Work Text:
He stared at himself in the mirror. Light green button up with a dark tie paired with nice khaki slacks and dress shoes. The ideal work attire for his job at the permit office - which he no longer had. After the court ordered closure of the Permit Office, he wasn't sure what to do. He could build but he did a lot of that. He could prank but he did that a lot as well.
He stared at himself in the mirror some more until he had an idea. He turned from the full length mirror to his closet searching for his regular clothes. Once back in his regular outfit, he grabbed his hat and fishing pole before rushing out of the door.
He realized that he might have made mistake, after what happened last time he started fishing. He sat there on the dock, feet hanging over the edge, hook & bait in the water.
Then it dunked. Quickly, he reeled it in. One fish couldn't hurt right?
As it came from the water, he discovered it wasn't a fish but a waterlogged book.
A smile formed on his face as another idea came to his mind. He was going to make a journal and track his fishing habits, to hopefully stop a repeat of last time.

He held the book in his hands. Staring at it. His only thought was that now the ocean had to accept him. Had to accept him. He looked down into the ocean, down the underwater cliff he stood on the edge of. The water warm, fish swimming in a circle. They swam around the spot he was looking at, welcoming him. The Ocean was accepting him.
He was crazed.
One word went through his head as the ocean opened up. Finally. A gaping hole, beckoning him.
Answering the call, he entered.
