Chapter 1: Lost

Chapter Text

It was the last day of senior year and your track team had just won championships, and you felt like you were on cloud nine. Though the bus ride was loud and all the more bumpy, you weren't going to ruin your day over a headache, so you congratulated your team and conversed with your friends. Before you knew it the bus stoppeed and came to a holt and you were back at your high school.

You went to the locker room with your team to change back into uniforms and shower, but in the middle of taking your almost depressingly cold shower, the water stopped and the lights turned off.

You put on your towel and stepped out, wondering why no one else had questioned the scenario you were in at the time, but to your surprise nobody remained.

"Hey, cut the crap and turn the water back on, would you?"

Still, no answer. So you huffed and changed into your schools uniform. Exiting the locker room you saw it wasn't just your team that had left, but the entire school and Tokyo had gone with them. You stepped outside being met with a gloomy day, the sky filled with clouds and the occasional boom of... fireworks?

"What the fuck is going on?"

You went to nearby stores, not caring what place it was, but rather just finding another person. You were almost about to give up until you walked into the neighbouring grocery store, and all the fruits and vegetables were rotted. You couldn't have been here for more than an hour, so you wondered how the floors were littered and how the food was bad.

You walked outside after seeing the light of a screen. The big white glow displaying for meters and meters. Suddenly text appeared 'THIS WAY TO THE GAME ARENA.' Following was a huge arrow pointing down the Shibuya crossing station. Various other screens lit up with arrows, and because you had nowhere else to go, you curiously followed. Besides, you liked surprises except when they were bad.
