Sebastian’s hair was seriously long now. It fell in soft curls down to their shoulders. It looked beautiful and Kimi adored seeing Sebastian be their true self.
The only downside was that it was long enough to annoy Sebastian now.
Kimi keeps catching Sebastian blowing strands of hair out of their eyes or trying to push it back when it fell forward over their face. It was clear it was irritating them but they didn't want to cut it.
And so, Kimi decides to do some research.
He opens up YouTube and looks up a few tutorials, watching carefully. He needed to do this perfectly. Sebastian needed to look beautiful once he was done with their hair.
When he's ready he goes to find Sebastian, who's feeding the chickens in the coop. Today they're wearing a beautiful sundress decorated with flowers. As Kimi watches they once again blow the hair out of their eyes.
“Need some help?”
Sebastian looks up, beaming softly when they see their husband. “I'm almost done. Just checking they're secure for the night.”
Kimi nods, but motions to them. “I mean with your hair.”
“Oh?” Sebastian tilts their head curiously. “I don't want it cut if you're offering that. It's just slightly annoying.”
Kimi holds out a hair tie, moving over to him. “Turn around?”
Surprised, Sebastian does as Kimi asks and he takes a hold of Sebastian's hair gently. He takes a deep breath and, remembering what the video taught him, he makes a perfect messy bun on top of Sebastian's head.
Sebastian makes a soft sound and gently touches the top of their hair. “Oh?”
Kimi holds out Sebastian's little bee compact mirror for them to take a look. They take it and open it up, marvelling at the bun on top of their head.
“Do you like it?” Kimi asks softly.
“I love it, thank you.” Sebastian gives Kimi a beaming smile, moving to kiss him.
Kimi returns the kiss, feeling warmed by the fact he had managed to make Sebstian happy.
Maybe he needed to learn more things. It couldn't hurt in the long run.
Sebastian pulls back, eyes warm and loving as they look at Kimi. “Want to help me make sure the coop is ready for the night?”
Kimi nods and together they check the pen, Sebastian smiling the entire time.
Kimi realises he would do this again. Forever and ever. Because his Sebastian smiling like the sun is the most precious gift to him.
What he doesn't know is that he's smiling just as much as Sebastian is and Sebastian sneaks glances, enjoying seeing their husband happy too.
Its beautiful.
