You woke up late at night to your boyfriend in his animagus form, crawling into your bed and snuggling right up next to you. You laugh softly, trying to keep yourself quiet as Padfoot’s wet nose presses against your bare neck.
“Sirius, come on, you know you can be yourself in here.”you whisper.
With a small puff of smoke, your boyfriend turns back to his human form and presses gentle kisses along your jaw. You smile and run your fingers through his soft black hair.
“Couldn’t sleep?”you ask.
“I just sleep better when you’re here is all.”
“You always have, sweetheart.”
He leans up and presses a gentle kiss to your lips. You return the kiss and run your thumb along his jaw.
“Did I wake you up?”he whispers.
“Mhm. But I don’t mind. I sleep better in your arms anyway.”
Sirius grinned that signature wide smile of his and shuffled around a little so that you could lay your head on his chest. You happily obliged and rested your head on his chest, wrapping one arm around his waist. He gently ran his fingers through your hair and kissed the top of your head, the movement of his fingers lulling you right back to sleep.
When you woke up the next morning, your roommate, Lily Evans was standing next to your bed, already in her school uniform and her hands on her hips.
“You can’t sneak him in here.”she scolds.
“Oh, you’d do the same with Potter, so you have no room to talk. He just wanted to be held while he slept.”you retort, slowly getting out of bed, making Sirius whine a little.
Reluctantly, Lily walks away and heads to class. You and Sirius get dressed and follow after.
