Chapter Text
Buzzing in their nonexistent ears.
Why did it hurt so bad?
They shouldn't have gotten attached.
This was their fault.
They don't deserve to host if they can't just watch over everyone.
They lost her.
Gaty.
They didn't deserve to wake up.
They didn't deserve to be a host.
They didn't deserve to be-
Knock knock.
The bedroom door creaked open as yellow fingers slid through, cracking light into the dark, dirtied room. "Umh... Two?" The high-pitched pitched wobbly voice pondered as X walked inside. Two didn't bother to look. Not only because they knew who it was, but there was no point. Life, magic, passion; gone as that periwinkle joy in their life vanished without a trace. All because of them. How? Because they got attached. What a great host.
Two pondered back to the cieling as the muted taps of X's footsteps entered the room. The smell of fresh food had begun to disgust them... did algebraliens even need to eat? They didn't know or care anymore. Haziness webbed over their body, trapping them in a permanent frozen state, rotting in their bed, which had slowly begun to smell. When had they last gotten up?
"Uhhh, here! It's lunch! Corn bread mmmmmm???" X waves the bag in front of Two to try and bait them, to no avail. Two just... rotted there. They'd sit up to eat sometimes, but... was that living? X kicked away one of the bags, noticing some of the food decaying inside. He curiously picked it up and, with a sniff, squeaked and tossed it to the side. "PEE-YEW!!! BLAGH!!! Yucky! So yucky! How long has this been here???" No response. "Two?" X approached, bags developed under Two's eyes as they withered. This hasn't exactly happened before...
Two looked back at the door, peeking out. No Four. They closed the door and hurried back by Tw's side. X feared upsetting 4 and didn't want to help Two, but something... something gnawed at them. As they leaned over, he quietly asked, "Umh. How are you doing?"
Of course, no response.
"Okay, umh... Two, you can't just... rot in here, you know that riiiight?" That made Two frown harder. Of course, they knew they couldn't get themselves to get up. "Look, I'm not supposed to be too nice to you, but... this is kind of...-" X looked at the mess that surrounded the room. "-...Bad? I-It can't be good." Two's body fell into static once more. Nothing felt real anymore. Just... numb.
X blinke,d then sighed. "I need to get back. Sorry... Just try to do something besides lying here, okay? Live a little! X threw up their hands and smiled with glee.
Two didn't respond, prompting X to lower his arms back down, looking off-handly.
In a blink, they were gone.
Two slightly turned to the door.
"Don't go..." They thought.
