor wouldn't he'd sit on the hood of the Rolls-Royce his foot scuffing against the ground tossing a pen up in the air or doodling in his SketchBook or texting one of the Teen Titans on his phone until Tim got out of detention and then Tim would drive them both back to Wayne Manor and as soon as they both stepped out of that car the bickering would begin Tim would never admit it out loud to anyone okay he would maybe admit it out loud to Jason but he enjoyed his time with Damien And little does Tim know Damian enjoys it too Having a sketch that's hidden deep within his closet I was older brother that he drew while waiting for him to get out of detention one day he'll never let anyone see that sketch ( exceptic dick because he cares about the older man's opinion)
I was the Small things that made them act like brothers bullies, homework, detention, Etc Damian seemed aloof and cold to everyone at school except his protector Tim Drake but they never acted like brothers at home always bickering. one morning though Tim wakes up to a pile of sketches filled with sketches of him and the rest of their family sitting on his desk with a little note attached to the pile of sketches
“your my Brother is much as I hate to admit it don't show these to anyone else or I will cut your head off tt - D. Wayne”
Tim never showed anyone he kept the sketches of all to himself in a drawer in his desk he looked at them at night when he was sad or when he needed to remember what family truly meant to him
