Chapter 1: First Sight
Chapter Text
Wolves never worked well with humans.
That’s a fact Bam knows for sure.
Wolves survive on eating humans, so in order to survive the wolves have to go to the human’s territory and hunt them down.
Wolves can turn into humans and disguise themselves among the crowd.
Therefore, to prevent the wolves from eating them, humans often bring their guns or whatever weapon they have and go kill them.
It was a never ending cycle.
From a very young age, Bam was taught to hate wolves.
Zahard, his father, was a manager of a company that was very well known for their wolf fur coat. He had taught Bam on how to survive if he met a wolf alone in the forest.
Bam was always a soft person. He would have never dared to hurt anyone.
When the others went out hunting, he would stay behind and pick some stuff for lunch or do anything else.
Zahard told him many times that he could not be like this when there’s a wolf, he has to kill it. But Bam’s not sure, he will definitely hesitate.
It was fall, the leaves on the trees turned into all sorts of warm colors. Orange, red, and yellow filled the ground. The sun shining brightly from the sky. Warmness seeped into Bam, giving him energy.
Bam picked up a basket and made his way in the forest.
The forest was usually filled with hunters, as he approached the border. He noticed something that he hadn’t seen before.
It was a wall. The wall was about 5 meters tall and looked pretty sturdy.
It must have been built because of the wolves. Bam thought. He was about to get closer when he heard somebody’s voice.
“Hey Bam!”
Bam turned around and saw a brown hair girl. “Watcha doing here?”
Bam smiled, “Just looking around, you Endorsi?”
Endorsi was one of Bam’s friends. They grew up together and became very close.
Endorsi looked at the wall that Bam was staring at, “Noticed it huh? They finished building it just yesterday evening. It’s probably for the wolves.” She narrowed her eyes. “Annoying wolves, we wouldn’t have to build a wall if it weren't for them.”
Bam blinked, Endorsi also hated wolves. Instead of hating the wolves, Bam kinda felt bad for them. They need to survive just like us. It must’ve been hard on them too.
Bam never encountered a wolf before so he didn;t know how it feels for people who had. Most of them didn’t survive.
“Anyways!” Endorsi’s sudden voice snapped him out of his thoughts. “I’m going that way. Talk to you soon!”
“See you later Endorsi!” Bam watched as Endorsi disappeared in the distance before heading towards the wall. As he was near, he heard footsteps.
By the sound of footsteps it was close to him.
“Hello?” He called, his voice echos. “Anyone there?”
No answers.
Bam walked towards the direction of the sounds. And before he knew it he came face to face with a person and the world fell silent.

Chapter Text
For humans, the only food wolves ever eat are humans. But they actually eat more than that.
Wolf’s main diet is humans, but that’s only because of a lack of other prey in their land. Humans hunt in the wolves territory and always bring back handfuls of food. Rabbits, deers and a lot more. That’s why wolves have no choice but to eat them.
Khun was born in a family of wolves, which means he is a wolf himself.
Khun, his full name Khun Aguero Agnis, was born in the Khun Family.
The Khun family was one of the big families of wolves out there. They were known for their cockiness and their fashion.
His father Eduan, had many wives and as a result, Khun had many brothers and sisters.
His older sister Maschenny, is a large wolf with sleek hair and vivid blue eyes. She has pale-gray fur with a tint of blue.
Maschenny was very haughty and often lies a lot. But she loves her siblings a lot.
Kiesia, on the other hand, is Khun’s younger cousin. Her personality was a lot like Maschenny’s
But Kiseia tho, nevered like Khun.
Whenever Khun passed by, she would give him a cold look. Never bothered listening to him when he’s talking to her, always ignoring him when he desperately needs her attention, avoiding him at all cost. He was hated as if he was a thorn in her side.
Khun was trained at a young age on how to hunt and defend himself from humans if they had a weapon.
He had killed a few humans in his life and felt nothing for it.
Life was pretty normal until the humans built a wall.
“They did this to keep us away from their land.” Eduan growled. “We tried to break in but that wall is pretty sturdy, but we aren’t giving up yet.”
The next day, words got spread around that they broke the wall.
It was said that Maschenny was the one who did it, Maschenny managed to break a part of the wall. She only did it because there was a tiny crack.
The hole was pretty small, it probably was big enough for Khun to squeeze in.
Eduan stared at the small hole, “At least that’s something.” he paddle forward a bit. “Now we need to check if it’s safe out there.”
Eduan looked behind him at all his kids and frowned, Most of them were too big to be fit through the hole.
It leaves to just Khun and Ran.
Ran is Khun’s half brother, he is 14 and is a short, gray wolf and has a cold personality.
Khun is pretty close with Ran because they talk to each other often and hang out almost everyday.
Khun would never let Ran go out there since Khun’s very protective of him but Ran probably would want to go. Ran was a very young wolf, At least younger than Khun.
So before Ran could say anything, before anybody could say anything, Khun volunteered.
“I will go in there.”
His voice, loud and clear.
Everybody looked.
Ran stared at Khun, “I will go-”
“Then it will be too risky..” Khun quickly interrupts before Ran could finish. “I will go alone, it’s for the best.” He smiled at Ran. “I will be fine.”
“But A.A..”
Ran wanted to protest but Eduan spoke up. “Alright, we will be outside waiting for you.” He didn’t look at him. “Run out if you’re in danger.”
Ran sighed, if Eduan had already spoken, then there’s no point in arguing. “Alright, stay safe A.A.”
Khun smirked. “I will. Besides, I’m too smart to die out here anyway.”
Ran smiled and Khun headed towards the small hole through the wall.
He crouched and to his surprise he squeezed perfectly through the hole.
Khun looked around, all shades of warm colors swept in the air. Too familiar.
Then Khun heard rustles from nearby, He whipped his head around, eyes wide. Somebody’s nearby!
The rustle was then followed by a voice.
“Anybody there?”
Khun quickly changed into his human form and held his breath.
In his human form, he has pale blue hair with striking blue eyes. He is pretty handsome no matter which form he is. The only drawback is in his human form that can sell himself out is his wolf ears and tail.
Even as a human, traces of the wolf remained.
Khun had a cloak that went up to his knees, enough to cover his tail. He quickly put up
Khun was planning on running when he saw a human.
He was a boy, and looked about the same age as Khun. He had brown hair and golden eyes.
“Hi! Are you lost?” the brunet asked “People don’t usually come here.” He looked at him right in the eyes.
That’s because I’m not one! Of course Khun didn’t say that out loud. “Yeah, I traveled a bit too far.”
"I can't let this guy see the hole Maschenny made! Khun thought, using one of his legs, he gently moved a rock at the spot, it covered the hole perfectly. Khun felt relieved.
Back in the present, the boy smiled at Khun. “My name is The 25th Bam, but you can call me Bam.”
What a weird name.. “The name’s Khun.” He forced out a smile.
“Nice name! If you want, I can help you. I know this place very well.”
Khun glanced around, spotting a few people nearby. “Thanks then.”
Bam had dragged Khun through countless turns, but Khun kept track of where he’d come from.
As Khun followed Bam, he made a plan. I can kill him when there’s no one near, he looked pretty weak. So I probably can handle it.
Khun examined his surroundings. Other than Bam, there wasn’t anybody. Good. I can kill him now and take him back. Bam was chatting away, unaware about anything behind him.
Khun lunges and grabs Bam’s wrist.
Bam turned and looked at him, “Hm? Khun? Is anything wrong?”
Khun froze.
The innocent face. He couldn’t.
Khun released his grip on Bam, “Nothing.” He took a step back. Fuck, why can’t I do it? What’s wrong with me?!
“Khun.”
Khun jolted, and looked at Bam.
“My house is just near, my father’s probably in there,” Bam beamed. “I will ask him where you live.”
Khun couldn’t tell him that he didn’t live here, so he quickly changed the topic. “And who’s your father may I ask?”
“Zahard, he is the manager of a famous fur coat company!” Bam grins,
Khun froze, a chill went down his spine. Zarhard… He heard of that name before. His father had told him years ago. Zahard is our worst enemy. His father had said. Don’t let him see you no matter what.
I need to get out of here before he calls his father!
Bam started to walk to his house. “I will go ask my father. Wait here okay?” “I will go ask my father. Wait here, okay?” Bam turned around only to see an empty spot where Khun had been standing. “Khun?”
In the corner of his eye, he saw a glimpse of a wolf tail. When he rushed over to check, there was nothing but the rustling of leaves, and the quiet, empty forest.
e rustling of leaves, and the quiet, empty forest.

Chapter Text
Day passed by after Khun met Bam. He honestly didn’t know how to feel about it.
The moment Bam had his back turn against him that day. Khun had darted towards the wall where there's a hole almost immediately without hesitation, and as he expected, his family was out there waiting for him.
By the look of it, Khun had been out there for quite a while. They were all lying around, dozing and chatting to each other.
Ran was the first one to notice him.
He leaped up to his paws, “So how did it go A.A?” he greeted as he paddled towards Khun.
“Didn’t go as well as I expected.” Khun glanced back, “I saw a human.”
Maschenny shot up. “You saw a human?!” By then all of them noticed Khun. “Was it alone? Did you kill it?” She looked around to see nothing.
“No, it was with a few other people.” Of course Khun couldn’t let them know that he had the chance but let them go instead.
Eduan stood up and stretched, "Alright, we’re done here for today. We’ll head back and come tomorrow – no point chasing shadows in the dark."
As they were preparing to leave, Eduan came next to Khun.
“Hey, Aguero.”
Khun looked at Eduan, trying to keep his expression neutral.
“Yeah?”
Eduan leaned a bit forward, his causal voice had an unusually sharp tone underneath that made Khun a bit uncomfortable. “You’re going back out there tomorrow, understand?”
Khun thought for a moment, he certainly didn’t want to meet that boy again. But he couldn’t say no to his father.
“Haha, right,” he swallowed down the nervousness.
“Good.” Eduan swished his tail and led the pack, leaving Khun alone.
Khun shook and quickly caught up to Ran.
He would just plan everything later.
The rest of the day flew by in a blur.
And before Khun knew it, he was back at the same spot.
Today was a bit different from yesterday. Instead of being with his family, he was alone. Eduan thought it would
be better like this,
So just in case humans came, he wouldn’t have to be chased by guns. Khun thought, Great.
Ran did ask if he could come as well, Khun knew he was worried about him.
Khun was thinking of letting Ran go with him this time so he wouldn’t be so lonely and they could defend each other if they have to, but considering Eduan's opinion, Khun told him he would be fine by himself.
Hopefully I don’t see that Bam guy again. Khun sighed. Oh poor me!
Just as last time, Khun crouched down and went through the hole, fitting just perfectly.
The moment he’s in the territory, he changes into his human form.
Khun quickly put his hood on and made sure his tail was covered by the long cloak he settled off.
It was quite windy today, the wind made him shiver.
It wouldn’t have been this cold if he was in his wolf form. But turning into a wolf would be too risky.
He touched the rough texture of a tree trunk. It felt nice to feel stuff with hands every once in a while.
“Is that you Khun?”
He froze.
Oh shoot.
Khun turned his head slowly, only to see a familiar face.
Why’s he here?! And exactly at the moment I came?! Khun clenched his fists, his tail felt stiff. Can’t I just have some time alone?
“Hey!” Khun felt annoyed as he forced himself to walk towards Bam. “Sorry I ran off suddenly yesterday. I left something behind.”
Bam smiled, it was that one smile that made me stop. “No worry! I sometimes even forget my stuff on the way here.”
On the way here? Does that mean he comes here all the time? That thought made Khun tremble. What if his father sent him out here everyday?
Bam looked at him curiously, “Khun? You okay?” He tipped his head a bit, “You are kinda shaking.”
Khun blinked in surprise but quickly shook it off. “I’m fine.” He paused, “Thanks.”
It was kinda awkward for Khun to say thanks to a person he barely knows. But for Bam, it seems like they are already friends.
“Okay.”
It was then a brief moment of silence, Khun thought it was sort of awkward.
The wind grew a bit quieter.
Bam suddenly changed the topic. “I’m making some soup for lunch, wanna come with me? I can make some for you too! My cooking isn't that bad..”
Khun wanted to refuse but Bam’s eyes got him again, his innocent golden eyes was what made him heistate. If he refused, then Khun would have felt very bad, and in the end he sighed and agreed.
That made Bam very happy.
Khun walked with Bam for what felt like hours.
During that time, Bam kept talking with Khun.
Khun wasn't really used to this. Him, talking with a human. It was something he would have never imagined him doing.
Bam's conversations sounded so natural, laughing gently at some of the things Khun said.
He probably thinks I'm a human just like him. I bet he wouldn't act this way if he knew I was a wolf.
Bam was actually really good at chatting with someone.
Khun hated to admit it but he kinda enjoyed talking to Bam.
Wait, no. Not kinda, but did.
He did enjoy talking to Bam.
A bit later, Bam was heading back home and asked Khun if he wanted to stay for lunch but Khun denied.
If I stay here longer, the others will start questioning me.
After saying goodbye, Khun turned around and started to head back.
"Wait! Khun!"
Khun turned around and noticed Bam chasing after him.
"I forgot to ask, but you seem really nice. Do you want to be friends?"
Friends...
That word never occurred in Khun's mind. His past self would've said no but now....
"Sure."
Bam beamed, "See you tomorrow then! Same place."
After Bam left, Khun's mind swirled with one word. Friends.
He kinda liked that.
But tomorrow... His father would probably get suspicious if he comes back, but it wouldn't hurt to come again, right?
It's okay. He told himself. Just one more time Khun, just come back one more time and never come back ever again...
