Work Text:

Sunghoon’s eyes fluttered open, blinking sleepily against the gentle morning light seeping into the dormitory. He turned slightly, spotting Heeseung already awake, carefully stretching by his bed. Heeseung’s dark hair fell softly over his eyes, and the focused expression he wore made Sunghoon’s heart flutter—though he quickly pushed the thought aside.

"Heeseung hyung, you're up already?" Sunghoon's voice was soft, filled with genuine admiration and a hint of shyness he always felt around the older trainee.

Heeseung turned, his lips immediately forming a warm, affectionate smile. "Good morning, Hoonie. Couldn't sleep much, so I decided to practice early."

Sunghoon nodded, eyes filled with awe. Heeseung was always the hardest worker in I-LAND, his confidence and kindness making him someone everyone admired. Sunghoon had always looked up to him, viewing him like the perfect older brother he never had. Heeseung, in turn, seemed to genuinely care for Sunghoon, patiently guiding him whenever he struggled during rehearsals or comforting him whenever doubts crept in.

As Sunghoon rose from bed and started tidying up his blankets, Heeseung stepped closer, gently tousling Sunghoon’s already messy hair. “Did you sleep well? You looked pretty exhausted after practice last night.”

Sunghoon felt his cheeks heat up from the simple touch. He quickly looked down, hiding his blush. “I-I slept well, hyung. Thanks for worrying about me.”

Heeseung chuckled softly. “Of course, I have to take care of my favorite dongsaeng.”

Favorite dongsaeng. Sunghoon’s heart swelled with warmth. It felt safe, comforting even. Yet, recently, something felt different whenever Heeseung showed him this gentle affection. It confused Sunghoon, making his pulse quicken and causing him to blush too easily.

“Let’s practice together later today, okay? I'll help you with the choreography,” Heeseung added, giving Sunghoon's shoulder a reassuring squeeze.

Sunghoon nodded shyly, unable to meet Heeseung’s earnest gaze. “Y-yeah, hyung. I'd like that.”

Heeseung smiled warmly again, completely unaware of the effect he had on the younger boy. “Alright then. Let’s do our best today!”

As Heeseung walked away, leaving Sunghoon alone to get ready, Sunghoon took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. He knew he shouldn't feel this way, not toward someone he saw as an older brother figure. But despite his best efforts, Sunghoon knew deep down that his feelings for Heeseung were beginning to change into something more complicated—and something he wasn't sure he could keep hidden for long.

Sunghoon wiped his forehead, sweat dripping down his chin as he sat down heavily on the practice room floor, breathing heavily. Across from him, Heeseung was still standing, barely out of breath, eyes bright and energetic as always.

"You did great today, Sunghoon," Heeseung praised, grabbing two bottles of water from the corner and tossing one gently toward Sunghoon. "Seriously, you've improved a lot."

Sunghoon caught the water bottle clumsily, smiling shyly. "It’s because you always help me, hyung."

Heeseung sat down next to him, bumping their shoulders together affectionately. "I only help because you listen so well. Not everyone can take feedback like you do."

Sunghoon felt warmth spread through his chest at the praise. It was natural, he thought; he admired Heeseung immensely. Ever since they'd met in I-LAND, Heeseung had quickly become someone he could rely on—a hyung he trusted implicitly. Every compliment from Heeseung felt special, like validation he'd always hoped for.

"I'll keep trying," Sunghoon promised earnestly, meeting Heeseung’s steady gaze with determined eyes. "I'll make you proud."

"You already do," Heeseung replied with a gentle sincerity that made Sunghoon blush faintly. Sunghoon immediately lowered his eyes, fiddling nervously with the water bottle.

Heeseung chuckled softly, nudging him again. "Come on, let's go back. It’s getting late, and I think everyone's probably waiting."

Sunghoon nodded, pulling himself to his feet alongside Heeseung. As they walked back toward the dormitory, Sunghoon occasionally stole glances at Heeseung’s calm, reassuring expression. He admired everything about Heeseung—the way he effortlessly took charge during practice, the way he spoke kindly even when correcting someone, and how he was always mindful of others’ feelings. It was something Sunghoon aspired to emulate someday.

Yet, he thought it was just admiration—a strong bond, like family. He hadn't yet considered anything beyond the comfortable warmth of brotherly affection.

Back at the dorm, the trainees were already chatting loudly, tired yet full of energy as always. Sunghoon watched Heeseung step effortlessly into the group, immediately brightening the mood as he laughed and joked. Sunghoon smiled to himself, quietly observing from a short distance away.

"Hey, Sunghoon, come sit!" Jay called, waving him over.

He approached slowly, still feeling shy despite weeks together. Heeseung moved slightly, making room beside himself. "Sit here, Hoon."

Sunghoon gratefully took the seat next to Heeseung, immediately feeling comfortable with the older trainee's reassuring presence beside him.

"What were you two practicing so long?" Jake teased playfully, raising his eyebrows dramatically. "You're always stuck together lately."

Heeseung rolled his eyes good-naturedly. "Sunghoon wanted some extra practice with the choreo. He's working really hard."

Sunghoon felt embarrassment flood his cheeks, ducking his head shyly. "I'm still behind though."

"Nonsense," Heeseung insisted immediately, gently bumping his shoulder again. "You've caught up a lot. Be confident."

Sunghoon nodded shyly, unable to stop the warmth from spreading in his chest again at the older boy’s encouragement.

He felt safe whenever Heeseung was there—he wasn’t sure why exactly, but it was something he had quickly grown accustomed to. He trusted Heeseung completely, feeling protected and cared for, just like he imagined it would feel to have a real older brother.

Later that night, as Sunghoon lay in bed, he found his thoughts drifting again to practice earlier. He replayed Heeseung’s voice, patient and gentle, correcting his posture and guiding his movements carefully. He remembered the proud look on Heeseung’s face when he'd finally gotten it right.

Sunghoon closed his eyes, smiling faintly to himself.

"Hyung..." he whispered softly to no one, grateful yet embarrassed even at the memory of the praise he'd received.

At that moment, Heeseung shifted in his sleep from the next bed over, mumbling quietly before falling still again. Sunghoon chuckled softly, thinking how lucky he felt to have found someone he could lean on so deeply here in I-LAND. He knew he wouldn't have come this far without Heeseung’s constant support and guidance.

For now, that feeling remained simple and uncomplicated. It was just admiration, just a close brotherly bond. Sunghoon never once questioned the deeper reason why his heart sped up slightly whenever Heeseung praised him, or why he felt oddly shy around him more than anyone else.

He just believed, wholeheartedly, that Heeseung was someone special in his life. The thought of anything beyond that never even crossed his mind.

Sunghoon drifted off to sleep, smiling gently, perfectly content with the comforting thought that Heeseung hyung was always by his side.

Sunghoon's days in I-LAND fell into a comforting rhythm. Each morning he awoke beside his fellow trainees, each afternoon he spent tirelessly practicing choreography, and each evening he found himself quietly observing Heeseung with a mix of awe and admiration.

Weeks passed steadily, but Sunghoon still hadn't fully grasped why he was drawn to Heeseung more than anyone else. To him, it was simple: Heeseung represented everything he aspired to be—talented, reliable, composed, and warm-hearted. The older trainee’s presence gave Sunghoon an anchor amidst the constant pressure of competition.

Heeseung, meanwhile, found it increasingly natural to watch out for Sunghoon. He admired the younger boy’s dedication, quietly marveling at how much Sunghoon had grown. If Sunghoon stumbled, Heeseung was quick to help him up. If Sunghoon felt down, Heeseung effortlessly coaxed him back into confidence. Without either boy realizing it, their bond grew stronger and warmer with every passing day.

One afternoon, the trainees gathered around to hear the latest mission announcement. Sunghoon felt his nerves spike at the thought of performing yet another challenging routine. As he listened carefully, he instinctively glanced toward Heeseung, noticing how calm and confident he appeared, shoulders squared with determination.

Once the meeting ended, Sunghoon quietly approached him, eyes downcast shyly. “Hyung, could we practice together again later?”

Heeseung smiled softly, nodding immediately. “Of course. Let’s meet after dinner, okay?”

“Okay,” Sunghoon agreed quietly, heart fluttering gently at the older boy’s reassuring tone.

That evening in the empty practice room, the air felt slightly cooler than usual. Sunghoon stretched nervously, watching Heeseung stretch his muscles. Even after so many private practice sessions, Sunghoon still felt slightly self-conscious whenever they were alone.

“Are you ready?” Heeseung asked gently, standing beside him, posture perfectly straight and composed as always.

Sunghoon swallowed nervously. “Yes, hyung.”

They began practicing, Sunghoon closely mirroring each of Heeseung’s precise movements. Every so often, Heeseung paused to gently correct Sunghoon’s position, his touch calm yet firm, radiating patience that never ceased to amaze the younger boy.

“Raise your arms slightly higher, here,” Heeseung instructed, stepping closer and carefully adjusting Sunghoon’s posture. The younger trainee’s breath caught involuntarily at the closeness, warmth spreading across his cheeks without him knowing why.

“T-Thank you,” Sunghoon mumbled shyly, eyes fixed on the ground.

Heeseung chuckled softly, giving Sunghoon’s shoulder an affectionate squeeze. “You’re doing great. Just trust yourself a little more.”

Sunghoon nodded, feeling a rush of determination surge through him at the older boy’s encouragement.

They practiced until exhaustion seeped deeply into their bones, yet neither complained. As they finally rested, breathing heavily against the mirrors, Sunghoon stole a glance at Heeseung, who was smiling slightly, proud yet humble, even now.

“Hyung,” Sunghoon spoke softly, breaking the comfortable silence, “How do you always stay so confident?”

Heeseung turned, thoughtful eyes meeting Sunghoon’s shy gaze. “I just try my best to trust myself. And…” He hesitated, then continued gently, “I guess it helps knowing people I care about believe in me, too.”

Sunghoon’s heart skipped lightly at those words. “I definitely believe in you, hyung.”

Heeseung smiled warmly, a gentle fondness in his eyes. “I believe in you too, Hoon. More than you realize.”

Sunghoon’s heart fluttered again, but he quickly pushed the strange sensation away, telling himself it was only pride and gratitude—nothing more.

Days turned to weeks, the routines grew increasingly complex, and tensions rose within I-LAND. Through it all, Sunghoon and Heeseung remained close, finding quiet moments of comfort in their private rehearsals.

Gradually, Sunghoon began noticing small things about Heeseung he’d never paid attention to before—the way his eyes narrowed in gentle concentration, how his voice softened when reassuring others, or even how he carefully adjusted his hair away from his forehead after a particularly strenuous practice.

But Sunghoon still didn’t understand why he found these small details important. He assumed it was merely admiration, a younger brother’s innocent awe for his talented hyung.

One evening, after another tiring practice, Sunghoon sat beside Heeseung, silently drinking water, shoulders brushing gently. He felt strangely warm yet completely comfortable beside the older boy.
“You’re really tired today, huh?” Heeseung asked quietly, turning slightly toward Sunghoon, concern etched gently across his features.

Sunghoon smiled weakly. “Just a bit.”

Without another word, Heeseung placed a comforting hand on Sunghoon’s shoulder, squeezing gently. “You’re doing really well. Don’t push yourself too hard.”

Sunghoon’s heart thumped softly at the older boy’s gentle touch, confusion briefly flickering through his mind. He brushed it aside, though, dismissing it as exhaustion and gratitude mixing oddly within him.

“Thank you, hyung. I won’t disappoint you.”

Heeseung laughed softly, shaking his head. “You never could, Hoon.”

That night, back in the dormitory, Sunghoon stared at the dark ceiling again, sleepless thoughts drifting aimlessly. He replayed Heeseung’s gentle encouragement from earlier, the lingering warmth of the older boy’s touch still faintly present on his shoulder. He knew he admired Heeseung—he always had—but something tonight felt subtly different. Sunghoon’s heart was strangely restless, like something he couldn’t yet put into words had changed between them. Yet he quickly pushed these vague feelings aside. It didn’t make sense, he reasoned. Heeseung was just his hyung, someone he admired deeply. That was all there was to it. Still, as Sunghoon drifted slowly into sleep, he couldn’t help but wonder why tonight, more than ever, he wanted nothing more than to hear Heeseung’s reassuring voice again.
He convinced himself it was merely because Heeseung was the brother figure he’d always wanted—the one person who understood him completely. It had to be that, and nothing more. But, unknown to Sunghoon, something deeper had begun to awaken—something gentle, confusing, and impossible to ignore forever.

Sunghoon woke up earlier than usual the next morning, feeling restless but unsure why. He rubbed his eyes slowly, blinking into the dim glow of dawn filtering through the windows of the dormitory. The quiet breathing of his fellow trainees echoed softly around him, everyone else still fast asleep. He let his gaze drift to Heeseung, noticing how peaceful the older boy looked as he slept. For some reason, Sunghoon smiled faintly, comforted by the simple sight. Quietly, he slipped from bed and walked out into the hallway, stretching his stiff muscles. He decided to go to the practice room alone, wanting to shake off his restlessness by practicing the choreography from yesterday. Sunghoon moved quietly down the hallway, turning the corner when he heard footsteps softly approaching. He looked up, eyes widening in surprise.

“Heeseung hyung?” Sunghoon whispered in confusion, seeing the older trainee already dressed in practice clothes.

Heeseung smiled warmly, clearly surprised too. "You're up early, Hoon."

"I couldn't sleep," Sunghoon admitted shyly. "I thought I'd practice."

"Same here," Heeseung laughed softly. "Want some company?"

Sunghoon nodded immediately, feeling comforted by Heeseung’s presence, grateful that even this early, he wasn't alone. They walked together in comfortable silence to the practice room. Heeseung hummed softly beside him, a habit Sunghoon had come to associate with moments when Heeseung felt relaxed. Sunghoon found himself smiling unconsciously at the sound. When they arrived, Sunghoon began quietly stretching as Heeseung set up the music. The older trainee joined him moments later, effortlessly easing into each stretch.

“Hyung,” Sunghoon spoke quietly, still lost in thought as he stretched, “do you ever get nervous?”

Heeseung paused thoughtfully, giving Sunghoon a gentle look. "Of course, everyone does. But I guess I just hide it well."

Sunghoon smiled shyly, reassured. "You always seem so composed."

Heeseung chuckled gently, ruffling Sunghoon’s hair affectionately. "Trust me, I'm not as composed as you think. But when you believe in yourself, nervousness fades away a little."

Sunghoon nodded slowly, absorbing Heeseung’s words. “I wish I could be more like you, hyung.”

Heeseung’s eyes softened. "You don't have to be like me, Sunghoon. Just be yourself. You're perfect the way you are."

Sunghoon’s heart fluttered gently again, warmth spreading across his cheeks. He quickly looked away, unsure why the older boy’s gentle praise affected him so deeply. Yet he felt comforted, reassured that whatever it was, it must be normal to admire someone as kind and talented as Heeseung.

Over the following days, Sunghoon began unconsciously seeking Heeseung out more often, quietly watching him during practice, subtly mimicking his behavior and even small habits, like how Heeseung gently tapped his foot while listening to the music.

One evening, as everyone was winding down from another exhausting day, Sunghoon quietly sat next to Heeseung again. He didn't say anything, simply content to be near the older boy’s reassuring presence.

"Are you alright, Hoonie?" Heeseung asked softly, noticing Sunghoon’s quietness. His gentle voice instantly drew Sunghoon’s gaze.

"Yes," Sunghoon replied shyly, unable to fully meet Heeseung’s concerned eyes. "Just tired, hyung."

Heeseung smiled softly. "You should rest early tonight."

Sunghoon nodded obediently, feeling strangely comforted by the simple exchange. The older boy’s presence always eased his mind, no matter what troubled him.

Days turned quietly into weeks, and Sunghoon’s admiration for Heeseung grew deeper, though still entirely unnoticed by himself. He believed it was perfectly normal to feel such admiration and warmth toward someone he viewed as a brother figure. Yet, subtle changes began to show. He started becoming shy and awkward around Heeseung more frequently, often stumbling over his words or blushing when Heeseung praised him. Each time it happened, Sunghoon brushed it off as simple embarrassment or admiration—never allowing himself to question deeper meanings.

One evening, after practice, Sunghoon stood outside alone, breathing in the fresh night air. He closed his eyes briefly, enjoying the quietness after another exhausting day.
"Sunghoon?"

He startled slightly at the familiar voice, turning to see Heeseung approaching, eyes full of gentle concern. "What are you doing out here alone?"

Sunghoon smiled shyly. "Just taking a break."

Heeseung joined him, standing quietly beside him, hands tucked into his pockets. The silence between them felt comfortable, easy, filled with mutual understanding.

"You've come really far, Sunghoon," Heeseung said suddenly, glancing gently at the younger trainee. "I'm proud of you."

Sunghoon’s breath caught again. He quickly lowered his gaze, hiding his reddening cheeks. "It's all thanks to you, hyung."

Heeseung shook his head softly, smiling. "No. It’s because you're strong and determined. I just wanted you to know I noticed."

Warmth blossomed softly inside Sunghoon’s chest, his pulse quickening slightly. Still, he brushed it away, convincing himself again it was just gratitude.

"Thank you, hyung," Sunghoon whispered, voice barely audible. "I'll keep doing my best."

Heeseung smiled affectionately, gently patting Sunghoon's shoulder. "Good. I'll always support you."

Sunghoon felt his cheeks flush slightly again, confusion momentarily flickering through his mind. But he quickly reassured himself—Heeseung was just his admired hyung, nothing more complicated than that.

That night, Sunghoon lay awake again, heart restless but not yet fully understanding why. He kept replaying Heeseung’s soft words and gentle gaze in his mind, wondering why something so simple stirred him so deeply.

He convinced himself it was only admiration—just a younger brother’s respect for his older hyung. It made sense to him, though deep down, something was subtly changing—slowly, silently, and beautifully unfolding.

But tonight, Sunghoon didn't understand that yet.

Life in I-LAND passed swiftly, each day filled with rigorous practices, intense evaluations, and quiet moments in between. Sunghoon continued to cling to his comfortable, familiar routine—practice, listen to Heeseung’s guidance, quietly admire him, and fall asleep each night reassured by his hyung’s comforting presence nearby.

He hadn't yet recognized the subtle shift in his own behavior. Sunghoon began finding himself naturally gravitating toward Heeseung at any given moment—sitting closer during meals, unconsciously searching for him first whenever he entered a room, and occasionally feeling oddly unsettled if Heeseung was not nearby.

To Sunghoon, none of this felt unusual. He rationalized it as admiration, friendship, brotherhood—things he'd always lacked before I-LAND. It simply felt good having someone he trusted so completely.

One afternoon, after a particularly difficult evaluation, Sunghoon sat alone in the corner of the practice room, feeling discouraged and mentally drained. His performance hadn’t been as strong as he’d hoped, and his frustration was clear as he rested his forehead against his knees, hiding his expression from the others. He barely noticed someone quietly approaching until a gentle hand rested softly on his back, warmth radiating comfort. Sunghoon instantly recognized the touch.

“Hyung...” he mumbled softly, not lifting his head.

Heeseung knelt beside him quietly, his voice soft and calming. “It’s okay, Sunghoon. Don’t be so hard on yourself.”

Sunghoon slowly lifted his head, meeting Heeseung’s patient gaze. His cheeks flushed faintly at how earnest and caring the older boy’s eyes were. “I messed up.”

Heeseung’s expression softened further as he gently rubbed Sunghoon’s back in reassurance. “We all make mistakes. One evaluation doesn’t define you. You’re talented, Sunghoon—I know it, everyone knows it.”

Sunghoon looked down shyly, heart beating a bit faster at Heeseung’s sincere words. He didn’t fully understand why such simple reassurance meant so much to him, but the heaviness in his chest slowly lifted, replaced by a comforting warmth.

“Thank you, hyung,” Sunghoon whispered, voice thick with emotion. “I’ll try harder next time.”

“I know you will,” Heeseung smiled warmly, squeezing Sunghoon’s shoulder gently. “And I’ll always be here to help you.”

Sunghoon nodded slowly, eyes filled with quiet admiration and gratitude, oblivious to the deeper reason why his pulse quickened slightly whenever Heeseung spoke to him like this.

Later that evening, unable to sleep, Sunghoon quietly slipped out onto the terrace overlooking the peaceful grounds of I-LAND. The cool air soothed him as he leaned against the railing, lost in thought.

“Can’t sleep again?”

Sunghoon turned in surprise, heart fluttering lightly when he saw Heeseung standing there in comfortable pajamas, a gentle smile on his lips.

Sunghoon’s voice softened instinctively. “Yeah... I guess I have a lot on my mind.”

Heeseung joined him quietly, leaning casually against the railing. “Want to talk about it?”

Sunghoon hesitated briefly before speaking shyly. “I’m just... worried, I guess. About whether I’m really good enough to be here.”

Heeseung listened quietly, gaze gentle and understanding. After a moment, he placed a comforting hand on Sunghoon’s shoulder again, a familiar gesture that never failed to reassure the younger boy.
“You wouldn’t be here if you weren’t,” Heeseung replied softly, voice full of quiet conviction. “I’ve watched you grow so much since the beginning. I’m honestly proud of you, Hoonie.”

Sunghoon blushed softly again, ducking his head shyly. His heart felt oddly restless, stirring gently inside his chest at Heeseung’s quiet praise. He dismissed it quickly, assuming it was just embarrassment and gratitude.

“You’ve always supported me,” Sunghoon murmured quietly, unable to look directly at Heeseung. “I’m grateful, hyung.”

Heeseung chuckled warmly. “That’s what hyungs are for.”

Sunghoon glanced up hesitantly, eyes meeting Heeseung’s gentle gaze again. The older trainee’s soft expression made Sunghoon’s pulse flutter once more—yet again, he pushed it away, not yet ready or willing to examine the unfamiliar warmth building within him.

Instead, he smiled shyly, simply grateful that Heeseung cared so much. That, he believed, was all it was—simple gratitude for having someone he deeply trusted.

As the weeks continued, these quiet exchanges became more frequent. Sunghoon found himself increasingly drawn to Heeseung’s calm presence, often searching him out after practice, sitting beside him during quiet evenings, or silently sharing space without needing to say a word.

Each time, Sunghoon felt an unexplainable warmth whenever Heeseung smiled at him or praised him. Still, he never questioned it deeply, continuing to believe that it simply natural to feel such closeness to someone he admired.

Heeseung, too, continued looking after Sunghoon gently, always attentive and reassuring, unaware of the younger boy’s subtle shifts in behavior. To him, Sunghoon was still his adorable younger trainee—someone he sincerely enjoyed caring for and encouraging.

One night, after practice, the trainees relaxed together in the dormitory. Sunghoon found himself seated beside Heeseung, quietly sipping water as the older boy chatted warmly with Jake and Jay.
Sunghoon quietly watched Heeseung’s gentle expressions, noticing small details he hadn't before—the soft curve of his smile, the way his eyes crinkled slightly when he laughed, the calming tone of his voice.

Without realizing, Sunghoon’s heartbeat quickened slightly, warmth spreading through his chest again. Confused, he quickly looked away, cheeks flushing faintly. Why am I feeling so strange? Sunghoon wondered briefly, quickly dismissing the thought as just tiredness or admiration.

“Sunghoon, are you okay?” Heeseung suddenly asked, noticing his silence.

Sunghoon startled slightly, turning to meet Heeseung’s gentle, concerned gaze. “O-oh, yes. Sorry, hyung, I was just spacing out.”

Heeseung laughed softly, patting Sunghoon’s knee affectionately. “You should get some rest. You’ve worked hard today.”

Sunghoon’s cheeks grew warmer at Heeseung’s gentle touch, confusion briefly flickering through him again. He nodded shyly, standing quietly. “I will. Goodnight, hyung.”

“Goodnight, Sunghoon,” Heeseung replied warmly, eyes gentle and caring.

Sunghoon quietly walked to bed, heart still fluttering slightly in confusion, unsure why tonight Heeseung’s simple kindness affected him more strongly than usual.

But as he lay quietly in bed, Sunghoon dismissed those confusing thoughts again, still convinced it was simply deep admiration and gratitude—nothing more.

Yet somewhere within him, something quiet and unfamiliar had begun gently stirring, slowly becoming impossible to ignore, no matter how hard Sunghoon tried to deny it.

The days at I-LAND grew more intense, practice sessions becoming longer, tensions higher, and each trainee feeling the pressure. Amidst the chaos, Sunghoon clung tightly to his quiet, comfortable routine of leaning on Heeseung’s guidance. But something subtle had begun to shift—not just in Sunghoon, but also in Heeseung, who was growing more attentive, even possessive, of the younger trainee’s presence.

It started with small gestures—Heeseung unconsciously guiding Sunghoon by the wrist whenever they moved through crowded halls, gently resting his hand on Sunghoon’s lower back during practices, or pulling him closer when other trainees teased or joked around.

Sunghoon remained shyly unaware of how often Heeseung touched him, his mind still innocently believing these actions were purely brotherly care. But their fellow trainees began noticing the slight possessiveness, though no one commented openly.

One afternoon during a group practice session, the trainees gathered to practice a particularly demanding choreography. Sunghoon struggled briefly with a complicated move, causing Jay to step forward, attempting to help.

“No, like this, Sunghoon,” Jay began gently, stepping in to correct him.

But before Jay could fully demonstrate, Heeseung instinctively moved forward, gently but firmly placing his hand on Sunghoon’s shoulder and pulling him slightly closer, away from Jay’s reach.
“I've got it, Jay,” Heeseung’s voice was calm yet carried a subtle note of authority, eyes protective. “I’ll help him.”

Jay hesitated, surprised at Heeseung’s slight possessiveness, but quickly nodded. “Alright, hyung.”

Sunghoon felt his heart flutter softly at Heeseung’s touch, but quickly brushed the thought aside, quietly watching Heeseung’s movements as the older boy patiently demonstrated the steps.
“Like this, Sunghoon,” Heeseung guided softly, gently taking Sunghoon’s hand to position it correctly, fingertips lingering slightly longer than necessary.

Sunghoon’s cheeks flushed faintly at the gentle yet firm grip, heart suddenly pounding lightly. He looked down, shy and confused at his reaction, yet he said nothing, silently enjoying the reassuring closeness.

That evening, the trainees relaxed in the common area, chatting and joking casually. Sunghoon sat quietly, comfortably settled beside Heeseung. Without realizing it, Heeseung had placed his arm loosely over the back of the couch, lightly brushing Sunghoon’s shoulder every now and then.

“Hyung, you’re really attached to Sunghoon these days,” Jake teased good-naturedly, raising his eyebrows playfully.

Heeseung chuckled softly, eyes briefly meeting Sunghoon’s before turning back to Jake with a slight protective undertone. “Someone has to look after him. You guys tease him too much.”

Sunghoon blushed softly, ducking his head shyly as warmth filled his chest again, confused but comforted by Heeseung’s possessive yet caring tone. He leaned subtly closer to Heeseung, unconsciously seeking the older boy’s reassuring warmth.

Over the next several days, Heeseung’s gentle possessiveness became even more evident. He unconsciously kept Sunghoon close, touching him gently whenever he got the chance—fixing Sunghoon’s messy hair, gently guiding him by the shoulder whenever they walked together, or brushing Sunghoon’s hand lightly when passing him water bottles during breaks.

Each small touch caused Sunghoon’s heart to flutter softly, confusion deepening without him fully acknowledging why.

Late one night, unable to sleep, Sunghoon wandered quietly into the empty practice room, lost in thought. He was startled to find Heeseung already there, quietly stretching in the soft glow of the dim lights.
“Heeseung hyung?” Sunghoon whispered shyly, surprised but immediately comforted by the older boy’s presence.

Heeseung turned, a gentle smile spreading across his lips at the sight of Sunghoon. “Can’t sleep again?”

Sunghoon nodded slowly, stepping closer. “Neither can you?”

Heeseung shrugged softly. “Just felt restless.”

Sunghoon hesitated briefly, then moved shyly beside Heeseung to stretch quietly as well. The silence felt comfortable, soothing.

After a moment, Heeseung gently reached out, carefully helping Sunghoon deepen a stretch, hands warm and steady on the younger boy’s back. Sunghoon’s breath caught slightly, heartbeat quickening under Heeseung’s gentle yet firm touch.

“Relax,” Heeseung whispered softly, leaning slightly closer. “You’re always so tense lately.”

Sunghoon blushed again, shyly nodding, unable to speak. Heeseung’s hands remained steady and warm, comforting yet causing Sunghoon’s heart to flutter softly again.
“I just...want to do well,” Sunghoon mumbled shyly, embarrassed at how close Heeseung stood.

“You already are,” Heeseung replied gently, affectionately squeezing Sunghoon’s shoulders, standing protectively close. “Stop worrying so much.”

Sunghoon nodded again, warmth spreading across his chest, confusion gently swirling within. He didn’t fully understand why his hyung’s simple words and touches affected him this deeply, yet he quietly enjoyed the comfort Heeseung provided.

Days passed, and Heeseung’s protective behavior slowly intensified. He felt oddly unsettled whenever other trainees tried helping Sunghoon, instinctively stepping in to care for Sunghoon himself. He couldn’t quite explain why—he only knew it felt natural, right, and somehow necessary.

Sunghoon, meanwhile, continued quietly enjoying Heeseung’s increased attention, innocently unaware of the deeper feelings blossoming beneath their comfortable friendship.

One evening, after practice, Sunghoon stood alone outside the dormitory, quietly enjoying the cool air. Heeseung soon appeared, stepping comfortably close, silently joining Sunghoon by the railing.
“You’ve seemed distracted lately,” Heeseung murmured softly after a quiet pause, eyes gentle yet watchful.

Sunghoon glanced shyly at the older trainee, heart skipping softly. “Maybe a little. Just...thinking a lot.”

“About what?” Heeseung asked softly, moving slightly closer, their arms gently brushing.

Sunghoon blushed faintly, unable to meet Heeseung’s eyes. “Just...about everything. Whether I’m really doing well enough.”

“You are,” Heeseung reassured gently, voice soft yet possessive. He reached out again, gently but firmly placing his hand on Sunghoon’s shoulder, thumb softly brushing over the younger boy’s collarbone. “Don’t doubt yourself so much.”

Sunghoon’s pulse quickened sharply, heart fluttering wildly at Heeseung’s gentle yet confident touch. Still confused but comforted, Sunghoon nodded quietly, shyly leaning closer into Heeseung’s reassuring warmth.

Heeseung’s eyes softened, hand remaining protectively on Sunghoon’s shoulder. “You know you can always lean on me, right?”

Sunghoon nodded shyly again, heart racing softly. “I know, hyung. Thank you.”

Heeseung smiled warmly, squeezing gently once more, their bodies still comfortably close. Neither spoke further, simply standing quietly together, lost in a comforting, gentle silence that neither boy fully understood yet.

One afternoon during practice, Sunghoon sat quietly to the side, taking a short break. He silently watched Heeseung demonstrating choreography to the others, feeling warmth fill his chest at how composed and confident the older boy looked. Sunghoon’s pulse quickened unconsciously, confused by why simply watching Heeseung made his heartbeat flutter so strongly.

“Sunghoon, your face is red,” Jake teased lightly, nudging him gently. “You okay?”

Sunghoon startled slightly, quickly ducking his head shyly. “Y-yeah, just hot.”

He glanced back up briefly, noticing Heeseung watching him carefully from across the room, eyes quietly protective. Sunghoon felt his cheeks flush deeper, quickly looking away again.

Later that night, unable to sleep once more, Sunghoon wandered into the empty kitchen, hoping a cold glass of water might clear his restless thoughts. He jumped slightly when he saw Heeseung already there, quietly sipping tea by himself.

“Heeseung hyung,” Sunghoon mumbled softly, shy and surprised. “Can’t sleep either?”

Heeseung smiled softly, eyes gentle as he motioned for Sunghoon to sit beside him. “I’ve had a lot on my mind.”

Sunghoon sat down slowly, heart fluttering again at the older boy’s gentle gaze. Silence fell between them for a moment, comfortable yet strangely charged with unspoken tension.

“Hyung, are you worried about something?” Sunghoon finally asked quietly, curiosity overcoming his shyness briefly.

Heeseung hesitated, thoughtfully meeting Sunghoon’s shy, concerned eyes. “Sort of. I’ve just...been feeling different lately.”

Sunghoon tilted his head slightly, confused yet intrigued. “Different?”

Heeseung smiled softly, gently touching Sunghoon’s hand briefly on the table, his fingertips warm against Sunghoon’s skin. Sunghoon’s heart jumped sharply, face instantly turning red at the unexpected contact.

“Sorry,” Heeseung whispered gently, pulling his hand away quickly, embarrassed. “I didn’t mean to—”

“No, it’s okay,” Sunghoon interrupted softly, voice shy yet sincere. His eyes lowered nervously. “I...don’t mind.”

Heeseung’s pulse quickened gently at Sunghoon’s shy response, warmth blooming softly within him. Neither fully understood why something so simple made them both feel so nervous yet strangely happy.

Over the next days, Sunghoon’s quiet realization of his shifting feelings slowly took form. His heart reacted differently whenever Heeseung was near—he found himself craving the older boy’s attention, yet feeling overwhelmingly shy when he received it. He began avoiding Heeseung’s gaze more often, too nervous to look him directly in the eyes, yet constantly aware of the older boy’s comforting presence.
Heeseung also became subtly aware of his growing feelings, though he tried hard to deny them. He grew slightly distant, afraid that his possessiveness toward Sunghoon might become too obvious, fearing what the younger boy might think. Their interactions with the other trainees remained unchanged. Heeseung easily joked and talked with Jake, Jay, Jungwon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki, but whenever Sunghoon approached, he felt his calmness slip, replaced by a nervousness he’d never known before.

One evening, after practice, Sunghoon sat quietly alone, eyes thoughtfully distant. Jungwon approached gently, concern evident in his soft expression.

“Sunghoon hyung, you’ve seemed quiet lately. Are you alright?”

Sunghoon glanced up, startled but smiling faintly. “Yeah... just thinking.”

Jungwon hesitated briefly before softly adding, “You seem different around Heeseung hyung lately.”

Sunghoon’s eyes widened slightly, cheeks flushing quickly. “D-different?”

“Yeah,” Jungwon smiled softly, understanding but choosing his words carefully. “You seem nervous around him now. Did something happen?”

Sunghoon shook his head quickly, blushing deeper. “No, it’s nothing... I’m just tired lately.”

But as he spoke, Sunghoon’s heart pounded softly in his chest, realizing Jungwon was right—something indeed had changed.

Late that night, Sunghoon lay awake again, heart restless. He quietly replayed Jungwon’s words, finally letting himself question what exactly had changed between himself and Heeseung. Slowly, carefully, Sunghoon allowed himself to recall each gentle touch, possessive gesture, or reassuring word from Heeseung. His heartbeat quickened again, finally, slowly understanding the strange warmth he felt—was it possible he had begun seeing Heeseung as more than just an older brother? Sunghoon’s breath hitched softly in realization, heart racing nervously as emotions gently spilled into his consciousness—embarrassment, shyness, fear, and quiet longing.

Meanwhile, Heeseung lay awake as well, unable to dismiss thoughts of Sunghoon. Each moment replayed in his mind—every gentle smile, shy blush, nervous glance. Heeseung finally realized why he had become possessive of Sunghoon—because he felt something far stronger than simple brotherly affection.

“I can’t...” Heeseung whispered softly, fear clenching his heart. “I shouldn’t.”

Yet, despite his doubts, his heart betrayed him, stubbornly longing for the shy, gentle boy who trusted him completely.

The next day, their interactions shifted noticeably again. Both boys became painfully aware of each other’s presence, yet now nervousness filled their every exchange. Sunghoon avoided eye contact, cheeks constantly warm whenever Heeseung spoke to him. Heeseung hesitated before every touch, uncertain yet still instinctively possessive.Their relationships with the other trainees stayed friendly and unchanged—warm, casual, uncomplicated—but between Heeseung and Sunghoon, a new, quiet tension grew stronger each passing moment.

Neither spoke openly of their realizations, both afraid and uncertain. Yet their hearts quietly acknowledged the truth—their feelings had changed, deepened, and become undeniable. Their brotherly bond was gently unraveling, slowly blossoming into something more precious, more beautiful, but also far more frightening—something neither boy felt ready to fully confront, yet neither could truly deny.
Days turned into weeks, and Sunghoon found himself quietly tormented by his newly discovered feelings. He grew increasingly shy and distant around Heeseung, heart racing painfully fast whenever the older boy was near. Even the smallest interaction left him anxious and breathless.

Sunghoon finally realized why his emotions had become so complicated—he had fallen for Heeseung. It was no longer admiration or simple friendship; it was something deeper, warmer, and far more terrifying. He tried desperately to hide it, yet it seemed impossible to control the fluttering in his chest whenever Heeseung smiled, spoke, or touched him. Meanwhile, Heeseung’s possessiveness grew stronger as his feelings deepened, his gaze following Sunghoon constantly, always subtly alert whenever someone else approached him.

One afternoon, after practice, Sunghoon sat alone, quietly nursing his tired muscles and restless thoughts. He flinched slightly when Heeseung quietly approached, instantly aware of the older boy’s comforting yet nerve-wracking presence.

“Sunghoon,” Heeseung murmured softly, gently touching his shoulder, voice tinged with quiet concern. “Are you okay? You’ve been distant lately.”

Sunghoon’s heart skipped, face immediately flushing deeply as he instinctively avoided Heeseung’s gentle gaze. “I-I’m fine, hyung.”

Heeseung hesitated, gently squeezing Sunghoon’s shoulder. “Did I do something?”

“No!” Sunghoon quickly replied, voice trembling slightly. He finally looked up shyly, heart aching at the worry reflected in Heeseung’s eyes. “It’s not you. It’s me.”

Heeseung’s expression softened further, unconsciously moving closer. “Then talk to me. You know I worry.”

Sunghoon hesitated, heart racing painfully. “It’s complicated, hyung. I... just need time.”

Heeseung’s gaze lingered possessively, thumb gently brushing Sunghoon’s collarbone again—a gesture now becoming a habit whenever he comforted Sunghoon. “Alright, but promise you won’t shut me out?”

Sunghoon blushed deeply, nodding shyly. “I promise.”

As days passed, Heeseung’s possessiveness intensified noticeably, especially whenever others approached Sunghoon. One afternoon, Jake casually wrapped an arm around Sunghoon’s shoulders, joking playfully. Heeseung’s eyes narrowed instinctively, discomfort flashing through his expression. Without thinking, he stepped forward, subtly placing himself between them, gently guiding Sunghoon away with a protective hand on his back.

“Sunghoon, come practice with me,” Heeseung said firmly yet gently, possessiveness clear to anyone watching.

Jake blinked in confusion, but Sunghoon’s heart fluttered nervously, cheeks flushed from Heeseung’s quietly authoritative tone. He followed obediently, confused yet secretly pleased by Heeseung’s protective behavior.

Later that evening, Sunghoon finally acknowledged how deeply his feelings ran. He lay awake, heart racing painfully as he replayed every gentle touch and possessive gaze from Heeseung. He sighed softly, finally accepting that his heart belonged fully to the older trainee.

“I like him...” Sunghoon whispered to himself softly, cheeks hot with embarrassment, chest heavy with confusion and longing.

Realizing it terrified him—especially since Heeseung seemed completely unaware. Sunghoon decided he must hide these feelings at all costs, fearful of ruining the comfortable bond they shared. But despite his attempts to hide, Sunghoon’s behavior continued to change noticeably. He became quieter around Heeseung, painfully shy and often trembling slightly whenever the older boy drew close. Yet he couldn’t deny his quiet joy whenever Heeseung touched him protectively, each gentle brush causing his heart to race uncontrollably.

Heeseung noticed Sunghoon’s shifting behavior, worry and possessiveness growing even stronger. He began subtly pulling Sunghoon away whenever another trainee got too close, unconsciously shielding him from attention. His touches lingered longer, thumb stroking Sunghoon’s hand or shoulder softly whenever he guided him.

One evening, after another exhausting day of practice, Sunghoon stepped outside alone, needing space to calm his frantic heartbeat. He startled softly when Heeseung appeared moments later, eyes darkened with quiet intensity and gentle possessiveness.

“Why are you avoiding me, Sunghoon?” Heeseung asked softly, voice thick with confusion and something deeper, his tone slightly strained.

Sunghoon flushed deeply, eyes wide and panicked. “I’m not avoiding you, hyung. I-I’m just confused.”

“Confused about what?” Heeseung moved closer, gently yet firmly placing a possessive hand on Sunghoon’s waist, drawing the younger boy instinctively closer. “Please tell me.”

Sunghoon trembled shyly, cheeks aflame from Heeseung’s touch, eyes shyly avoiding the older boy’s intense gaze. “I-I can’t...”

Heeseung’s grip tightened possessively yet gently, pulling Sunghoon slightly closer still. “You can trust me. I’ll always protect you.”

Sunghoon’s heart skipped again, mind dizzy with fear and longing, finally daring to meet Heeseung’s earnest, possessive gaze. “Hyung... I think... I like you.”

His voice came out barely a whisper, trembling, terrified, yet filled with sincerity. Heeseung’s eyes widened in shock, breath hitching softly.

“You...what?”

Sunghoon felt tears blur his vision, terrified by Heeseung’s stunned reaction. “I’m sorry, hyung—I shouldn’t have said anything...”

He tried pulling away, but Heeseung quickly tightened his grip, possessiveness suddenly overtaking any confusion. “Wait, Sunghoon.”

But panic surged through Sunghoon, and he quickly turned away, escaping Heeseung’s grasp, heart pounding painfully as he ran back inside, leaving Heeseung standing alone, stunned, confused, and suddenly terrified himself.

That night, both boys lay awake, hearts heavy, painfully aware their relationship had irreversibly changed. Sunghoon curled into himself, trembling softly, afraid he’d lost Heeseung forever.
Heeseung, meanwhile, felt turmoil tearing through him—joy, confusion, possessiveness, and fear, battling fiercely inside his chest. He finally recognized the full strength of his feelings for Sunghoon, heart aching with realization.

“I like him too,” Heeseung admitted quietly to himself, fear gripping him tightly. “But...I can’t.”

In the following days, Sunghoon desperately avoided Heeseung, ashamed and terrified. He clung to the other trainees for comfort, even though being apart from Heeseung hurt deeply.
Heeseung’s possessiveness sharpened painfully, jealousy growing whenever Sunghoon turned elsewhere. He began silently watching the younger boy from afar, desperately wanting to reclaim him yet afraid of confronting his own feelings.

Their interactions grew painfully tense, filled with awkward silences and avoided gazes. Sunghoon barely spoke, constantly blushing and retreating nervously whenever Heeseung tried approaching.
Both knew something had shattered between them—trust, comfort, innocence—and yet both desperately wanted to rebuild it, quietly hoping for something deeper and more precious.
Their relationships with the other trainees continued unaffected, cheerful and carefree—but between Heeseung and Sunghoon, a fragile barrier remained, silently holding them back from what they both desperately longed for.

The distance between Heeseung and Sunghoon became unbearably obvious. Each day, Sunghoon retreated further into himself, heart aching silently with regret. He desperately missed Heeseung’s comforting presence, yet felt ashamed and humiliated by his own confession. The gentle warmth between them now felt replaced by a cold, heavy silence.
Heeseung, meanwhile, grew increasingly withdrawn, eyes always darkened with quiet pain whenever he watched Sunghoon from afar. His possessiveness turned inward, burning painfully in his chest as jealousy and hurt consumed him whenever he saw Sunghoon smiling shyly with other trainees.

Neither boy could bear to talk to the other, hearts tangled with confusion and longing, each fearing they had ruined everything irreparably.

One evening, after practice, the trainees gathered around laughing and talking, their cheerful voices echoing warmly through the dormitory. Sunghoon sat quietly off to the side, alone and lost in thought, eyes distant.

“Sunghoon, come join us!” Jake called out warmly, noticing his quietness.

Sunghoon forced a weak smile, gently shaking his head. “I’m okay here.”

His voice trembled slightly, betraying his sadness. Across the room, Heeseung silently watched, chest tightening painfully at Sunghoon’s obvious loneliness.

“You’ve barely spoken all day,” Jungwon gently pointed out, concern clear in his eyes. “Are you alright?”

Sunghoon nodded quickly, forcing another shaky smile. “Just tired.”

Heeseung’s fists clenched subtly at his sides, jealousy and possessiveness mixing painfully with heartache. He wanted nothing more than to cross the room, hold Sunghoon close, and promise that everything would be okay—but fear held him back.

Instead, he quietly rose and left the room, chest aching bitterly, leaving Sunghoon’s heart to sink even lower.

Days turned into painful weeks, and the trainees noticed the growing sadness in Sunghoon. He ate less, smiled rarely, and often lay awake long into the night. His quiet suffering broke their hearts, though none fully understood why.

One night, alone in the practice room, Sunghoon quietly stretched, eyes red from silently crying earlier. He startled softly when Jungwon and Jay walked in quietly, eyes gentle with concern.
“Sunghoon hyung,” Jungwon spoke softly, gently placing a comforting hand on Sunghoon’s shoulder. “We’re worried.”

Sunghoon’s eyes brimmed quickly with tears again, shaking his head weakly. “I’m sorry... I don’t mean to make everyone worry.”

Jay knelt beside him gently, voice full of quiet care. “It’s about Heeseung hyung, isn’t it?”

Sunghoon flinched visibly at his words, tears spilling softly down his cheeks. He nodded weakly, unable to speak.

“It’s okay,” Jungwon whispered gently, rubbing Sunghoon’s back comfortingly. “We don’t need details, but maybe you should talk to him.”

Sunghoon shook his head desperately. “I-I can’t... I messed up.”

His voice broke into a soft sob, heart aching painfully at the thought of never speaking comfortably with Heeseung again.

Heeseung, meanwhile, suffered silently as well. His possessiveness grew into quiet bitterness whenever he watched others comforting Sunghoon, feeling as though he’d lost something precious. Yet he refused to reach out, fearful that he would hurt Sunghoon even more.

Late at night, alone in his bed, Heeseung curled tightly into himself, finally allowing tears to slip quietly down his cheeks.

As their separation continued, the dormitory grew heavier with sadness. Both boys withdrew further, isolated in their quiet suffering. The other trainees quietly watched with heavy hearts, unable to bridge the painful distance between the two who had once been inseparable.

Sunghoon found himself often standing outside alone, staring quietly at the stars, wishing desperately that he could rewind time and take back his confession. Each night, loneliness swallowed him deeper.

“I miss you, hyung,” Sunghoon whispered softly, tears silently streaming down his face as the wind gently brushed against his trembling form. “Please don’t hate me.”

One particularly quiet afternoon, Sunghoon sat alone in the corner of the practice room, knees drawn tightly to his chest, eyes blankly staring forward. Heeseung hesitated in the doorway, chest aching as he silently observed Sunghoon’s heartbreakingly fragile state.

Heeseung stepped forward softly, finally unable to stop himself. “Sunghoon...”

Sunghoon startled painfully, eyes wide with fear and hurt as he quickly stood, trembling visibly. “H-Heeseung hyung.”

Heeseung’s heart clenched tightly at the obvious fear in Sunghoon’s voice. He stepped closer, desperation in his gaze. “Please don’t be afraid of me. I don’t hate you.”

Sunghoon’s lip trembled painfully, tears immediately filling his eyes again. “Then why do you avoid me? I-I just want things back to how they were before.”

Heeseung’s eyes darkened with sadness. “Because they can’t go back.”

Sunghoon’s heart shattered at those words, shoulders slumping softly as tears slipped quietly down his pale cheeks. “I-I’m sorry...I ruined everything.”

“No,” Heeseung whispered painfully, voice thick with emotion. “I ruined it by running away. You did nothing wrong.”

Sunghoon shook his head weakly, voice trembling softly. “I-I wish I never told you how I feel. It hurts too much, hyung.”

Heeseung’s chest tightened painfully, instinctively reaching forward, fingertips brushing gently against Sunghoon’s hand. The younger boy flinched shyly at the touch, heart aching softly yet desperately craving more.

“I hurt you, didn’t I?” Heeseung whispered, voice strained. “I didn’t mean to.”

Sunghoon glanced up weakly, eyes heartbreakingly vulnerable. “Do you hate me?”

Heeseung quickly shook his head, heart aching deeply. “Never. I could never hate you.”

Sunghoon’s breath hitched softly, tears silently continuing to fall. Heeseung hesitated, desperately wanting to embrace Sunghoon, but fear held him back.

Instead, he stepped away slowly, chest aching with unbearable sadness. “I’m sorry, Sunghoon...for everything.”

He quietly turned away, leaving Sunghoon standing alone again, tears streaming quietly down his pale cheeks as loneliness overwhelmed him once more.

Their separation grew even more painful afterward, each interaction tense, filled with sadness and awkwardness. The other trainees gently tried to comfort them individually, yet nothing eased the deep ache each felt.

Sunghoon often cried silently at night, chest aching bitterly, wishing desperately that Heeseung would simply hold him and reassure him again. Yet he knew that their bond had fractured deeply, perhaps irreparably.

Heeseung grew painfully withdrawn, protectiveness turning into silent regret. Every quiet glance he shared with Sunghoon filled him with sadness, longing desperately to repair the damage yet terrified of making things worse.

Neither boy could sleep peacefully anymore, each silently longing for the other, hearts quietly shattering with every day spent apart.

Their bond, once so comforting, was now a source of quiet pain, a fragile thread holding them together yet tearing their hearts slowly apart.

Each night, they lay awake, silently praying for the pain to end, desperately yearning to reclaim the warmth and love they had once quietly shared—though neither knew how to begin.

As days slowly passed, Sunghoon and Heeseung’s bond quietly blossomed again, stronger and more beautiful than before. Their gentle, careful closeness deepened as they became inseparable once again. The painful memories slowly faded, replaced by shy smiles, tender touches, and silent warmth.

Sunghoon grew braver, heart quietly hopeful each time Heeseung touched his hand gently or protectively brushed stray strands of hair from his eyes. He allowed himself to believe again that maybe, just maybe, Heeseung felt something deeper, too.

Heeseung’s possessiveness softened, becoming affectionate rather than fearful. He stayed protectively close to Sunghoon, openly caring, and quietly smiling whenever the younger boy blushed shyly at his attention.

One quiet evening, after practice, Sunghoon lingered alone in the dimly lit practice room, quietly stretching. His heartbeat gently quickened as he sensed a familiar, comforting presence behind him.

“Heeseung hyung,” Sunghoon whispered softly, smiling shyly as the older boy approached.

Heeseung smiled gently, eyes warm and possessive in a tender way. “You’ve been practicing a lot lately. Are you tired?”

Sunghoon nodded shyly, heart fluttering as Heeseung softly brushed his hair away from his forehead, fingertips gently lingering on his skin.

“You don’t need to push yourself so hard,” Heeseung murmured protectively, voice soft with affectionate worry.

Sunghoon blushed deeply, shyly leaning closer into Heeseung’s gentle touch. “I-I want to make you proud.”

Heeseung’s gaze softened further, heart racing gently at Sunghoon’s shy confession. He quietly cupped Sunghoon’s face with gentle possessiveness, thumb softly stroking Sunghoon’s flushed cheek.
“I’m always proud of you,” Heeseung whispered warmly, eyes filled with sincerity and affection.

Sunghoon’s pulse raced sweetly at those gentle words, his chest tightening softly with quiet hope. He bravely held Heeseung’s gaze this time, eyes shy yet filled with silent longing.
Heeseung’s breath softly caught, his heart quietly pounding in his chest. He hesitated briefly before slowly, gently pulling Sunghoon into a comforting embrace. Sunghoon melted softly into Heeseung’s warmth, shyly wrapping his arms around him. They stood quietly together, hearts beating gently in sync, silently acknowledging how deeply their bond had grown again.

Over the following days, their closeness continued to quietly blossom. Sunghoon became comfortable leaning softly against Heeseung whenever they sat together, heart fluttering gently each time Heeseung protectively rested an arm around him. Heeseung grew more openly affectionate, no longer hiding how special Sunghoon had become to him.

Late one night, Sunghoon stood quietly outside again, gazing up at the star-filled sky, smiling softly to himself. Heeseung soon joined him, quietly stepping close and gently intertwining their fingers. Sunghoon’s heart fluttered shyly, turning to meet Heeseung’s tender gaze.

“Hyung,” Sunghoon whispered softly, voice shy yet hopeful, “have you ever thought about what we are?”

Heeseung’s eyes softened warmly, gently brushing his thumb over Sunghoon’s knuckles. “All the time.”

Sunghoon blushed deeply, heart racing softly. “And?”

Heeseung hesitated briefly, eyes tender yet vulnerable. He took a gentle breath, quietly cupping Sunghoon’s face again, possessiveness soft and affectionate. “Sunghoon, I don’t think I can keep pretending anymore.”

Sunghoon’s breath caught nervously, eyes widening softly, heart pounding in gentle anticipation. “Pretending?”

“That I only see you as a dongsaeng,” Heeseung whispered gently, eyes filled with sincerity and quiet longing. “I tried so hard to protect you from my feelings, but it hurt both of us.”

Sunghoon’s cheeks flushed deeply, shyly yet bravely squeezing Heeseung’s hand. “Then don’t pretend anymore, hyung.”

Heeseung’s breath trembled softly, heart racing gently as he smiled shyly. “Sunghoon, I like you. More than I’ve ever liked anyone. More than I can express. I want you to be mine—only mine.”

Sunghoon’s eyes filled softly with tears of joy, heart soaring sweetly at Heeseung’s confession. He smiled shyly, nodding softly yet eagerly. “I-I want that too. More than anything.”

Heeseung’s eyes filled gently with relief and joy, quietly leaning closer, gently pressing their foreheads together. His voice trembled softly, filled with affection. “Then will you be my boyfriend?”

Sunghoon blushed deeply, smiling shyly yet sweetly, voice gentle but filled with quiet certainty. “Yes, hyung. I’m yours.”

Heeseung smiled gently, warmth blooming tenderly in his chest as he finally, softly pressed their lips together in a shy yet sweet first kiss. Sunghoon melted softly into the kiss, heart racing gently yet comforted by Heeseung’s protective, affectionate embrace.

One evening, curled comfortably together on the sofa, Sunghoon shyly rested his head on Heeseung’s shoulder, quietly watching the others playfully laughing around them. Heeseung protectively wrapped an arm around him, softly pressing a gentle kiss to Sunghoon’s forehead.

“I’m so glad we stopped hiding,” Heeseung whispered gently, voice filled with warmth.

Sunghoon smiled shyly, cheeks softly flushed yet heart warm. “Me too, hyung. I’ve never been this happy before.”

Heeseung’s eyes softened affectionately, possessively yet sweetly intertwining their fingers. “I promise I’ll always protect you.”

Sunghoon shyly squeezed his hand gently, softly leaning closer. “And I promise I’ll always trust you.”

Their bond quietly radiated warmth and love, stronger and sweeter than ever before. They no longer feared their feelings, openly cherishing each gentle touch and tender word, hearts finally united, stronger and more beautiful than either had ever dreamed.

Their friends quietly watched, smiling fondly, grateful they’d finally found each other, confident that their gentle love would always protect and nurture the special bond they’d quietly built together.
In each other’s embrace, Sunghoon and Heeseung knew with quiet certainty they’d finally found where they belonged—together, always.
