Cherry Red

Summary:

Reddish, hydrated and shiny. Slightly fuller on the bottom, and the upper one is built to look like a little heart. Soft and delicate, almost always twisted into a pout. The corners naturally turn upwards. It was simply illegal for Jongho's mouth to be drawn that way.

Hi! I wrote this a while ago and posted on the Archive but in portuguese, so here's the English translation to it!

Work Text:

Reddish, hydrated and shiny. Slightly fuller on the bottom, and the upper one is built to look like a little heart. Soft and delicate, almost always twisted into a pout. The corners naturally turn upwards. It was simply illegal for Jongho's mouth to be drawn that way.

He had a beautiful and pleasant face to look at, all proportionate and affable, made with love by someone who studied the structure of a beautiful face for years, all rounded to make him adorable, but it was certain that whoever had sketched Choi Jongho had spent an inordinate amount of time perfecting his mouth.

It then became difficult to resist, even more so when he slowly dyed that pair of already pink lips with lip tint, painting with a slightly stronger red but still delicate enough to look natural and Mingi just watched the brush follow the path he wanted to follow with his own mouth, like a masochistic torture.

The light reflected on his wet lower lip, illuminating certain spots, and Mingi could only wonder if now the mouth he admired so much also tasted like cherry as the lipstick packaging suggested, or if that was just about the color. He wondered, if he ran his tongue over the same places as the bristle earlier, what the texture of those would be against his own. Would it be soft like it seemed?

— Hyung? Are you listening to me?

Jongho's mouth moved to form words, turned into a smile, curved into a pout, but that was all Mingi could pay attention to. In the movement of the lips, in the cherry color, in the smell of the lip tint. Now what Jongho was saying was a blur. It wasn't bad intentioned, but Mingi couldn't resist and ended up getting lost in the labium.

— Mhm? Uhm.

This mess of sounds was the only thing he managed to respond in the brief seconds he stared into Jongho's eyes, trying to wake himself up from his trance, but as soon as the youngest resumed his talking, Mingi got lost again in the scenarios where those lips were his to kiss for as long and as he wanted.

Mingi wanted to try them more than ever and he blamed the cherry red lip tint for that. The cosmetic shouldn't have made Jongho's mouth so much more inviting, so much more appetizing. He was unfair to mere mortals like him, who could only admire from afar.

— Mingi… What are you doing?

The whispered words reached his ears and only then did Mingi realize that he was leaning towards Jongho, and that his thumb was outlining his beautiful mouth in circles. His gaze followed the movements of his own finger and even though he was smudging the lipstick Jongho had just applied, the lips were still calling for Mingi to try them.

— Sorry.

Mingi pulled his hand away, as if it was the hardest thing in the world to do. He noticed Jongho's adam's apple moving up and down, as well as his breathing becoming heavier. The younger man shook his head and looked back at the mirror. Now that Mingi had removed all of his lip gloss, he needed to retouch it.

— So, as I was saying. — Jongho tried to continue, but he was also lost and shaken from Mingi’s actions. — I’m not sure if I should chose the cherry red one or the peach orange one for my assigned lipstick, I don't know which color fits me bett-

— What does it taste like? — Mingi asked, mesmerized once again, not paying attention to the maknae’s words.

— Hm?

— What does the lip tint taste like? It says it's cherry but I don't know. Can lipstick taste like cherry?

Jongho stopped what he was doing and the corner of his lip was pulled up in a sideways smile. In return, he leaned towards Mingi and it was his eyes that locked on Mingi's full mouth. Mingi parted his lips a little to make room for Jongho to color them with his cherry lip tint, taking his time to paint every inch.

The bristles tickled his mouth, and Jongho's intense, fixed gaze tickled his heart. He still wasn't sure what the lipstick that was applied to his lips in a thin layer tasted like, but he knew he wouldn't have to try much harder to find out.

— So? What does it taste like ?— Jongho asked.

Mingi shrugged, running his tongue over the liquid that was so delicately placed on his skin. He had expected more, honestly. It didn't taste like cherry, strawberry or raspberry. But it didn't take away Mingi's desire to find out what he tasted like on Jongho's lips.

— Nothing. — He smirked. — But if I ask you how you taste, will you put your lips on mine, as well?

Jongho smiled again. A slightly wider smile, but still amused.

— Try it. — He finally answered.

Mingi wasn't one to miss opportunities, so it only took him a while to understand the words before he sucked Jongho's lower lip into his mouth. He wanted to make his mouth cherry red without needing the help of lipstick. And Jongho's lips might not taste like cherry, but Mingi discovered his new favorite flavor there.

The arms around his neck encouraged him to continue and Jongho let Mingi enjoy himself as he wanted. Mingi licked and sucked on the inviting mouth, bathed in the soft texture, melted in the shock between them, surrendered to the way they fit together and danced to the same music.

Jongho didn't taste like cherry, but Mingi's passion for him was just as red.

Hope you liked it! This is one of my faverite pieces I wrote!
