Chapter Text

Chapter 1, Getting settled isn't easy.

A month passed since Mephisto's cult was defeated by the combined forces of the Taimanin and the Hunter. It's been extremely quiet and peaceful, especially to Dimitri as he tries to settle into a more relaxed lifestyle. Granted Gosha Mansion is much larger than the Abbey and life with Shiranui and Yukikaze was all he could ask for but the half demon warrior began to miss the old life. It was much more chaotic sure but it was quite daring and adventurous.

Even missions with the Taimanin didn't feel quite the same as Dimitri hunted nothing but orcs and lizardmen which quickly became a bore. "If only Charlie were here, then at least it wouldn't be as tedious around here." Dimitri thought to himself as he stared at the ceiling. Shiranui strolled into the room, quickly noticing the expression on the hunter's face as she sits beside him. "What's the matter darling? You've been like this the last few days." Shiranui uttered out gently, her hand caressing Dimitri's face. "Nothing Shiranui, it's just...been a bit too peaceful here. Even when i'm on missions with you, they feel like chores. Not saying i hate working with you, it's just...not as exciting as my old life." Dimitri explained.

"I...see. I'm not sure if i completely understand but it pains me seeing you like this, Dimitri-san." Shiranui replied, her hand resting on Dimitri's shoulder when the hunter rose up. "I apologize if i make you worry, Shiranui.

Just then, Yukikaze's voice echoed from downstairs. "Mom, i'm home." Shiranui and Dimiti walked downstairs to see Yukikaze resting on the couch in the living room. "Welcome home, Yuki-chan." Shiranui uttered out as she sat down beside her daughter. "Hey, i was wondering if you have any plans with Rinko-chan or the others?" Shiranui questioned Yukikaze. "Shiranui, what are you..." Dimitri was going to say before Yukikaze answered "Well, Rinko-san and i were gonna go see that movie this weekend. Why do you ask, Mom?"

"Dimitri-san says that he's struggling to his new life with us and i was wondering if you could invite him along?" Shiranui explained. This surprised both Yukikaze and Dimitri as the latter replied "You don't have to do this for me, Shiranui." Yukikaze then uttered out "What? Do i have to Mom? I mean, Dimitri's cool but he might cramp me and Rinko-san's style."

"I know this is sudden Yuki-chan but who knows, maybe having Dimitri there might make it even more fun." Shiranui reassured Yukikaze when Dimitri replies "I feel like i should have a say in this. I know you want to help me but i'm not sure if this is necessarily the answer." as he places a hand on the female Taimanin's shoulder. Shiranui pauses for a moment, looking at the hunter in the eyes as she softly replied "Dimitri, i'm sorry if this is sudden but i just want you to be happy with us. You don't have to go if that's what you want." Shiranui leaned in and pecked Dimitri on the cheek. Dimitri lets out a small sigh before replying back "Fine, i'll go if it'll make you happy but i'll try to stay out of Yukikaze and her friend's way."

Yukikaze looks at Dimitri with a smile on her face before saying "I guess it's fine but if you're going with us then you need a better fashion sense."

Dimitri looked at the young Taimanin with a confused look before replying "I beg your pardon?"

Five days later

The doorbell rang outside as Yukikaze walked up and opened it to reveal a woman her age but she was taller with a slim but curvy frame. Her blue hair reached to her ankles as the wind from outside cause it to slightly flow upwards. The woman was wearing a violet trench-coat with blue jeans that compliment her purple eyes. "Well, Rinko-san, are you ready?" Yukikaze uttered out to her fellow Taimanin as the latter replied "Why of course, i...honestly don't watch many movies."

Just then, Dimitri walked in wearing a white trenchcoat with a black undershirt, grey pants and black shoes. "I honestly don't see why i have to wear this, Yukikaze?" Dimitri said as he looked at himself in the mirror. True he liked the outfit he was wearing but he didn't think that it was something to wear at the movies. "Honestly, your fashion sense is pretty boring so i thought that Rinko and i could help with it." Yukikaze replied as Rinko nodded in agreement. "Do you honestly think the way that i dress is boring?" The hunter uttered out.

"Pretty much. Anyway, let's head out." Yukikaze chirped as the three of them headed off to the shopping mall in Shibuya. After an hour of driving, the trio finally arrived in Shibuya, it's crowded streets brimming with life. "So, why isn't Shiranui-san with us?" Rinko questioned Yukikaze who casually replied "Mom had to help Asagi-senpai with filing some paperwork but she gave me some money to get some drinks and snacks." The three finally arrived at the theater located in the nearest shopping mall. The whole place was crowded with people, some of them wearing shirts depicting an silver giant punching a large reptilian monster. "I suppose i should've said this sooner but what film are we seeing?" Dimitri questioned the young Taimanin as she replied "It's some Tokusatsu movie that I've been interested in for a while now. It's about this guy who bonded to this giant made out of light and together they fight kaiju and evil space aliens."

"I didn't think you would be interested in such a thing, Yukikaze." Rinko uttered out as Dimitri nodded in agreement. "Actually, Tatsuro-chan said he saw the movie and knew it would be something i would like so i took his advice and planned this whole thing out...minus Dimitri being here." Yukikaze explained to the two when she walked up to a nearby electric kiosk as she pressed a few buttons before three tickets slid out of the machine.

"So that's how you purchase tickets here in Japan. I assumed it was quite similar to how the theaters worked in America." Dimitri said with a hint of surprise in his tone, causing Rinko to turn around as she replied "Oh, you went to a movie theater before, Dimitri-san?"

"No i haven't but a friend of mine told me about how she would see films with her friends." Dimitri explained when Yukikaze returned with the tickets, handing one to the hunter and the other one to Rinko. The trio walked into the room showing the film before taking their seats. "Do you normally sit this close to the screen?" Dimitri uttered out while holding his left hand in front of his eyes, trying to shield them from the bright light. "Pretty much." Yukikaze replied, her eyes glued onto the screen in front of her. Suddenly, Yukikaze began to feel a chill in the air as she held her arms together to try to stay warm. Dimitri, realizing that the young woman was cold, placed his own coat on her. The young Taimanin replied "Thanks Dimitri-san but you didn't have to give me the coat."

"I just didn't wanna you see get cold. Besides, Shiranui would've gotten mad that her baby girl would've froze to death while in the theater." Dimitri joked, causing Yukikaze to blush at the comment when the movie suddenly started. While Yukikaze and Rinko watched with glee, Dimitri mostly shielded his eyes from the bright lights causing him discomfort but not enough where he missed most of the movie. Granted, he found some of the action a bit tacky but he still mostly enjoyed it. After the film ended, the trio exited the room when Yukikaze piped up "That...wasn't bad. I expected it to be kinda lame but i did like it. I should let Tatsuro-chan recommend more movies to us huh." Rinko commented "Honestly, i'm not much of a fan of action movies but i enjoyed some of it." The two turned over to Dimitri who simply replied "I will admit, some of the action was too...corny for my taste but i found the silver giant to be brave, daring hero willing to risk himself to save those he loves."

"That last part was...weirdly articulate even for you Dimitri-san." Yukikaze uttered out as they exited the theater. While on the way back, the trio stopped to get themselves some ice cream. While he never cared for sweets, Dimitri got himself a shake while Yukikaze and Rinko got themselves a cone and a bowl respectively. After an sugar-fueled hour, the trio finally arrived back to Gosha Mansion as Rinko and Yukikaze walked up the stairs and retreated to Yukikaze's room. Dimitri, slightly tired from hearing about the girl's plans and Rinko's sudden hyperactivity from consuming so much chocolate, puts his barely touched shake into the fridge and walked into his bedroom before collapsing onto the bed.

Suddenly, the door to the bathroom opened up as steam crawled out into the cool air. Dimitri raised his head to see Shiranui wearing a black bathrobe that emphasized her curves. "I didn't think you were here Shiranui." Dimitri uttered out in a tired voice, his eyes struggling to stay awake. "Asagi and i managed to finish filing paperwork a little earlier than we expected so i figured i would surprise you." Shiranui explained as she sat beside Dimitri. As the exhausted hunter rested his head on the Taimanin's lap, he uttered out "I'm surprised you didn't ask about my evening with the girls."

This response elicits a chuckle from Shiranui who replied "You're absolutely right darling. How was it?" For a moment, Dimitri rested his eyes to think of a response when he said "It was...fine at first before we stopped for some delicacies. I admit that giving Rinko some chocolate ice cream was a bad idea on my part, especially since she suddenly started became too much to bear. Same with Yukikaze but she wasn't as bad as her."

"I...see. I'm more surprised that Rinko-chan actually had some ice cream than you getting easily tired from how hyper the girls became. She normally doesn't eat many sweets since it interferes with her training." Shiranui uttered out while she adjusted her bathrobe, causing her breasts to jiggle. "Anyway, i'm kinda glad that i got to spend some time with Yukikaze. I guess you were right all along, Shiranui." This comment made Shiranui smile in gratitude when she replied "See, sometimes the most minor moments in life can be as exciting as...well not as exciting as your old life but it can be..." but before she could finish her sentence, she saw Dimitri dozing off on his side of the bed. Seeing this, Shiranui kissed her lover on the cheek before reaching for the light. "Goodnight Dimitri-san."
