Chapter Text
Bunny gently set down the picnic blanket on the hill overlooking the sunset, right next to the lonesome tree. As she sat down to admire the beauty of the suns colors, she heard Sheepy and the Poppyseed's walking towards where she was resting.
Bunny took a look at what Sheepy was wearing. a tealish-green dress to match her own light blue one. She could only imagine how hard it must have been for Sheepy to wear a dress. She never was a fan of them, always preferring simple pants and a shirt. But the fact she put that aside just for her meant alot. It was a simple gesture, but it still held alot of meaning.
Bunny waved to the Poppyseed's, and walked up to them.
"It's nice to see you two. Thank you for bringing Sheepy over." Bunny said graciously
Mr. P nodded. "It was our pleasure, you two have been such good friends to us over the years, and Sheepy is basically a daughter to us, so we were happy to be able to help in any way we can. Even if it was just driving her here."
Bunny smiled. "Even so, I'm still glad. Hope you two have a good night!"
"You two as well, dear! Have an amazing evening!" Mrs. P said. Before bursting into a coughing fit.
Sheepy looked over at Mrs. P concerned. "Are you alright? You've been coughing like that for the entire ride down here."
Mrs. P steadied herself using Mr. P as support. "Thank you for the concern, hun, but I'll be fine. It's probably just a mild cold."
Mr. P nodded. "We should probably be going now. Have a nice night, you two."
Bunny waved goodbye. "You too, good bye, Mr. and Mrs. P!"
"Yeah, goodbye mo-" Sheepy started to say before catching herself. "Goodbye, Mr. and Mrs. Poppyseed."
Mrs. P chuckled to herself a little. "Goodbye hun." She said as her husband helped support her all the way to their car.
As Bunny and Sheepy watched them leave, Bunny smugly turned to Sheepy. "You totally almost called Mrs. P 'mom' didn't you?"
Sheepy turned away, embarrassed. "Maybe. But that's not our main focus tonight." She said, gently petting Bunny's head, causing her to reflexively stick her tongue out.
The two of them sat down back over at the picnic blanket and snuggled up next to each other. Watching the sunset.
"This is nice." Bunny said softly.
Sheepy smiled at her. "Not as nice as you are. I'd give you the whole world if I could." She said sweetly. "You deserve all that and more."
"Awwww, that's so sweet." Bunny said, giving Sheepy a peck on the cheek.
Sheepy looked down at Bunny warmly, but as she did, Bunny grabbed her face and pulled her in for a kiss. Which Sheepy leaned into.
They both pulled away from the kiss before immediately snuggling up next to each other again. Holding each other tightly as if someone would separate them if they let go.
"What did I do to deserve you?" Sheepy asked, her head buried in Bunny's neck.
Bunny giggled. "Be yourself. That's all you ever needed to do." She said as she kissed Sheepy in the forehead.
Sheepy sighed contently as Bunny kissed her forehead. "I love you, Bun." She said sweetly.
"I love you too, Sheepy." Bunny said endearingly.
As Bunny layed her head on Sheepy's shoulder, Sheepy layed her head on Bunny's head. They both looked at the beautiful sunset, and all the scenery that surrounded them.
Nothing could ever be better than this.
Notes:

Chapter Text
Sheepy woke up with a yawn and a stretch, she instinctively rolled over to hug Bunny, but she had apparently already gotten up.
Sheepy rubbed her eyes and put on her glasses, she was barely awake as is and did not trust herself to put her contacts in without losing them, she then looked over at the calendar to check the date.
February 21st, it was her birthday. She sighed, last time Bunny was left unsupervised during her birthday, it didn't end well.
She got up from the bed, put on a bathrobe and slippers, and walked into the kitchen, where Bunny was eating some toast.
Bunny quickly noticed Sheepys entrance. "There's the birthday girl! How are you?" She asked excitedly.
Sheepy chuckled. "Better now that I know you aren't trying to cook again."
Bunny gave her an annoyed expression. "It was one time and I've gotten so much better at it!" She said pouting
Sheepy rubbed her face, trying to wake herself up. "Yeah, well before that one time, we had a house. I'd prefer not to repeat that mistake because if we burned down the apartment, it would be a lot more expensive."
"Fair." Bunny sighed defeatedly, before immediately changing the subject. "I think you're going to love the gift I bought you though... whenever it's ready."
Sheepy smiled. "You're the best gift I could've asked for. You didn't need to get me anything."
"Well I wanted to, so I did." Bunny said smugly. "Oh, and before I forget, our anniversary is in a few weeks too, so this gift will have to count for both of those."
Sheepy smiled as she wrapped Bunny in a hug. "Gosh, how long have we been dating now? It's been awhile... since we were teenagers atleast."
Bunny scratched her head thinking. "Over a decade is all I know for sure, I still think it's crazy how we even got together in the first place."
Sheepy yawned again and shrugged. "We got drunk, things happened, and we found out we liked eachother, seems straightforward enough."
Bunny turned to her and returned the hug she was given. "Well, I'm glad it happened, because now I have you."
They lingered in the hug for awhile before Sheepy got up to make herself breakfast, grabbing some bread from the cabinet.
Bunny looked around, trying to distract herself, before jokingly saying. "It's been over a decade and you still haven't proposed to me, just saying."
Sheepy sighed before chuckling, Bunny brought this up all the time. "If you want to get married so badly, why don't you propose then?"
"I uh... don't know what kind of jewelry you'd like." Bunny admitted, seemingly caught off guard and searching for an excuse.
"Diamond to match my wool, although I'm not that picky." Sheepy said, giggling to herself.
Bunny nodded. "Alright, noted." She said absentmindedly, while also seeming a bit pleased with herself, for reasons Sheepy just couldn't understand.
As Sheepy finished making her breakfast, she sat down next to Bunny and began eating.
"You look cute with your glasses, by the way. You should wear them more often." Bunny said sweetly.
Sheepy looked at her gratefully. "Thank you, but the contacts are more convenient for our line of work, so I'll keep wearing those."
"Atleast wear them at home, for me? You look realllly cute." Bunny said with pleading eyes.
"You know I can't say no to those eyes, fine. As long as you like it." Sheepy said as she nuzzled Bunny's cheek.
Bunny sighed dreamily. "You know, so many people told us this wouldn't work, that a rabbit and a sheep shouldn't be together, that it wasn't natural. But look at us now, happier than we've ever been!"
Sheepy pulled Bunny in for a hug. "Took the words right out of my mouth."
They stayed in the hug for as long as they could, getting as close together as they could and enjoying the comfort of eachothers warmth, Bunny resting her head on Sheepy's chest. Before they were both startled out of the embrace by the doorbell ringing.
"We'll be with you in a minute!" Bunny called out before turning to Sheepy. "Were you expecting a guest?"
Sheepy shook her head. "No, were you?"
"Obviously not if I asked you first." Bunny said deadpan. "Let me go see who it is."
"Wait! Let me get dressed first. Or atleast let me put some underwear on, or anything besides just a bathrobe." Sheepy said.
Bunny's face turned as red as a tomato. "Oh! Right! Of course! Go change."
Eventually Sheepy came out of her room wearing a teal dress. "These are actually starting to grow on me." Sheepy said as she opened the door.
The door opened to reveal Mr. P wearing a solemn expression.
"Mr. P? What's wrong?" Bunny asked as she noticed his expression.
They stood in silence for a bit before Mr. P finally broke the news. "Mrs. P is sick, the doctors said if it's not cured soon it'll turn fatal... but there's no known cure."
Bunny gasped as Sheepy just stood in shock, unable to process any of this, she couldn't die like this, could she?
Mr. P continued. "I'm funding research for a cure, but I need a research team...Stella, Bunnibell... I know it's alot to ask of you... but do you think you two could help? I know you two get on the front page all the time due to your advances... I need your help."
Bunny noticed Sheepy frozen and nodded. "Give us a second to talk about this."
Mr. P nodded as the door closed and Bunny shook Sheepy to bring her back to reality. "So we're doing this, right? For Mrs. P?"
Sheepy stared into Bunny's eyes for a second longer than she should've, and quietly said. "For mom."
That was when Bunny remembered, the Poppyseed's were basically Sheepy's family. That gave her even more reason to do this, and added more stakes. They couldn't fail her now.
Sheepy took a deep breath and opened the door. And quickly said to Mr. P. "We'll do it."

I think we all know what's happening, the beginning of the end has started. Take your sweet time experiencing all the other stuff from here on out, you never know when it all will dissappear in front of you.

Chapter Text
Sheepy was hard at work when Bunny came back from the store with a bag full of carrots. The room felt extremely silent, every move Bunny took made more noise than anything else. She placed the bag on the desk and sat next to Sheepy, looking to see how far she's gotten.
Bunny sat down next to Sheepy and greeted her. "Hello there, how's the love of my life doing today, Are we close to a breakthrough?" She said, as if to lighten up the mood and cut through the silence.
Bunny could hear Sheepy chuckle under her breath. "Hi, Bun. I'll be fine... but nothing's working, no closer to a breakthrough than 3 days ago." She explained
Bunny pointed to a vial holding a purple liquid in it. "Have you tried-."
Sheepy cut her off "Yes I've tried mixing that with everything, doesn't work, I'm keeping it around just in case." She explained.
Bunny pointed to another one. "What about-."
Sheepy cut her off again, this time more aggressively. "I've tried that too! I've tried everything! Nothing is working!"
Bunny held her hands up defensively. "Sorry, I'm just trying to help. We're a team, remember?"
Sheepy sighed. "I know, I'm sorry, it's just... I'm really stressed. Mr. P is rushing to find the cure, and I really don't want to fail Mrs. P. I'm just... tired." She explained
Bunny noticed the large eyebags under Sheepy's eyes, and began questioning her. "Stella... when was the last time you slept?"
Sheepy brushed the question off. "A bit ago, why don't you go talk to the others? I'm sure they'll be helpful."
Bunny knew she was trying to avoid the subject, but since she couldn't do anything else, she decided to just do what Sheepy said and check up with the others.
Bunny walked into another office, where Beary and Badgy were setting up air mattresses, much to Bunny's confusion. Beary noticed Bunny, and once he saw the look on her face, he immediately responded.
"Badgys' idea. Since Mr. P is rushing us with the cure, he thought having these here so we could just sleep in the hospital would be helpful." Beary explained, with Badgy giving a nod.
Bunny looked at them oddly before remembering what she was here for. "You guys got any progress I could pass over to Sheepy?" She asked hopefully.
Badgy piped up. "As a matter of fact I do!" He said while holding a large vial of green liquid. "After talking with Beary, I had the idea to combin-."
Bunny cut him off almost as soon as he started. "Alright cool thanks, I'll go get this to Sheepy!" She started to run out of the room, but before she got far, she went back and asked. "Hey... can one of you guys bring one of those into the room Sheepy's working in? I know she's not gonna sleep if it's not right next to her work." She explained.
Beary nodded and signaled for Badgy to help him carry the mattress. When Bunny dropped off the vial, she grabbed the mattress from the other two and brought it into the room herself, much to Sheepy's confusion.
"What's that for?" Sheepy asked as she worked with the new substance Badgy had made.
Bunny stared directly at her. "It's where you're going to sleep, because you are GOING to go to sleep, alright?"
Sheepy sighed. "I can't afford to sleep Bun, I'm sorry, but I need every bit of time I have."
Bunny pouted, before sitting down next to her. "Fine, you're not going to sleep? I won't either then."
Sheepy sighed at this act. "Bunnibell-"
Bunny cut her off and started talking. "Do you remember that one birthday party you had? A few weeks before we started dating?"
Sheepy looked at her, trying to understand what was going on. "Yeah. We both got drunk, some stuff happened, then the next morning you were mortified and were scared what your family would think of a rabbit and a sheep..." She trailed off.
"I think that was the stupidest thing I ever said. And even younger me knew that, because I came right back. I realized we should be allowed to love whoever we love, and not have to confine ourselves to our own species... or any dumb hierarchy." Bunny ranted. She looked at Sheepy. "I remember begging for your forgiveness because I genuinely cared about you, Stella, I loved you alot. And the idea I had hurt you was eating away at me."
Sheepy nodded, a tired smile forming at the retelling of this story. "And I remember how one kiss shut you right up." She chuckled.
Bunny's face turned a bit redder at this being brought up, before she refocused. "We're meant to be a team, we're meant to look out for eachother. That's why I'm so worried about you forcing yourself to work so hard."
Sheepy turned her head to look at Bunny, before planting a kiss on her forehead. "You're right. Maybe I can spare some time to sleep." Sheepy said as she got up and began to lie on the air mattress.
Bunny layed right next to her. The two cuddled together to stay warm. As they both drifted off into sleep.
Before Bunny could even realize she was asleep, Sheepy was already getting up, muttering about something. "What's going on?" She muttered.
"I dreamt about something that I think might just be the answer. I don't know if it will work, but it's the best idea I have. If it doesn't, who cares? Just make that number 128 in the reject pile." Sheepy explained rapidly.
Bunny nodded tiredly. "So what is this idea?"
Sheepy started dashing around grabbing different vials. "Badgys substance doesn't have many reactions when mixed with other chemicals, but it did give me an idea for what the final product should be. It needs all the things you guys have spent the entire time making, I don't get how I didn't see it!" She said, before returning to complete silence, mixing stuff like a mad scientist.
Badgy and Beary, hearing the commotion, went to check out what was going on. Just at that moment, Sheepy finished creating her concoction. She stared down in awe at a neon green substance. Before she looked up at the others.
"I think I just solved it."
