Charlie's Sin

Summary:

Being with Vaggie has helped Charlie learn a lot about herself: that she works just as well with women as she does with men, that she can find love in the most unlikely of places, and that she has a very strange secret that she didn't even know about.
A secret...or perhaps a sin?

Chapter Text

Vaggie made a sound as if she were somehow snoring while wide awake, followed by a low moan that could just barely be heard from the other room over. Walking down the steps of the hotel, Charlie approached her girlfriend with an inquisitive look on her face.

“Is everything alright, Vaggie?” the princess of Hell asked.

Her companion turned her one-eyed gaze back on her. “Been better,” she said. “My nose is getting stuffy and my throat feels raspy.

Charlie stopped in her tracks. “Oh.” Likely a cold, then – and with a cold came a lot of sneezing. “When did this start?”

“Few hours ago,” Vaggie said before reaching over to the hotel front desk to pull out a tissue to blow her nose. She didn’t seem satisfied by such a pitiful attempt at clearing her airways, as her sniffling sounded just as strained as it had a moment before.

Almost unable to help herself, Charlie cooed at her girlfriend before stepping up to meet her face-to-face. “Aww, babe – you don’t have to do any work today if you don’t want to!” she said, already knowing full-well what Vaggie’s response was going to be.

“I’ll be fine, I’ll be fine,” she insisted before dragging a knuckle under her nose and giving another sniff. Her nose slightly red, she cast a knowing glance Charlie’s way, a light smirk turning up the corners of those kissable lips of hers. “I’ll try not to sneeze while you’re gone.”

Charlie’s heart skipped a beat when Vaggie said that word out loud. Ever since she’d found out about Charlie’s sin, Vaggie almost seemed to want to cater to Charlie’s desire more than ever now. She tried to remember how long it had been since Vaggie found out – and how much time it had been since she’d revealed that she knew the secret that even Charlie didn’t quite understand about herself.
