Biden sat with his palms folded over his lap, tears of pride and joy in his eyes as he watched Trump raise his left hand. His beloved was becoming president, again. He stirred in his seat, wanting to kiss the lips that recited the oath. He yearned to burst out of his chair, feet pounding against the carpet, into the warm embrace of Trump.
He took a deep breath. He had a wife, a family, if his relationship with the President was made public…
Americans would riot. Democrats and Republicans alike would flood the streets in fear and anger. America wasn’t ready for their political boundaries to be thrown away like that. Biden would be-

Biden caught Trump’s eyes, his mouth was twisted upwards in a smirk, a playful glimmer in his eyes. The smaller man ducked his head, trying to hide the blush that was forming across his cheeks. He cleared his throat softly, trying to compose himself. He was just the president yesterday, and even though Joe’s reputation was poor, he had an act to keep up. Biden’s eyes darted over to Kamala Harris. Her eyes were wandering, over to Melania, Trump’s “wife”. He chuckled softly. His body may have been worn and wrinkled from the harsh years, but he wasn’t stupid. He knew lesbianism when he saw it.
However, his love for the President had blinded him to Trump’s quick, stolen glances towards Elon Musk. He didn’t see how Trump’s eyes glittered in passion when he was watching the younger man, how they held hands under tables, how they always tried to get as close as humanly possible without raising suspicion.
However clever Biden thought himself to be, however close he and Trump were, he didn’t know everything.
