Chapter Text
"I'll come back later," Violet said, "or I won't bother," she added.
Benjamin watched in terror as Violet walked out of the hospital room and shut the door behind her carefully. Then, with a blink of an eye, Benjamin immediately looked at Wayne.
"So, how come you're here?" Benjamin asked with a sour look on his face, not really excited to meet Wayne again after that horrible experience.
Wayne laughed cockily as Benjamin just waited for him to shut the fuck up and explain his reason. "You're not the only one who could go back and forth from Hell to Earth, nerd," Wayne explained.
Well he does have a point. He was a demon after all, though it was just a little (really) silly for him to torment Benjamin like this.
All because he didn't look both ways on the road...
"So, what do you want?"
"Since you cheated death (literally) and had the gall to shoot me with a gun? You've got guts, kid." Wayne then head over to the flowers carefully placed in a vase, only to let them wither by his touch. A disappointed look loomed over his face at the sad pathetic formerly bright flowers that now bent over like how Benjamin did when surfing through those flower pits and toilets, heh.
Benjamin observed Wayne's facial expression then got creeped out. "The hell? Why're you grinning like some weirdo?" Benjamin asked, he swore some chill ran down his spine just now.
"Nothing, nerd!" he answered, "anyway, since I'm torturing you now 'n all, I'm starting the application process for your school!" Wayne, oh so excitedly informed.
"What?!" Benjamin looked at Wayne in disbelief, "What do you mean you're applying to my school?"
"Nerd, don't get too excited, this is your punishment for cheating death... Literally!"
Benjamin shook his head harshly, "No, Wayne! I-I'll do something else to compensate so don't do this to me you jerk!"
Wayne gazed at Benjamin with a cat-like look on his face. "Oh? D'you wanna die again nerd?"
Benjamin had a sour look on his face as he didn't get to respond.
Shit.
Benjamin couldn't help but sigh disappointingly at the shitty outcome that bestowed upon him. Truly, it was the first time he'd actually call himself an idiot for not looking both ways on the streets. He fucked himself up with this one.
"Since you're being silent, and usually silence means yes, I'll take that as a willing yes from you, kid!" Wayne excitedly said, starting to walk up to the hospital room's door, opening it with suave. "Anyway, see ya at school, loser!" Then he disappeared.
Gosh, how stereotypical.
