Notes:

Anyways, I'm back for more ideas and whatnots! HAHAHA!

This idea was miraculously graced by authors whom users I no longer remember or just their ideas I had adapted for this masterpiece to be born.

And yes, Apollo/Icarus is now a canon headcannon, thank the original author who does it.

Is at indefinite updates, so don't keep your hopes up pls...

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

O, leader of the muses, may sorrows not let you fallen thy love!

For the worth shatters thy immortal soul into pieces!

Hear us, god of truth, for loving is cruel as winter's woe!

May you never fall for another, for eternity once more!

As far as Phoebus know, there hadn't been times where he felt broken after his birth.

He's always been such a bright child, as his mother likes to call him. His sister, though opposite of what he is, shares the same sentiment as their mother.

His uncle, Ennosigaios, had been the only constant relative who actually cares about him and his sister, aside from their mother. His uncle had created an island for their mother to give birth for them. Though, it is small, it is still enough for them to live in harmony together.

His uncle's family was big, yet they're happy. Sometimes they're complicated, sometimes they fight, sometimes they're genuinely happy as a whole. It's nice to the eyes. His uncle does loves his family deeply.

And his uncle was the father he silently acknowledged, all but blood.

His father wasn't the best to begin with, more like a stranger who only acknowledged both of them as they aged, only met him upon receiving their domains.

Phoebus received his domains before his sister could, though, his sister had been freer to take her time, much more than Phoebus does.

He recalled it being a bit small for a big celebration. Phoebus has part of the domain to the sun, similar to how Hyperion held that domain. Not only that, he became the god of archery.

Phoebe received hers sometime later. Though, hers was quite grander, clearly favored by their father, like their half-sister was. It's a wonder why their father both favored his daughters for swearing maidenhood.

Much to the dismay expressions of Phoebus and the rest of his siblings, none of them could answer.

Speaking of siblings, Pheobus' mischievous little half-brother, Kyllopodion was his favourite, as well as a best friend of his. Whenever what they do, they always have each other's back. Cue to being their father's unspoken favourite.

Though, Kyllopodion was the god of messenger, he had perks for being one more often, he's also a very big gossip due to it.

His step-mother, the legitimate wife of his father, Basileia, barely tolerates him and the rest of his siblings, aside from her own children. However, Basileia welcomes his eldest half-sister, Pallas with open arms despite his sister born from a previous marriage of his father.

His other uncle, Agesilaos, is quite reserved. He openly accepts Phoebus and Phoebe as his kin, similar to how Ennosigaios treats them both. His wife and also a cousin and half-sister of theirs, Kore, adores them as a family.

Kore is also pretty much the sheltered cousin, but at least she wasn't hostile, just nice and simple.

His aunts, Daduchos and Aidios, are pretty much civil. They occasionally sit down and chat about stuffs. Sometimes, Phoebus and Phoebe would accompany Daduchos to hunt some rodents whenever the harvest season came. And whenever both siblings are at Olympus, Aidios would invite them over tea, she loves a good company and was often ignored by peers, but she's the nicest aunt ever.

Andreiphontēs, Ourania, Kyllopodíōn, Pallas and Dia welcomes them both to the family. Though, Phoebe is quite close to Dia, mainly because she's a "maiden that needs to be protected at all cost", Phoebus doesn't talk to them much, but they're pretty civil and so does he.

Even his own set of nephews and nieces are pretty much civil with him.

Even his youngest half-brother, Dimetor, was civil.

It does brings wonder to the young Phoebus' mind about family.

Just what is family?
