Work Text:
Hypno stared at the book, its huge pages bigger than his body. The huge words scattered around the page. Things Hypno didn’t exactly understand all that much. Hypnozition. Why exactly was he trying to study this?
Well Grian brought some cookies home, and Hypno wanted one and instead of being a normal person and asking. He was going to Hypnotize Grian for one instead. Why not?
He grabbed one of the pages pushing the page, it was hard as he was so tiny. “Hypno!” he looked up and let the page go, it falling back down. He waved to Wels. “What are you doing?” Wels asked, looking down at the book.
"Studying hypnotization.” Hypno explained, Wels raised an eyebrow, confused about why Hypno was doing that. Hypno could sense that and replied quickly. “I wanted hypnotized Grian to give me a cookie.” Wels nodded. “You should join me!” Wels brightened a smile on his face as Hypno grabbed his arm and led him to the kitchen.
He was pretty sure Grian was in there. And he was there. The tall Watcher leaning on the counter staring at some papers and scribbling with a pen. Hypno looked up at Grian. “Grian!” he yelled, hoping the Watcher would hear him. He did, looking down, questioning.Hypno thought about what he had learned in the book and started. “Look into my eyes,” he demanded, Grian obeyed, still confused. “Give us a cookie.” Wels didn’t look conceived on what Hypno was doing but he didn’t input. “Please,” Hypno added.
Grian just looks confused before he breaks out laughing. “That’s what you're asking for?” He said between laughs, clutching his stomach. “You could just ask normally.” Hypno didn’t understand, why didn’t that work? Grian leans over the counter grabs the jar, and pulls out two small cookies. “Here you two go, kudos for you for that.” He bent down and gave the two hermits a cookie each.
”Thanks!” Hypno said, Wels nodded in agreement. Well, that worked out.
