Work Text:
Darcy Lewis was humming to herself as she made her and Bill Weasley some apple pies to take to his family home. “So I wonder how this is going to work, Bill? I am not a novice about magic since I have met Thor and Loki from Asgard. Bill….” Darcy’s voice drifted off when she felt his arms wrapped around her waist for a comforting cuddle.
“I am trying to make these pies for your mother! I have a feeling she doesn’t like me since you dumped Fleur.” Darcy babbled, ignoring the kisses Bill was giving her on the crook of her neck.
“She needs to take some time getting to know you! Besides, dad loves you!” Bill complemented when he sniffed the aroma of the apple pies baking. “Yum, I hope you have left one for us?” He inquired as Darcy noticed his pleading eyes.
“Yes! How can I say no to wolfman?” Darcy cuddled with Bill as they flipped through the tv channels.
Five minutes later, they heard a pecking noise at the kitchen window. “Oh look, it’s Percy’s owl, Hermes.” Bill rose up to let the screech owl in; and when Hermes spied the roost, he settled down to preen his feathers.
Bill found some hefty pieces of meat and a water bowl for Hermes to refresh himself as Billunattached the parchment from the owl’s leg. He unscrolled the parchment and uttered, “Shit! Marriage law has been enacted. Pack your bags, love. We are going home and getting married right away!” He kissed Darcy's cheek and rushed to the bedroom to pack while she stood there in shock.
Hermes hooted at her in concern as she petted the owl’s head. “I guess I will be ok with this.” Darcy sighed, checking on the apple pies and seeing they were done. She placed them in boxes and went to the bedroom to pack.

Five hours later, they were at The Burrow. Darcy was nervous but quelled the sensation when Arthur opened the door and smiled when he saw the couple. “Come in! Bill, I got the papers you asked for. Darcy, please read them as well.” Arthur waved his hand towards the Ministry papers.
Darcy adjusted her glasses and read the fine parchment looking for some loophole.
“Hey Darcy! Look who I found!” Hermione walked in the room, dragging Loki in with her.
“Darcy, seems like we find ourselves in a bit of a predicament.” Loki stood next to her.
“Well it's a life changer for me since I can’t do any magic. But I do have apple pies!” She exclaimed as Hermione helped her with the boxes.
“Darcy, let's go ahead and get married now. We can plan for another ceremony later,” Bill exclaimed after reading the parchment.
“Dressed like this?” She gestured at herself, and Loki did her a favor by changing her outfit into a nice wizarding robes. “Thanks, Loki!”
“Of course, we will be there as witnesses.” Hermione came back ignoring Loki’s glare.
“That would be great! And where is mom?” Bill questioned Arthur seeing that he didn’t hear his mother bustling in the house.
Arthur cleared his throat replying, “Out with Ginny and Harry. So you two have time to head over to The Ministry without her interfering. I sent word to Kingsley to expect you.”
“Thank you dad!” Bill exclaimed as he activated the Floo Network, and the four of them headed to Kingsley's office.
Darcy was in awe when she glanced around the elegant room.
Kingsley had finished signing off the papers and motioned for them to approach. The marriage handfasting ceremony went off without a hitch. Once Bill and Darcy signed their marriage license with Hermione and Loki as witnesses, Kingsley congratulated them.
