Work Text:
The shining gleam of the Anon Tokyo towers signals the impermanence of all things. As the pinkness of spring wilts and wanes, the season blooms into the verdant green of summer. Yet in the silent night of Anon Tokyo, the chic cries of lost girls sink into the most heartrending of dreams. And there: within the petals of these lost time, lays the hand of warmth and love, waiting, soon to be grasped.
The year is 2025, and Nagasaki Soyo was late for school.
“Oh no I’m late for school!” Soyorin yelled prettily, toast dangling by her mouth, “I’ve never been late before so this is bad!”
Soyorin rushed towards Tsukinomori high school, a prestigious institution educating only the most oujou sama of oujou sama, and it seems Soyorin here is one of them.
“Safe!!!!” Soyorin gasped as she sauntered to her seat, catching her breath before setting her table for class.
It was a nice spring morning, the best in Anon Tokyo so far, the sunlight was glaring pink and casted very nice shadows.
“Good morning Soyo!”
“Ah, good morning!”
Soyorin waved to her classmates pouring in the classroom, contemplating what she should make for dinner that night.
It was then Soyorin felt the whirr of Anon Tokyo reverberate through the windows and flooring, where she would often look out the window to guess what changes it would bring.
It seemed that it would be bright sunshine and new additions to the Anon Tokyo brand, not that she cared that much, for Anon Tokyo was almost always the same.
“Morning class!” the teacher entered with gusto. “Fine weather we have today! Feels like fine black tea with extra spice extra matcha extra milk extra sugar extra-“
Soyorin picked up her notebook and jotted down her notes in neat cursive for the day:
- mygo practice after school
- Buy milk, noodles, garlic, chili oil, olive oil, and some bread too
- matcha candy for raana as well because she likes the expensive ones
- Practice maths for Friday’s exam

- Why
- Why did you give me that stupid nickname
- Why are you so happy
- Why.
- Why.
- Why are you so important to me.
Then, Soyorin spaced out into Anon Tokyo.
Takamatsu Tomori chewed her breakfast with a vigorous slowness, as today was the day for Anon Tokyo.
Tomorin had an extra special goal to reach, that was to find the best rock for Anon Tokyo, one that Anon Tokyo would like very much. Though she knew that Anon Tokyo would cherish any kind of gift from Tomorin.
Tomorin skipped down the station off to her high school, arriving early as to set herself down on the garden for rock searching.
Tomorin took a moment to breathe, then pressed and sifted through each rock, inspecting its curvature and palming each groove, occasionally lifting a bug to the leaves above or taking interesting sticks for herself.
While she worked, spring beamed across the school garden, students clopping and bustling into class, while Tomorin continued her search for the perfect rock for Anon Tokyo.
Tomorin felt a fallen cherry blossom nest on her nape, then many continued to stick one by one, burying her in a pink fuzzy wetness of warmth.
Tomorin continued to dig and dig, bugs scuttled and sunbathed within her, petals flashing the pinkness of sun back into her mind, and she smiled.
Then, her fingers lingered on a tiny rock; furred, smooth, and warm.
Tomorin clasped the rock in fascination, and held it close, understanding every bit of its light smolder.
This was the rock worthy of Anon Tokyo.
And thus when the bells of Anon Tokyo rung, she knew it was time, time for Anon Tokyo.
Shiina Taki blasted her door open and felt like punching something.
“Ahhh the sun’s so nice… why is the sun so nice.”
Ricky felt a smile creep up her face, the pastel strokes of morning by her shoes.
“Why am I so happy, d-did I have a good dream?!”
Ricky continued to walk wherever her feet took them, the walkways of Anon Tokyo.
“Ugh… fuck… the sun… the sunlight… why is it so bright.”
The Anon Tokyo sun hung high and flickered in her eyes, filtered by the large curtain encasing the city, with a text that sprawled in repulsive cursive: Anon Tokyo.
“Ugh... yuck.”
Ricky continued to walk with an odd frazzle in her brain, as if the sunlight sent its agents onto her skin.
“Fuck.”
Ricky didn’t understand this feeling, it was so annoying, so frustrating, the sun crept under her nerves and kept her moving.
“Argh when did it get this way, why am I like this, why am I blushing- wait oh God I’m blushing why am I blushing.”
Ricky heightened her pace, the Anon Tokyo sun shimmering through the rosy Anon Tokyo towers.
“ARGHHHHHHHH”
Ricky started to run, screaming as loud as she could, tears sparkled down her reddened face, her steps splashing its Anon Tokyo rain, splashing, splashing, splashing.
“AGHHHHHHHH FUCK THIS”
Ricky ran and ran hard, the panda plushie on her bag dancing with the rhythm of Anon Tokyo, its rattle and noise, the beat of her world.
“AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-“
And Ricky was consumed by Anon Tokyo.
Raana gave a heavy yawn into the blue sky, as she was surrounded by many cats of many colors.
“Hm-hmm~ I love you cat”
One of the cats yawned back, approaching Raana’s outstretched hand, and raana brushed off the petals stuck to its fur.
“Mreowww, Mreoowww”
Raana told the cat that she was feeling very happy that day, that something very interesting would happen very soon.
“Mrow?”
The cat seemed to be the inquisitive type!
“Mrow.”
Raana gave the cat a nice affirmative, and the cat seemed happy.
“Mrow!”
Raana then shot the cat a smug look, as if a proud parent praising their child.
“Mrow Mrow!”
Raana said that the boring woman is going to have a lot of fun today, and whether or not she becomes interesting is for Raana to judge!
The cat seemed pleased at this answer, and nuzzled past raana’s arm out to the open sky.
“Hmm-Hmm~ matcha parfait… five today.”
Then Raana woke up, with a feeling that today was going to be a good day.
‘I just had the weirdest dream.’
Anon tested the words in her mind as she took a light bite of her toast, sunlight shining on her plate.
“I just had the weirdest dream.”
Anon said the words aloud, tasted its meaning, affirmed it as fact.
Anon took a bite of her toast, then another, stood up, put on her shoes, walked outside, locked her door, and headed towards school.
Anon continued to nibble on her toast as she walked, chewing on the strange dream she had.
As she remembered it, it was a mygo performance. Taki had given her a solo to play where she outdid even raana who called her an interesting woman, then Taki blushed and said how awesome she thought Anon was and how she always had a crush on her and kissed her but Anon was weirded out by that while smiling uncontrollably, then Soyo appeared and said she had also always liked Anon and kissed her kinda hard and that made Anon feel weird as well so she let go but felt very happy as well, then Tomori appeared and said that she wrote a song about Anon which was called “Anon Tokyo” and it had lyrics to the effect of ‘Ano-chan is so beautiful and awesome, I love her’ and Tomori asked her if she liked her back and Anon understood that it was a confession and smiled at tomori and hugged her and tomori felt super warm and tomori kissed anon and anon felt super happy and giddy and the sun was shining pink and the audience appeared wearing Anon Tokyo shirts and glasses unveiling a large banner that wrote ANON TOKYO and Anon announced that they were no longer mygo but Anon Tokyo and Anon felt very uncomfortable at that and suddenly the stage turned blue black into England and-
“Ano-chan!”
Anon stood in front of her high school, Tomori out of breath clasping her hand.
“Ah Tomorin! I-I’m fine don’t worry. It’s just the morning y’know? Haha…”
Tomori gave Anon a distrusting look and held her hand tighter.
“No… I don’t… you can’t…”
Tomori looked down, steeled herself, then buried herself and Anon into a hug.
“E-eh?!”
“Don’t… don’t go.”
Anon felt a mental tug, something was happening but she didn’t know what. the dream she had this morning and Tomori’s embrace… what’s going on?
“Tomorin…”
Anon held onto Tomori.
“I’m not going anywhere! You can count on that for sure! Please please don’t worry so much… I love you.”
I love you?
“Ah!”
Anon let go of Tomori, whose embrace loosened into a wobbly mess.
Tomori grabbed herself, heaving at the words, tears flowing on the asphalt, nailing her gaze to Anons.
“ANO-CHAN!” Tomori cried, hoarse tears burning in the summer sun. “I LOVE YOU!”
“Hah?!” Taki rapt her knuckles on the bench, “what do you mean you’re going?”
“Eh?”
Anon found herself in Yoyogi park with Takis hand over hers.
“I’m not…” Anon moved her hand away from Takis. “I’m not going what are you talking about?”
“Hm.” Taki grabbed Anons wrist and slid her hand back to where it was. “Alright, that’s good then.”
“Ricky.” Anon looked into Taki’s eyes, an amethyst sparkle in a heat haze. “Ricky what’s happening please I don’t understand.”
Taki brought her face close to Anons, a pounding heart echoed somewhere.
“You know I…” Taki brushed her lips past anons, as if deliberately missing a kiss. “I’ve always hated you.”
“Okay… I know that but-“
“You’re a shallow self centered narcissist who only thinks of her self image, always running your mouth off your stupid fashion brand.” Taki rested her head on anons shoulder, breathing down her collarbone. “But you’re the coolest. You’re so forgiving and stupid, you take everything with pride and see people for what they are… I hate you.”
Taki moved her face up to meet Anons, both red under summer green.
“You say that Ricky… but it’s not true… that’s-“
Taki closed her mouth onto Anons, then shoved her hand up, landing her palm on Anons lips.
“I’m saying I love you, you idiot.”
“A cup of earl gray eh?”
Taki was gone, in front of her now was Soyo, tapping her teacup.
“Soyorin… please tell me whats going on here.”
The windows of RiNG dampened the sunlight, lighting Soyo’s face with a moody yellow.
“Are you really throwing us away?”
“And what’s that supposed to mean?!”
Anon stood and slammed the table.
“What the hell do you mean by throwing you all away?! Do you guys still think I’m doing this for attention?! Is that how much you hate me?!”
“Puh,” Soyo giggled and started laughing “that’s-not-it Anon-chan~ you know that.”
“So?! Then what?!” Anon reached for Soyos collar and grabbed it upwards. “What are you guys saying?! Please!”
Soyo gently undid Anons grasp, and moved to stroke Anons hair.
“Remember when you pulled me back on stage? It’s that.”
“H-huh?! How’s... that’s-“
Soyo cupped Anons face by the ears, towering over with a tired gentle smile.
“You’re with us for life… so don’t you ever leave.”
“I… YOU THINK I DON’T KNOW THAT?!”
Anon pushes Soyo off, panting, confused.
“I… WHY WOULD YOU EVER THINK I’D LEAVE SOMETHING SO IMPORTANT TO ME”
Soyo grabs Anon by the hand midfall, dragging them both to the abyss.
“Yeah, you would never.”
Soyo and Anon twirl in abyssal darkness, latched together in nowhere.
“I won’t leave you, so please don’t leave me.”
Then, Soyo kisses Anon, and Anon tearfully kisses back.
“I love you, thank you.”
RiNG.
Ricky is mad.
Soyorin is mad too.
Tomorin has given me and everyone a rock.
Mine looks like matcha and is furry.
Boring woman claims that Ricky, Soyorin, and Tomorin are in love with her.
She is right, and is now more interesting.
But best of all, the matcha parfaits are untouched.
They are all mine.
Today is a good day.
