Graduation

Summary:

In the wise words of DJ Khalid: another one.

Notes:

A little slice of life feel :))

Work Text:

Life has gotten both more difficult and easier for the five.

Dealing with a bunch of demons who were fed inaccurate propaganda about humans was pretty difficult, but they had a smooth landing after the hellspawn completed the crash course on humanity and graduated from Humans 101.

They'd even learned about demon society in return. Turns out, their systems aren't that different from humans, just less complicated and more rural feeling. They had legal documentation and everything!

That made it much easier to commence their next plan of action.

Of course, the demons decided they wanted to be above as much as possible, so those who wanted to pursue work, were easily able to get into colleges and trade schools with the help of their human husband

They each had their culture shocks, one being when five alarms went off at 2 in the morning and five boys promptly got up from bed, awakening the demons who rested in varying places of the room and went downstairs.

They gathered in the living room and turned on the TV, opening up a Livestream that had yet to begin.

They were followed by only some of the demons, who watched curiously and tiredly as the humans sat patiently in front of the device until music started playing.

Some sat down in front of the tv to watch as well, other left as soon as the homo sapiens begun dancing and fanboying over the people being displayed.

Another was when the five came back from a short outing only to see the kitchen a mess, to the point where it looked like everything exploded, the demons were all around the kitchen, bloodied, and eating.. guts and bits.

"It's a traditional dish for this specific day. It's ment to give fortune if it's made well and in a timely manner." Joshua explained.

"So.. it's not human parts?" Riki asked

"No, they are, but they are grown from native plants." Sungho answered

"So it's like fruit?" Yujin inquired

"No... They're still body parts." Donghyuck responded

The humans fled as Ricky raised an eyeball to his mouth, holding it between his teeth and silently threatening to chomp.

Legend has it, five people may or may not have thrown up their guts that day.

--

"Hey, you guys want to play Roblox?" Yujin asked

"Absolutely." Woonhak grinned, moving from his upside down position on the couch to sit down properly.

After everyone agreed they begun to search for games, unable to agree, they played rock paper scissors to decide.

"Are you serious Jisung? This game is literally terrifying." Chan complained

"Its Roblox." Jisung stated, urging them to join the game before the server filled.

Within minutes of starting the game, the five were jumping, laughing and screaming, attracting the attention of the demons in the house.

"What are you guys doing?" Jungwon asked

"Playing a game." Riki answered, promptly flying out of his seat as a jump scare appeared on the screen.

The room filled with giggles at that, and they gathered around to watch from the small phone screens.

"Move! I can't see" Seungkwan complained, lightly pushing Mingyu

Jisung grabbed the remote from the coffee table and turned on the tv, then connected his screen to it so everyone could see better.

"That's cool! I didn't know the tv could do that!" Soonyoung exclaimed

They all watched closely, pointing things out to help the five when they got stuck, and getting scared when jumpscares appeared or during a chase scene.

When they finally completed the game, the five humans were urged to hand their phones over, some of the demons more eager than others to have a turn.

So there they sat, all in the living room as they played through chapter after chapter of the game.

"Let's watch a horror movie." Donghyun suggested after they'd played all the chapters "it's fitting."

"Absolutely not." Half of them chorused.

"Why not!!"

-

Going out as a whole group also became more difficult. There's not that many places that can accommodate a group of their size, and the price would be more hefty if the place could.

Their quintuple dates were usually at some place like an empty field, but sometimes they'd go to the movie theater and take up a lot of space, and if the time and circumstances were right, they went to an amusement park. But that is kinda pricey.

"Alright guys, let's separate and do our own things." Mark suggested

"Good idea!"

They all separate into their respective groups, though not promoted to, and hung out together.

"You guys want to go on the ferris wheel?" Sanghyeok asked

"Isn't it too early for that?" Dongmin shot back

"We can go on it twice, plus isn't it great we are the only group that can all go in one car?" Sanghyeok returned

They all relented, making the first ride they go on the ferris wheel.

"Its not nearly as pretty as it would be at sunset or night." Sungho muttered

"Shut up."

-

"I want to ride the boat." Sunghoon spoke

"Might as well, I was thinking of going too." Riki said

"Boat it is!" Sunoo cheered

They queued up for it, waiting patiently for their turn when

"Hey guys!" Someone called from behind them, Riki could tell it was Yujin without turning around.

"Oh hey!" Heeseung smiled

"Great minds think alike huh?" Gunwook smirked playfully

"Great is an over statement." Ricky scoffed

"Hey!"

They laughed for a bit, then just talked idly before it was heir turn to go on.

"This is the least scary ride they have." Jake frowned

"Top 3 scariest in my book." Hao commented

Within moments, the group was making a fool of themselves, screeching, laughing, and taunting both each other and the ride operator.

-

"I'm absolutely not getting on that rollercoaster." Minghao deflected just a few minutes before.

"Yes you are, we all are." Junhui grinned

"Team effort!" Hansol motivated, voice not going above regular speaking level.

Less than ten minutes later, they could finally get on, and there was absolutely no turning back, not that it was an option when Minghao was being trapped by Mingyu and Seungcheol

Sometime during that ride, a voice screamed something along the times of "I hate you guys" who it was that said it, went unknown.

-

"I think we should get as many souvenirs as possible." Jaemin voiced

"I don't feel like getting on any rides so sure!"

The group of 7 went around, trying to get the highest score of the day, and get as many prizes as possible, though for some that proved harder than it seemed.

I don't know why you two are so hellbent on winning this, it's so obvious got to be rigged." Renjun sighed as Both Jeno and Chenle paid he fee to play the same game for the fifth time.

"Because," Jeno paused trying his hardest to hit the target he'd missed continuously "I need to confirm it's possible."

"Everyone who played before us lost." Chenle added.

"I for one, appreciate the dedication." Mark said, receiving a sideways look from Jisung

Jeno slouched as the game finished, having failed again while Chenle jumped happily, finally having won.

"At least you proved it was possible." Jisung spoke, finishing a drink he'd bought a while ago.

"At least one of you proved it." Jaemin laughed.

"Whatever, I'll win the next few games, rest assured."

-

"That was fun! I'm kinda sad there were no fire works." Woonhak commented, yawning after

"They had some yesterday, too bad." Chan pouted.

"We'll just make our own, easy peasy." Woozi stated

"We could." Seungcheol said briefly

"Wha-"

Jeonghan looked up, bending all his fingers but his pointer and thumb as he angled his hands to various places in the sky and said a quiet "pew" explosions of color in the sky following

"HOW!"
