Chapter Text
Ever since Jonathan had joined the school, he had always had an eye on Brandon.
He had originally thought he had no chance, but soon the shorter man opened up to him.
Brandon told him how he color coded his bow ties by the day, and Jonathan told him how annoying it was when kids complained his classroom was too cold.
Very slowly, they grew closer. And they both began to recognize that they had chemistry together.
Jonathan knew it was wrong.
But if Brandon shivered this way every time he adjusted the shorter man’s bowtie, then he didn’t want to be right. He wanted it to stay this way forever, crouched under the black-stone table with his hands fixing Brandon’s adorable mint green button-up shirt.
“We can’t be doing this,” Brandon whispered to him, looking up at Jonathan with those big brown eyes that reminded him of a deer’s.
“It’s four. No one will be here after school hours,” Jonathan reminded him. “We’re safe under here. No one will find out. You worry too much.”
Brandon made a face. “And you don’t worry at all. I have tests and quizzes and homework to grade. Don’t you? You must, with all this mess.” He pointed at the messy lab tables that were covered in glue from the slime lab the students had done.
“Calm down, Brandon,” Jonathan said. “For now, let’s just live in the moment. Enjoy this time with each other. With me.”
And so they did, arms wrapped around each other, utterly in love.
