Aoi doesn't know how he got stuck in this situation, no, even worse, he doesn't know what kind of sick nonsense got into his head to do this.
It was a usual day in student council room.
Banter and teasing could be heard trough the door, thank God it was kind of late so nobody really was walking down the halls and classrooms.
"Why are you bashing my music taste all of the sudden!? " akane barked out a scoff while tapping his pen on top of the table.
"Maybe because all your answers were related to akane -san. " Minamoto teased back.
Aoi huffed and slightly shaked his head in annoyance while his eye twitches. I mean yeah all of Aoi's answers where Ao-chan related, but, does it matter ? He liked her more then himself! So of course he would like music she likes, besides they were best friends since childhood.
"Well then all mighty President Minamoto would you be so kind as to tell me what you listen to?" Akane asked putting his pen down finally, the room became quite just for a minute giving some time for Teru to think.
"I don't listen to music " terus answer was short and firm.
"What." Akanes answer was as short as terus but easily way more awkward.
"I don't listen to music, wow I didn't think you'll lose your hearing abilities at 16" teru teased with the same smile he had, that one that didn't reach his eyes. Akane absolutely hated that smile, but that was another topic.
"No, I! It's not what I meant! I mean...like you do it by choice or...?"
The room fell quiet again, this time for longer. Akane was already ready to check his watch to see if he accidentally stopped time when teru spoke.
"No. As an exorcist I don't really have time to listen to music."
Akane swallowed a whole big lump in his throat, terus eyes had that stinge that tried to say something to akane, the same stinge that teru has when trying to ask a favor.
"Would you...like to?" Akane doesn't know why that came out of his mouth, he didn't think properly therefore didn't exactly catch the meaning of his own words.
Teru's eyes lit up just for a glimpse, he actually looked like he wouldn't mind. But of course he was to stubborn for his own good.
"Well then, are you free Saturday morning at like 7? "
Akane doesn't understand what's happening to himself, why was he so set on this, especially for teru ?
"Huh? "
"I asked are you free this Saturday morning at 7, wow prez I didn't think you'll lose your hearing abilities at 17 "
Akane teased.
And surprisingly, teru looked startled, yeah just for a second but still! Aoi was kind of proud of this little glimpse of true Teru.
Minamotos face just came back to its natural look.
"And why are you asking me if I'm free ? "
"To go to the music shop duh. "
Teru rested his chin on his hand and looked at the view behind the window.
After some time passed, Minamoto stood up and grabbed his bag, much to akanes confusion.
"I'll text you. " was the last thing akane heard.
And oh God what did he get himself into?
Saturday morning rolls around, and to much of akanes surprise...teru did text him.
The fact is that, he texted that he is waiting for akane outside his house already.
Aoi shot up from his bed and scrambled to grab some clean clothes, quickly putting them on akane looked at the mirror and slightly brushed his hair.
Grabbing his keys and wallet before walking outside.
"Took you long enough "
Oh wow. Not even a hello?
"When you said you would text me I didn't expect this !"
Teru just chuckled and squinted his eyes for a second.
"What ?" Akane was ready to just go back into his home and close the door right into terus face.
"You're not wearing your glasses "
It wasn't a question it was a statement.
Aoi slightly touched his face and sighed, today will be a long day...
By the time they where near the music shop akane was practically dragging teru.
Because apparently the prince of the school had a big shopping problem.
When they walked inside it was not so full, but for some reason akane didn't let go of terus wrist, and teru didn't seem to really mind.
Akane was walking around looking at some of the albums , "so...why haven't ya listened to any music anyway ? You're 17 prez. It's hard to believe that you haven't even listened to ONE song and said 'yeah...that hits' "
Teru finally stopped starting at everything around him and and lookd at aoi.
"Hmmm, as an exorcist house hold we don't really listen to music, besides tiara, buts she is still so young-"
Akane got used to terus ramblings about his family, that's how he could kidn filter out what to listen to.
Akane hums and just listen to Teru talking. He looked at the albums as Teru talked.
"So the main reason is just bc your family is all exorcist ?"
"Mainly" teru snaps out of his rambling and looks at akane again.
Akane hums a little as Teru snapped out of his rambling phase, "well. What about like...by yourself, listening to music by yourself, ya don't do that ?"
"I have patrols at night and school at the day do you think I have time?" Teru asks teasingly
"I can't tell whether you're trying to be a smartass right now or just stating the fact, dumbass." Akane said as he put down the album that he looked at.
Minamoto finally looked at the albums near him "this one seems interesting " he says looking at *the smiths* album
"The Smiths ? Hm.....haven't listened to anything by them in a while..." Akane took the album and looked at it with a thoughtful look on his face.
"You picked this one out for some reason, explain Minamoto."
"One fan of mine said that I look like a person who would like The smiths " teru says and shrugs.
Akane aoi was an anchor for teru minamoto.
To put it frankly, akane aoi was the only person teru could call a friend.
Yeah teru was popular and always was swooned around by people (specifically fans), but minamoto felt so alone.
Akane aoi had a great way of calling out on terus Bullshit.
Akane hums and puts the album down, "so you're getting it bc you looked like you would like it"
Akane crossed his arms with a slight smirk on his face. "Sounds too easy, there's got to be some other reason for ya picking it out."
Teru had this glimpse of surprise in his eyes again but that quickly disappeared
"I heard it in the shop once..." Teru says scratching his cheek a bit.
"You heard it in the shop once"
Akane repeated what teru said as he looked at the album and looked back at him with a doubtful look on his face.
"Are you saying that when you heard it you thought "oh yeah this sounds good" and then remembered what it was called ?"
"What is this, an interrogation?"
"Shut up"
Akane said as he crossed his arms.
"You're a pain in my ass, I swear it's so hard to figure out what's going on in that empty skull of yours."
"I did hear in the shop, I just didn't mention that kou told me it was the smiths "
"So kou recommended it to ya"
Akane said as he hummed slightly.
"Makes it a whole lot easier to figure out then"
Akane stares at the album in terus hands, his scarred hands are grasping that album like a lifebuoy.
"Cmon, im buying it for ya "
Teru felt akanes hand grabbing his wrist again, and he looked at akane, like really looked.
While akane was buying him the album, teru couldn't tear his eyes from aoi.
"You do understand that I will not he able to listen to this album ?"
Teru said walking out of the shop, akane just elbowed him.
