    When you enjoy something, you enjoy it deeply. You become it and it becomes you, and if there’s a character in that something available to especially like, you become them thoroughly and they thoroughly become you.

    Now, all that was more metaphorical than anything; you don’t REALLY “become” the media you like, or the characters in it, and you’re more than aware of that.

    Because of that awareness, you don’t ever think about what would happen if those words were more literal, and you’d prefer to keep it that way.
