Jane woke up from a nightmare, again. “God why do these keep happening...?” She stood up from her bed her legs gaining composure before she walked towards her bathroom, turning on the light she looked at herself in the mirror. “How would john have reacted if he saw me like this. Maybe caring or worried” Jane fixed her appearance before changing into her work clothes and heading out to the Roblox HQ. Once she got there, she headed to her office, usually John would be waiting for her with breakfast but empty as it has been this month.
After hours of testing servers making sure they work, getting killed over and over to prove that games are working in order she was finally allowed to leave.
On the walk back home Jane saw something in the distance, it kind of looked like- JOHN?? Jane immediately ran towards the figure, reaching out as she yelled him name into the night.
“JOHN! PLEASE COME BACK I CAN’T LET YOU WALK AWAY FROM ME AGAIN!”
The figure stood under the streetlight before turning around slowly, once Jane caught a glimpse of it, she realized it wasn’t John. She stopped in her tracks as she breathed frantically, this creature looked like John but it looked so deformed.
Jane looked into its eyes as it looked back at her, she wanted to run but all she could do was stand there like a deer in headlights. The creature started to walk up to her before she would mutter one word. “J-John...?” Before she could process the creature being so close to her, she felt something stab her stomach. As Jane looked down her vision now shaking, she could see the deformed arm of the creature causing blood from her stomach to spew out, staining her nice clothes in a crimson red. She started to feel lightheaded as she looked back at the monster.
“W-.. Why...?”
That was the last thing to come from her mouth before she coughed out blood, holding her stomach she fell to the ground as her head hit the sidewalk where she died as her blood covered the sidewalk. The creature stepped back in disgust before crouching down their eyes roaming around her body before landing on her face. It didn’t get a glimpse of her but know upon seeing this it realized who she was. “Jane.” John picked her limp body up before hugging her tightly. “I’m. Sorry.” As John held her throughout the night she wouldn’t respawn like she did them testing the games. Nothing could bring her back and that was clear.
