‘‘Hey Traveler, Paimon has been thinking for a while… Who exactly is Callista? You know what happened one week ago? What even happened to that… Maria?’’ Paimon rambled on. The Traveler and Paimon were at Liyue, taking a break from their adventures.
‘‘Honestly, now you mentioned it, I am curious too. How do we find it out, though?’’ the Traveler asked.
‘‘Hmm… you know, we could ask Nahida? Maybe there’s a chance she can extract information just like how she got some info about your sister.’’ Paimon suggested.
‘‘That’s a good idea. Let’s try it out.’’ the Traveler replied.
They both set off to Sumeru.
Just then, they spotted a familiar figure walking.
‘‘Hey Traveler, isn’t that Callista? Maybe we can ask her directly?’’ Paimon said, pointing to that person.
“Callista again?” The Traveler joked. “We’ve been seeing a lot of Callista lately.”
“How does Paimon know? It’s like… she’s everywhere!” Paimon huffed. Hence, they walked towards that Callista.
“Hmm… another free day… Oh, Traveler and Paimon? Fate brought us again!” Callista exclaimed.
“That’s one way to put it…” Paimon muttered. “Wait a minute… why is there blood on your gloves…?! Paimon’s scared now…” Paimon flew away from Callista, staying closer to the Traveler.
“Hilichurl slaying, that’s all, seriously.” Callista explained, putting her hands up, seemingly like she surrendered.
“Paimon still does NOT believe you…” Paimon replied. “Anyways… where are you going?” Paimon asked.
“I can always come along if you need my assistance, hehe~” Callista hummed, innocently dodging the question.
“What do you mean, Hee-Hee? Also, we are pretty curious about your background and your relationship with… that… Maria. Could you please please tell us about them…?” Paimon questioned, looking at Callista with her innocent little face.
“…”
“Callista?” Paimon snapped her back to reality the second time(or more-).
“Ah- sorry about that… I’m afraid that some things are not meant to be known…” Callista murmured, looking at the ground.
“Ugh, guess we are kind of back to square one… Anyways, Callista, we are going to Sumeru to find out… some other knowledge. Do you want to join us?” Paimon asked.
“What knowledge exactly?” Callista stared at her(bombastic side eye).
“Uh, well… about you…” Paimon replied nervously.
“I didn’t know you would go THAT far-” Callista said, with a worried look on her face. “But I’m just going to accompany the both of you, because… I want to!” she continued.
“Well, let’s not delay it any longer!” Paimon exclaimed.
