The Adventures We Build Together

Summary:

Little Kirishima and caregiver Bakugo. I wrote a lot of these while I was little so some parts might not make sense. Bakugo is so far out of character it’s not even funny 😭 I just wanted to write a caregiver that I’d want 😅. Each chapter takes place when Kirishima is little so the timeline is a little wonky and hard to follow sometimes. Sorry in advance. Also English is my first and only language so any spelling/grammar mistakes are just because I suck at it lol.

Chapter Text

Katsuki found out about Eijiro being a little by accident. He burst through the door to Eijiro’s room on Friday after his extra training session, “Oi! Shitty hair! Ready to -” He stopped in the doorway. Eijiro sat in the middle of his floor on his comforter in a plain red onesie with soft yellow sleeves and chest pocket and black shorts. He waved his plastic dinosaurs in the air above the fabric, making random roars. “Uh, Eijiro?” He whispered.

Eijiro looked over his shoulder, dropping both his smile and his toys. “Ka’su?” His eyes watered, “Ka’su out!” He whined loudly. No one was supposed to know. Katsuki quickly backed out. Eijiro rushed to his bed with his comforter to hide under his blanket, breathing rapidly.

Katsuki appeared again a few hours later, cracking the door open, “Ei?” The light from the hallway lit up a portion of the room. He spoke softly, locking the door behind himself, and turning on the bedside lamp. “Hey, are you okay?” He kneeled down next to the bed, red hair poking out of the Eijiro burrito.

He was half asleep, “Ka’su? Sorry.” His cheeks stained with dried tears and holding a medium Crimson Riot plush. “You go ‘way now?” He whimpered.

“Don’t apologize. Um… How… How old are you?” Katsuki wasn’t confident in how to help. “I’m not leaving you. I’m staying.”

“Thr-Four.” Eijiro looked down, sniffling.

“That’s okay. You can be younger if you need to. Do you need a pacifier? Or a sippy cup? I looked some stuff up, I just want to help you until you’re big enough to talk to me about this.”

“Mhm. Sippy there.” The red head pointed to the top of the mini fridge. “Don’ ‘ave a paci.”

“Alright. And what juice do you want? Do you like juice?”

“Purple, p’ease!” He sat up, grinning.

“Alright, Little One.” Katsuki fumbled in opening the sippy cup. Eijiro squealed happily at the nickname. Once the drink was poured into the clear cup with tiny blue carrots scattered about, the blonde walked back to the toddler. “Can I call you bunny?”

Ei giggled and snatched the juice, “Otay! Bun ‘s cute.”

“Tell me if you’re uncomfortable or need anything. Okay, bunny? I’m new to this and learning, so I may need some guidance.”  Katsuki ruffled Eijiro’s hair. “Were you bigger when I came by earlier?”

He nodded back, looking up, “Um… You daddy?” Eijiro buried his chin and mouth into the plush, blushing dark.

“Oh - I - Uh.” Katsuki stuttered. “I-I guess if you need to call me that.” He looked away, hands pressed firmly to the bottom of his pajama’s pockets. A moment of silence went by before Eijiro started to drink from his sippy cup. “So, what do you want to do?”

“Dinos?” Eijiro pointed at the toys scattered around.

“You want to play? Come on, kid, let’s go.” He picked up the red head with an gruntand carried him to the center of the room. “Which one is your favorite?” Katsuki set him down on his lap, crossing his legs loosely to give Eijiro a hole to sit in.

Eijiro scanned the blanket, grabbing at a few before settling on the Triceratops. “Da T-Rex ‘fraid ’f this ‘ne.”

“Woah, no way, the big and scary T-Rex is scared of the Triceratops? That makes him really manly, huh?”

Eijiro giggled and nodded, “An’ da spikes was da scary part!”

“He’s got spikes like you, baby.” Eijiro gasped and hugged the hard plastic. Katsuki smiled softly. “That’s awesome, Bunny.” He took a Stegosaurus, “Do you like this one?”

Eijiro aggressively shook his head and pouted, “ ‘E ‘s lame!”

“Why do you think so?”

He shrugged, “I don’ know…” Eijiro paused, looking up at Katsuki.

“That’s okay.” Katsuki ruffled his hair, “How long have you been little?”

“Since training.” Ei looked down, “ ‘Zuku ‘it me really really ‘ard an’ then Den mocked me.”

“It’s okay, baby. I’ve got you now. You come to me whenever you feel like you’re slipping, okay?” Katsuki brushed his hair away from his face and kissed Eijiro’s forehead while the little giggled and nodded. “Do you still hurt?”

“Daddy?” Eijiro tilted his head, puzzled.

“Shit. Sorry Ei.” Katsuki rubbed the spot with his thumb.

“Nu! More p’ease. Daddy’s kisses make me happy.” Eijiro turned and brought his forehead towards Katsuki’s mouth. He chuckled and peppered the baby’s face. Eijiro laughed and Katsuki couldn’t hold his smile back. “I don’t hurt lots.”

Katsuki gently caressed a deep purple bruise on Eijiro’s collarbone. “Does this hurt?” He only received a yelp and a whimper. Eijiro wrapped his arms tightly around Katsuki and buried his face in his neck. “I’m sorry. I just want to know where you hurt so I can give it healing kisses.”

“That doesn’ work, Daddy.” Eijiro giggled and laid his head flat on Katsuki’s chest.

“Yes it does. Kisses made your brain feel better, right? Daddy’s have super healing strength in our hugs and kisses.”
