Turner sighed. Life has been rough for him lately. Inspiration has vanished, his old style of art is just not cutting it as of late. The ideals of Burke’s On the Sublime and Beautiful have escaped his brush, seemingly gone as fast as a steam train.
Not all is bad though. On the subject of steam powered engineering, Turner gets to go on a steam boat! A real boat! Oh golly he can’t wait to see what sublime beautiful depictions are out there in the sea’s depths.
The boat is called the Ariel, or at least he thinks it’s a boat. He can’t be quite sure if it’s real, he just paid to get on the damn thing and explore the wonders of nature!
He looks downs at his new wrist watch. 10:24. He’s got so much time until it sets sail, so he has all the time in the world to check its existence when he gets there.
Turner sighs again. Life is about to get interesting.
