Chapter Text
Ciara always knew that she was different. She never made friends easily, people would laugh and make a mockery of her even before she discovered who she truly was.
6 days after her 10th birthday something happened to her. That day was completely life changing for Ciara. In the depths of the night covered in the blanket of darkness was a young Ciara Evermore, trembling and weeping through what she had thought was a simple night terror. And oh how she wishes it was just that. Agonising screams erupt from her mouth as she slashes and squirms in bed at the unholy pain she was going through.
“Ciara darling what's the matter?!” her mother cried out as she entered the room to comfort her pain stricken daughter. But there was no use as Ciara continued to flail and scream in agony as her body started to change. As her mutation developed. What seemed like hours of pain for her was merely seconds as it felt as though all of her bones had broken and reformed themselves allowing for a pair of beastly wings to sprout from her back. Ears begin to reform into large animal-like formations as fangs protrude from her mouth.
That was the last time Ciara’s mother ever showed that much care. After that she pretended her daughter didn't exist. That she had simply never existed. She alienated her own daughter because she couldn't stand the thought of having a mutant… a monster as a child.
But from then on Ciara knew that no one would want to care for her. No one would want to be seen with such a disgusting creature. That was until they showed up.
Charles Xavier was a kind hearted man. A man who took Ciara in at her time of need. He explained to her that she wasn't alone, that she wasn't the only person who was different. His reassurance meant the world to her and she knew she'd always be grateful for what he had done for her.
And that leads her up to now. Ciara had been a student at Xavier's school for gifted youngsters for some time now. She's made many friends within her time there. But she still felt an emptiness inside her. She still felt …. Alone. But nevertheless she kept her head high and went on with life. She was a high grade student who enjoyed learning as well as training to one day be a part of the x-men. She wanted to make the professor proud, fight alongside him and many other great mutants to show her gratitude.
But her feeling of isolation was coming to an end. As Mystique returns to the mansion after some time she had brought someone along with her. A mutant, a young mutant who was going to change Ciara’s life.
